Exclusively for Russian market, Lancome is launching a new edition of the classic floral – aldehyde fragrance Climat from 1967. Climat L’Edition Mythique is released in October 2015 as a limited edition of 3000 bottles. This marks the 40th anniversary of the presence of Lancome house in Russian market.
This modern version of the classic fragrance opens with notes of aldehydes, violet, bergamot, green notes and peach. Its floral heart includes a bouquet of lily of the valley, tuberose, narcissus, May rose, iris, ylang-ylang and jasmine. Sandalwood, moss, vetiver, amber and musk are in the powdery base.
It is available as perfume extract in bottles of 75 ml.

It was the time back in USSR when there were only a handful of “real french perfumes” on the market. Magie noire was one of them. For older Russian women it is a symbol of luxury. They loved it because they did not have much choice. Yes, it is crazy popular in Russia. Tons of fakes were sold in the past decades. People have nostalgia. I am glad they relaunched it. Many people will be happy to have it even if it does not smell the same anymore. I bought vintage edt on ebay. I love it but I do not crave it badly and won’t spent hundreds on full size vintage. I am too young, for me it is just another great frag, not the legend. Sold my mini.

Tried it today…Well, it’s different,not the one I’ve met 30 years ago. There’s no fresh sparkle in the opening,though drydown is quite similar to the original version.The bottle of 75 ml of pure perfume is enormous,but I wouldn’t mind to get 1/2 fl.oz in memoriam

What an amazing fragrance…still remember the original, hope Lancome didn t ruined this beautiful wind of scents! Can’t wait to sniff it and also hope the price will not be a disappointment.
