Church incense, woods and oriental spice, very dark and mystical feel. Another fantastic Solstice oil. The throw is great for an oil perfume and lasts forever. Love this one!

The presentation is great: clear indication on origin of alcohol base (sugar beets) and flashcard of recommendations, such as, letting perfume “settle” after shipment before use. The main fragrance notes to my nose are balsam, incense, and rose, unisex but to me leaning towards the feminine. I have an almost full bottle that I would part with as I have something similar (All Good Things) in my collection.

Burning resins – frankincense copal – astringent in comparison with the creamy amber gold. Rose petals dessicated from the smoke. Earthy vetiver invoking timeless memories. The perfume of a dark incantation as promised.
I love scented magic. It takes us to places we could not visit otherwise. Angela St. John of Solstice Scents has created a place within her company, the town of Foxcroft, where magic is real and witches roam. Her fragrances are fanciful, filled with fantastic essences combined to transport and enchant. Conjure Dark does just that. Hand blended artisanal imagination!

I really cannot emphasize enough how impressed I am with Solstice Scents oils! I hadn’t realized it for quite some time, but it turns out I have a very specific desire regarding niche perfumery, and that is for darker scents, goth-y to some degree, that are, most importantly, extremely atmospheric and transportive. Solstice Scents hits the nail on the head, particularly with Conjure Dark. This is a gorgeous smoky, spicy scent, just sweet enough, very satisfying for an incense craving.

This is almost identical to Alkemia Perfumes Amour Conjure. I was hoping for something a bit darker and moodier, but instead found a straight dupe! Both are lovely, but have a touch more than I care for of sweet/ cherry blossom/ frangipani lurking from opening though about 4 hours…
