Description
After the Cool Water Night Dive masculine fragrance, Davidoff also launches the feminine version Cool Water Night Dive Woman, also in 2014. Cool Water Night Dive line is a call for a sensual night diving. It evokes images of mysterious night and moonlight shimmering on the ocean. Cool Water Night Dive Woman is a combination of sensuality, charm and power and symbolizes a modern mermaid.
The composition evokes cold water of the ocean and the mystical impression of the night. It opens with fruity accord of Italian mandarin, which leads to the heart of Arab and jasmine pistachio tree absolute. The base contains green and woody facets of patchouli and cedar. These notes give it depth, structure and dose of mysticism.
Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive Woman is available as 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Toilette with shower gel and body lotion of 150 ml.
The nose behind this fragrance is Veronique Nyberg.

I’ve held back from purchasing the original Cool Water, because i feel its too soft. Night Dive starts out with a blast of citrus and wood. Middle tones; mint and aquatic floral notes. Base notes; I get more floral notes, verbena and amber. The drydown reminds me of Pure DKNY verbena.

I agree with @orangepekoe. I detect a little bit of mint. Fresh and woody notes together. Who get bored from sweet parfumes, like me, this is a good choice.

I have grown into davidoff, in my 20’s I couldn’t deal with the masculinity but as my nose has evolved, and will probably continue to, I don’t detect manliness in davidoff women’s perfumes.
Night dive is great.
I had on night dive and another one, wave I think it was, they are very different.
ND is more nighttime, not fresh fruity, pale. ND has a wood creamy floral but not flowery freshness, watery is slight. It has a flattish part maybe the woods are coming through and the creaminess lessens which made it feel flat? An hour or two and the aquatic aspect drifts up into my nostrils.
The accords look right, but st the time I couldn’t have named what I smelled apart from creamy, fresh wood, floral but not noticeably. It’s not thick so to speak, not heavy and night time sort.

Well, according to the official site, it does NOT contain nut or resin notes, in fact, it is a rather traditional composition:
“Top : Sparkling freshness with mandarin and ginger
Heart : Feminine and aquatic floral bouquet with hyacinthe and jasmine
Base : Attraction of patchouli, cedar wood and amber”.
I would call this an ambery-woody scent that is rather fresh with a definite aquatic touch, much like its predecessors. I mostly feel the jasmine, aquatic notes, warmth of patchouli and amber as well as ginger which reminds me of BLV Pour Homme but more feminine and “perfumey”.
Very comfy, “Sports Luxe” type of scent, pretty effortless and enjoyable. It also reminds me of car freshener, which I guess might smell too synthetic for some tastes.

I have the original Cool Water but I don’t use it much, I find it can be quite overwhelming for me and sometimes downright nauseating. I thought I would try this after reading Unearthly Apothecary’s review below. This is really, really gorgeous! Even though it has a woody/patchouli thing going for it, it still retains the best part of the original, its freshness! This is an absolute winner for me! Thank you @unearthlyapothecary! Great scent for our hot summers and I venture I will wear this well into Autumn too.

I absolutely LOVE this! I have never smelled a “fresh” scent that had woody/resin notes. This will be my new summer favorite I can tell. The scent opens with a juicy citrus aquatic burst ( the Cool Water DNA is very much present) this leads into a slightly sweet jasmine/patch/woodsy heaven. I really can’t say that I can detect pistachio. This does have a masculine vibe but the sweetness keeps it from totally crossing that line. This is absolutely WONDERFUL I agree with the reviewer who said this is like a combo of Alien and original Cool Water. the silage is not as great as I wished but far from horrible. I’m crossing my fingers for good longevity.

I just blind bought a bottle of this. This is really lovely. Definitely up my alley, with the wood, patchouli and balsamic notes. I smell orange, a hint of jasmine, and a moderate, yet restrained, amount of patchouli. I smell something that’s resiny, but I can’t identify it as amber, or mastique, or any particular balsamic note, or resin. I don’t really smell the pistachio. I think it’s mostly just Woodsy notes.
It has the Davidoff Cool Water DNA, so it has a hint of an aquatic feel, but it is a different take on the theme. It is summery, but of course, it’s the end of winter in my part of the world. I do feel like this is a summer night perfume.
It is appropriate enough for an afternoon in the chilly beginning of March, but I can’t wait to wear it in the dead of summer. I think it will be perfect for sitting with my husband and our friends on our large front porch…laughing and drinking Mike’s hard lemonade, and enjoying the cool late night…hearing the ceiling fans from inside the house, through the open front door, and the crickets outside in the distance.

Lovely scent. The woody notes are prominent to me, but it still carries some freshness. This is warmer and sexier than the other Cool Water flankers. I don’t think i would call it masculine, but it isn’t super feminine either. I also detect a little bit of citrus and the barest whiff of a floral. This is not the summer-bright, fresh-air and aquatic scent that you typically associate with Cool Water. This is warm, seductive, intimate.

I love it. Can’t stop breathing it in. It’s like you’re in a forest of pines and jasmine flowers. I detect a little bit of mint.
Dimas730 – :
It smells like generic men’s aftershave/shower gel. Along the lines of Axe for instance. Very linear. I don’t understand how this is for women… It is unisex at the very least. Gave me a headache, very sharp and fresh/green but in a masculine way.

I’m not a big fan of Aquatics, in fact they are my least favorite family. But I saw this at Marshall’s for $9.99 and looked up the notes- The Pistachio and woods intrigued me. Being a Cool Water, I did expect it to at least a little fresh and sharp but nothing in the notes led me to think this would be a proper Aquatic. So it went home with me and I was filled with hope I’d get a slightly nutty/wood slight mandarin/jasmine enigma.
What I got was a very typical CW/AdiG body mist. It’s a metallic orange and sharp alcohol mess. It doesn’t change or dry down because the siliage and projection are abysmal. Even on clothes I’s say it lasts about an hour- on skin 20 minutes.
As an aside, when I wore this around my husband for the first time he said “You smell good, what are you wearing?” (Normally if I get a “You smell good” from him, he doesn’t care enough to know what it is) I knew he would like this though, it’s more his taste and it is slightly masculine. Maybe I’ll just give it to him.

This smells like if Alien (Thierry Mugler) and the original Cool Water had a love child together!

I have 2 samples of this fragrance. Obviously, I sprayed one of them and you know what… I really like this fragrance! It is a fruity, woody scent that I love! When you sprayed it, the mandarin and cedar are smacking you in the face! Then when it dries down you’re smelling the softness of the scent by smelling the jasmine and amber. At all it is a very nice fruity woody scent for spring (IMO).

It’s my first blind buy based on the notes and the comments and it is magnificent!
I never thought that I could appreciate woody notes, because usually I’m into fresh white flowerer and citruses á la Aqua di Gioia or Sheer Beauty, but this one changed me!
The woody note that I usually hates turnes into something deep, warm and delicious on my skin, so I go and sniff myself the whole day ;0)
Yes, it does last from mornign to night on me as well. This might be the first bottle I’ll finish.

Another lovely aquatic by Davidoff! It’s not oceanic like Cool water and it’s more masculine, but in a lovely way. I like that the pistachio is a prominent note. The combination of jasmine, citruses and woodsy notes gives the final touch. Pretty good!

Strage thing.. I love the scent but it’s alot like a man’s fragrance, though I’m light years from caring really.. too bad it doesn’t last, no projection.
It’s aquatic but not ripe or flowery, superfresh! different from anything on the market for ladies today, nothing “nighty” about it though.
Love it but prolly wont buy it due to poor projection.

Perfume forte, sensual e envolvente com boa fixação… Gostei bastante… muito diferente do fresquinho cool water original… este não tem nada de fresco.
