First impressions – vintage smelling peachy rose! I have to say that in comparison to other M. Micallef fragrances this one stays on for a long time and has lot’s of projection.
EDIT: I’ve tested this several times and I have to say that it’s really growing on me. This perfume really changes with your mood and the weather outside, from my experience so far it prefers cooler temperature, then you will truly see its beauty. It’s very complex. And I can finally distinguish all the notes. I now I smell the rose, the peach and the musk mixed together in a vintage/modern kind of way.
This is a special gem for someone who loved vintage/modern style fragranced. I decided to swap mine because I wont be getting much wear out of it and would really like if it goes to someone who would. So if you’re interested check up my profile for my swap topic.

OMG! Luxury, sensuality, musk, rose, powder, classy, gorgeous!! I lost my words smelling this beauty! It’s so good it’s probably worth any price they’ll put on it! This might just be the smell of heaven! M-U-S-T have.

Rouge no. 1 starts with fruity fizzy aldehydic notes, mostly peach. I don’t get any distinct tangerine notes. Then the white musk starts to get stronger, it is quite briny. The rose also starts to bloom at this point and become stronger and stronger. The scent is sweet and has a soft kind of feel to it. There’s still aldehydes doing their fizzy business. On the side, jasmine and ylang have now woken up together with vanilla notes, making the scent quite sweet. There’s still a hint of peach on top. The resins in the base are not too harsh, very subtly done.
Sillage is soft to moderate, longevity moderate.
Quite subtle for a rose scent, rose tends to be very strong and sometimes sour on my skin. Here, no sour rose, but it does get a bit out there. I like the soft feel of the scent, almost gentle. The ylang and jasmine on the side make it a mix to dream away on. The aldehydes are too strong for me (tend to make me sneeze). The musk is the kind of musk I like– briny and sexy. I like the drydown even better– more musk and less aldehydes. This one goes on the wish list.

a sweet peachy rose…almost has the same vibe as rouge 2 but not as spicy but similar family for sure

Fizzy peachy aldehyde, surprisingly non-sweet. Odd, intriguing, not beautiful.

Less fruit, more musky powder. That’s what I love about rouge no1. It’s heavenly.. It’s right up my scent alley. Longevity is excellent. I have sillage after 9 hours of wear. And this morning, I distinctly noticed an (attractive) man sniffing me (non creepy manner) on the metro due to crowded train and proximity, etc. Winning!

Martine did it again! These collection are very unique. The Rouge No1 is a very clean, fresh powderly scent with an amazing rose and ylang-ylang combination. Not so sweet, to me a little bit citrus with powderly flowers.
