Description

“A beautiful dress-up fragrance, a final gesture in the ritual of preparing to go out for a special evening. Just spray a cloud of Cocktail into the air and walk into it. Astrid, our muse, who inspired Cocktail says, “You pick up the scent of just-picked flowers – ylang absolute and cananga petals, both from heavily scented white
flowers, paired with Mediterranean jasmine, rose absolute and orange flowers. Add oakmoss and sandalwood for a scent thats classic, elegant and gorgeous.”

I am very happy with that (what perfumer wouldnt be?), and would only want to add that Cocktail really comes alive on the skin, finding spicy warmth that all gets rather intoxicating,” Mark Constantine

Love this scent- it smells like a zingy, sophisticated, alcoholic mint. I don’t really get much in the way of floral notes. Instead, I get much more wintergreen. This description doesn’t really do the scent justice, as it’s complex, sophisticated, and unusual. I think it tends to be a love or hate scent.

One word: Licorice. Black licorice. Weird black licorice… and not in a good way. That’s all this smells of to me.
No wonder Lush closed down its B Never range. Far too simplistic to grab too much attention. With the beautiful bottles these come in, ‘Mutton dressed as lamb’ comes to mind.

Cocktail was an instant love for me. It’s definitely a ‘spritz and walk through’ fragrance as it is incredibly fizzy and even a little peppery to begin with. However, once it’s had a little time to settle, it smells like a vintage boudoir. The Bergamot helps to balance out and liven up the Lavender notes, which allows Cocktail to be a cheerful, punchy retro frangrance (as opposed to one which reminds one of department store bath salts and the elderly) This fragrance always gets me noticed and infuriates passers by when they can’t immediately put a brand name to the flutter by of my aroma. Definitely one of my favourite Be Never fragrances.

Strong, sweet, synthetic, powdery, oldfashioned scent.
Too much for my taste. It sweetens with time.
It smells like ancient lady headquarters, grandmas closet and overall it is a senior citizen’s perfume.
I swear I smelled this at Bingo before, silver heads night out.

this has an overall sort-of generic “Lush” smell to it. and while it doesn’t really work as a perfume on me, i do like the smell…even though i can’t really describe it. it does, however, smell amazing on my husband.

There are a few BNever scents that are all the same and smell really similar, and only a few that stand out!
This one unfortunately for me is in the samey group, it’s like they all have the same blend as a base, with a few other notes on top.
Cocktail smells slightly medicinal and slightly floral with that ever so familiar base which to me is lovely but very dominated by jasmine, dirty thick jasmine! 🙂
The drier stages smell a little bit like germoline like Truffles mentioned. That’s the medicinal part.
This is definately not a fave of mine. Keep it Fluffy and 1000 kisses deep are much much better!

First of all, isn’t the bottle just DIVINE? Truly beautiful, and the pump that comes with it gives it a real vintage feel.
As with all ‘B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful’ perfumes, it comes in a delightful gold box, filled with confetti, gold paper and a unique fragrance story which adds to the richness of the whole experience.
Envisage a classical ball, filled with rich socialites and aristocrats, preened and beatiful women waltzing endlessly in silk gowns, groups of people drinking dry martinis and making small talk – Cocktail is a fabulous, dress-up fragrance that’s a tribute to these occasions.
Cocktail has a huge floral heart. Ylang absolute and calanga petals both from headily scented white flowers pair with Mediterranean jasmine, rose absolute and orange flowers. Add oak moss and sandalwood for a scent that’s elegant and gorgeous.
It is a rather heavy scent and definately not for everyday wear. Cocktail is a grown up perfume, as it warms on the skin it becomes spicy, exotic and tempting.
Yes, it may seem a little pricey at £50.90 (the most expensive of all ‘B Never Too Busy To Be Beautful’s perfumes), but I think it’s absolutely worth it.

An aggressive opener of Germolene and B Never too Busy fave – jasmine. Settles to just Germolene, and the Germolene never gets any weaker. Just awful.

This is my all time favourite perfume. I bought it looking for a more saturated, and sensual perfume (compared to my normal light floral collection) and it’s exactly what I asked for. Very warm and I find it almost spicy but is quite mature (my friends call it my old lady perfume). Lovely for winter (warms you up with one whiff) and evenings, with a fab sillage, a couple of sprays lasts the whole day.
I’m in love with this perfume, so glad to have found it!

Notes mentioned in the B Blurb – Ylang absolute , calanga petals, Mediterranean jasmine, rose absolute, orange flowers, oak moss, sandalwood.
Heavy on the ylang there is a definite spike lavender tang in there somewhere, jasmine, this fragrance has a mysterious understated quality to it, kinda like a fighter jet, by the time you are caught in the sillage, the wearer is long gone. Something just a little bit antiseptic, though Not in a bad way though, reminds me a lot of germolene ointment, an I kinda like that. Between the ylang and sexy oak moss it shimmies in a tight dress whispering “come up and see me sometime” on the skin. The sillage is excellent, longevity excellent. It is a grown up girl’s perfume to be sure. For my sixpence worth, the best way to wear it is to apply this then run through a cloud of Escentual Molecule 01. That stuff does incredible things to cocktail. Purists will scream. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.

Cocktail opens with the very synthetic notes on my skin – as if I was standing in a bathroom, recently cleaned with strong chemicals, where someone just sprayed a sweet flowery fragrance. Cannot get rid of this bathroom picture. This fragrance is not for me for sure…

Your darling surprise you with a romantic dinner at an intimate restaurant with lighted candles, soft jazz music in the background. The food is amazing and the service you get is discrete but filled with attention.
I sincerly hope that you decided to wear Cocktail before that dinner, even tough it was a surprise, Cocktail would be so well suited for that kind of occation. It is a saturated perfume bursting with sensuality, promises and gorgeus romantic florals… A fragrances for a women off to celebrate the 10´th, 20´th or even 30´th wedding aniversery with her loving husband.
Your husband may response; Oh, darling I´ve known you for such a long time now, but I´m not sure if you ever smelled as good as you do tonight ever before.
Not only Cocktail comes alive on your skin, you feel very alive yourself when you wear it. Mature, sensual, adorable flowers, softness and some glowy heat.
    A must try!
