This one is a walk down on memory lane for me – my mum`s cousin presented me with this when I was 14. I don`t quite remember the exact notes- this is nearly 25 years ago now – but I did like it, it was flowery-woody, a bit too grown-up for my age at that point but not too long-lasting therefore didn`t feel out of place. The bottle was gone in a month but the bracelet was a bonus, I still have it somewhere although I never wore it..I`m going to get myself a bottle soon just to remember this one.

A reviewer once said that Cobra Amarillo is similar to the original Cobra, but with all the ingredients organized in reverse. I can see why anyone would say that who has tried both.
The original Cobra on me, is a heavy solo tuberose supported by musk, with all the other notes extremely muted.
Cobra Amarillo brightly celebrates each and every note in a whirlwind, ever changing dance on my skin. In Amarillo, tuberose has a short solo part, then blends back into the chorus.
Cobra Amarillo opens with a very strong mix of sweet fruits, tangerine, orange, peach and red berries blended with soft spices. Then a gentle sweet blended bouquet of ylang, orange blossom, airy tagetes, a tiny touch of jasmine and a soft tuberose emerges. This phase lasts about 30 minutes, then the base notes appear. Sandalwood and cedar are noticeable, mellowed by a touch of vanilla wrapped in a soft musk cloud.
The fruits at the beginning are persistently strong for about 4 hours. Then the fruits soften, move to the background as the floral bouquet becomes stronger, led by an almost overpowering tuberose. This solo tuberose performs loudly for about an hour before retreating quietly back into the bouquet. Throughout wearing, Cobra Amarillo changes, alternating between soft fruits with spices, and the beautiful bouquet of flowers. The base notes appear and disappear off and on. After 6 hours, all notes blend softly together and projection moves from strong to moderate.
Cobra Amarillo lasts easily 10 hours on my skin. Beautiful, strong, long lasting and interesting, constantly changing and moving, Cobra Amarillo is one of those rare perfumes I feel privileged to own.
Note : About the snake bracelet , the one that came with my bottle has emerald green eyes. Both Cobra and Cobra Amarillo bottles come with the snake bracelet. I have seen this bracelet with red eyes, green eyes and blue eyes. You never know what color snake eyes you’ll get with either perfume until you open the box.

This sounds really beautiful — floral, spicy, and citrus? Plus it has that cute snake with the blue eyes! Wish I could find one to just try it, or even put it on display with my collection. Too bad it’s so rare!
