Corte Belfiore
Perfumer: Emily Buzh
Corte Belfiore means Belfiore Court, Fiore is flower in Italian, Belfiore itself I think is not an actual word, rather a word to describe how wonderful a place is (please correct me if I am wrong), so Corte Belfiore’s meaning should be close to a court of wonderful flowers.
This one (orange ribbon), along with Vicolo del Sellaio (white ribbon) came the last, following the release of their 4 older eau de parfum siblings (blue, yellow, red, and pink ribbon).
I see Corte Belfiore as the older of the twin, and she is a vibrant girl, a bit sultry maybe, but it’s because she’s the youngest girl in the family. She could be a bit nasty when you first know her, but when you get to know her better, she’s so much nicer.
Corte Belfiore opens up sour from the plum, and my initial thought was that I wouldn’t like this one, but when the top notes dissipates, this emanates a warm , wonderful, yellowish aura, a bit fruity, a bit flowery, and it just getting better and better with time.
This one, even though marketed for woman, this is a unisex scent, man can easily pull this off.
Above average projection, and great longevity, 8 hours plus.

Have a decant of this one, thanks Mooniq, and my first thougt was that this has a aquatic note that felt familiar but i couldn´t place at first! After the first hour past by and the dry down begun i suddenly realised that this scent reminds me a LOT of Tom Ford Black Orchid, but much much less intense! To me the notes that stands out are the praline and the patchouli even if the later is a whisper i comparison with Black Orchid! But it´s over all the same a bit aqutic start, the spicy, slightly incency drydown and faint vanilla and as i mentioned in my nose the dominant praline-accord and the whole duration of it has the patchouli-note! Many of the notes are also represented in both scents and this is definitly inspired by Black Orchid alltough it´s a scent on its own! It also has good quality to it, no cheap vibe! Excellent choise for those who, like me, find Black Orchid to heavy! Ps, Adrienn99, no Patchouli in Shalimar…?, what are you talking about, there is a lot of it in Shalimar! 😉

I have gotta disagree Mooniq, not much similarity with Shalimar. Shalimar is a lot more rounded and this one’s a bit sharp on the patchouli. No patchouli in Shalimar. I find this very similar to Kat von D Sinner, which is a fruitchouli too. If you compare the notes, you’ll see. Sinner is a fraction of the price of this so probably worth to give it a shot.

To me this is not a fruity floral – its a Oriental scent.
Not a typical female scent but a wonderful scent! Warm, soft, sexy. Deep and adult flowernotes, wellblended with some spicy’s. I don’t find it sweet and thats good. I don’t like sweet notes in my perfumes. I love spicy, woody oriental notes – and this one got that.
If you love Shalimar with its Vanilla, Incense, Leather mix – Corte Belfiore got the Vanilla, plum, Incense, woody mix. The Vanillanote is deep and rich. They DON’T smell the same, but share the rich deep vanilla.
