As someone who had Exotic Summer and Coral Reef I have to admit to really struggling to tell the differences between them.
I’ll admit that I find Davidoff to be a house that are cost effective and produce good fragrances but have to frown on releasing fragrances with only minor tweaks, also the “Cool Water” title should be removed as this (in my opinion anyway) has little to no connection with the original, Cool Water starts fresh and gets dark, has no citrus notes and is instantly recognisable. These flankers so far have been somewhat generic, Coral Reef for example is very similar to Aspen (which ironically usually gets compared to the original Cool Water)
Sorry for the rant there, anyway, “Summer Seas” is a sharp Citrus fresh scent that that disappears far too quickly and has no real sense of drydown. In “Cool Water” I can detect when the tobacco notes appear and when the marine notes give way to Lavender etc.
It’s not a bad scent per say, It’s actually a decent wear for a casual warm day and safe enough to wear to the office, just be aware it will burn off inside a couple hours.
Not essential, I always have a bottle of Cool Water for the Summer but so far none of the flankers from the last three years will be getting a repeat purchase.

Same ol thing, like JP Ck and D&G they
pour out a new summer edition each year,
and every year i dislike them as usual, you
have one you have em all, not interested.

I dont see the point in buying this when you can buy the original.

I simply cannot tell the difference between the versions of Cool Water, especially at dry down. Hot on the heels of the Coral Reef edition, I swear they are identical. Upon closer whiff, the Summer Seas is fresher than the others. Longevity is mediocre and but I love the way the freshness stays close to the skin with the base note peeking from in between. I have avoided Cool Water for the longest time but if I were to choose one, this would be it.

I’m a fan of the original and bought night dive when it was on special. Regretted that purchase. Tried this one yesterday for a laugh. Walked out the shop and errrrr did I spray? Sure I did, didn’t i? GONE. Then I really laughed because it was £35

Got my bottle today. Actually, I really like this one. I have original CW as well (almost finished) and the best part of “Summer Seas” is that it is 80% identical to original. Differences are: top notes. Upon initial spray you get a blast of mandarin and mint, super fresh. At this state, it smells nothing like original. When it settles down, that’s where original kicks in. For the most part this fragrance is like regular CW, but more soft and citrusy, its just much fresher. I will update this review later, so I can speak on longevity and projection. This far, it seems to be average. Overall, “Summer Seas” is pretty nice fragrance for summer, and very versatile. Thanks for reading!

Apparently, Limited Editions means “Bottles with new decorations” for Davidoff.
The same juice (sometimes with so little alterations, that passes for the same fragrance) over and over again, but with tiny alterations in the bottle (a boat, corals, a change of color graduation, etc). Obviously is for the Cool Water lovers, who wants a change in the wardrobe, but not a change in the scent.
