Cleopatra is my favorite of the Tocca line.
What I love about it is the musk, it is the most pleasant, no, most sensual musk I have encountered. Generally my chemistry does work well ( at all) with this note, but this is heavenly.
All the other notes are perfectly suited in their supporting roles.
I will look for Cleopatra to add to my collection again as I gave it to a friend who loved it so much she deserved it.

Virtue of this perfume is its old school charme. It is floral in real sense of the word, not chemical. If it is lily-of-the-valley then it smells of flower itself, and it is presumably made of the flower itself. Cleopatra, although has a little bit pretentious name, is actually humble and gracious little darling of oily consistency. In its small, nicely ornated bottle you’ll find very pleasant, wearable floral composition which will make you feel attractive and comfortable. Not for big events, like parties and weddings, but for small occasions, like afternoon tea, Saturday cake, chat with friends and family.

I’m not actually picking up the patchouli in this very well (which is probably fine because I’m not a patchouli fan). I mostly smell powder with green and white floral undertones. I assume this is largely due to the tuberose? It gets more pleasant as it wears off, but I’m just not a fan of of this combination of accords because it reminds me of scents from the 80s and 90s. Cleopatra is the first of the Tocca scents that I found outright unpleasant. Thankfully, I’ve found someone to swap it with.

I am not one who can pick up on notes very easily, especially a fragrance like this where there are a lot of different ones. All I know is that I am very sensitive to perfumes and prone to migraines. I first smelled this fragrance on a friend and I was HOOKED. It is gorgeous, sexy, strong, but did not cause migraines at all. I bought a bottle and LOVE IT. I get compliments constantly on it, by women AND men. I had a man stop me in a pub recently to ask what perfume I was wearing so he could buy it for his girlfriend! I think it’s very seductive and beautiful, exactly how I would picture Cleoptra to smell.

This is one of the only fragrances that I’ve tried that actually made me feel sick to my stomach. I’m not sure why, because every note (minus patchouli- I’m just not a fan) is fine with me individually, and white florals are my favorites. But the patchouli in this isn’t the issue for me. To me, the white florals are completely overpowered by an almost nauseatingly sweet artificial fruit smell. The combination of all of these notes just do not work on me. I wanted to use up my 3ml sample and it was such a rough time doing so. Every spray made me feel even more ill! I’m huge fan of the other scents from Tocca, so I’m sad to say that Cleopatra is a HUGE PASS for me.

Cleopatra is an understated, clean, sweet and feminine scent. The patchouli is there but it doesn’t come through too strongly for me. Mostly what I get is muskiness and sweetness with a little hint of fruit and patchouli. It’s definitely a multitasker, I feel like I could wear this almost everywhere and it would be appropriate. Sillage is just enough that I can smell it on myself without bothering strangers. It’s like an expensive t-shirt, totally casual but also beautiful and comfortable.

I got a sample with a Sephora order and today I’m wearing it for the first time… and probably the last.
First of all, the scent itself cannot be described as anything better than “pleasant”. It’s so average – common – pedestrian… It’s absolutely nothing like you’d imagine Cleopatra smelling like or anything you’d describe as “Cleopatra-esque”.
The final nail in the sarcophagus for Cleopatra is the very poor longevity. A couple of hours after putting it on (and I was pretty liberal with it!), it’s completely gone. Even with my nose directly on my forearm, I can only just barely detect the slightest hint of musky vanilla… and even then I’m not 100% sure that I’m not imagining it because I know it should be there.
I was never particularly interested in anything Tocca before (I only ordered the sample because it was free) and this has just cemented my opinion about them.

After sampling all the girls, this is the only Tocca fragrance that stands out to me, the rest are generic copies of each other, like sisters that all look mostly alike, so much so I can’t even give them a proper review, save ‘smells like Tocca’
If that were so, and all the other girls her sisters, Cleopatra may have caused their parents to get divorced, or at least order blood tests on the sly: she’s a dark-eyed brunette in a sea of blue-eyed blondes.
Whereas the other girls are varying degrees of sweet white flowers paired with tart fruit like oranges or apples or pears, the prominent green patchouli and musk really stand out here.
The other girls are to me, forgettable. This one, though, she lingers on my mind.

The weather makes a very big difference for me with this perfume.
I love it in the hot and humid days of summer: sweet ripe peaches, relatively soft powdery patchouli, and clean musk. Balmy, sulty, but still vibrant.
But in our freezing, dry winters: strong patchouli, amber, and musk with zero fruity brightnes. Personally I find it heavy and overwhelming. Still more pleasant for me than many other patchouli-musk bombs, but nothing I’d reach for.

CLeopatra is very strong. I like it. The patchouli is very center stage. I layered it with a couple other things and it is sexy. I have the roll on. I won’t mind getting the full size.

Interesting fragrance. I can’t really describe the main note I smell, maybe it is the combination of the musk and the patchouli. Sometime it seems that it would be a little oud also, however it isn’t among the notes. I can smell the grapefruit quite intensively. It is a nice perfume, but to me a little old type. But still nice.

This has some of my favorite notes-jasmin, tuberose, patchouli, vanilla, musk so of course, I like this fragrance. I don’t entirely agree with people who say that its a dead ringer for Lovely or NR-those two are much stronger and spicier in general and in top notes in particular. Cleopatra has fruity top notes which the others don’t(and while I am open to fruity notes, I wish that in this fragrance they weren’t here), then you get the warmth and spice of jasmine and hint of white floral with tuberose. I know it supposed to have patchouli here but its so diluted that its hardly to be smelled. The mid notes are my favorite actually and that’s when it has the strongest resemblance to NR or Lovely. Its really not a strong scent but rather gentle and delicate. I am not sure why its called “Cleopatra” because there is nothing too sexy or smoldering about it, its very youthful and girly more than anything.
I would say that its appropriate for all ages and occasion and you could wear it to the office easy as it doesn’t seem to have THAT much projection.
lasting power seem to be average as I got couple of hours out of it, lying closely to the skin.
I really do like it a lot but not sure if I would want to spend 80+ dollars on the bottle.
Currently, I prefer Zara’s Bright Rose to this as it has some similarities but its missing the fruit note on the top which I could do without.
UPDATE: i been wearing a sample of this for last two days and it made me decide against it-its too light and fleeing for my taste

This perfume is like subtle olfactory exhibitionism. If this is Cleopatra (which is highly debatable) then she is nearly nude, merely draped in a bit of gauzy linen, every supple curve defined, the warm scent of her body emanating through casually gathered folds of finely woven cloth.
It’s musky, hot, and damp. That is the final effect, after the tart and juicy top notes fade into buttery tuberose and sticky peach nectar.
This is one of the few perfumes that I love from start to finish. There isn’t a single moment where this doesn’t smell incredible, but I hesitate to wear it because it’s just so overtly sexual.

I am starting to lose track of the different versions of Cleopatra. I first acquired a solid version of this 8 years ago which got compliments every time I wore it. (label on container reads: “Notes of grapefruit, cassis bud, white jasmine, patchouli, golden amber, & vanilla musk”. It was wonderfully musky and had enough grapefruit to add a sharp note to the florals.
A few years ago I bought a mini EDP… overwhelming candy-floral sweetness, headache inducing, none of the warmth. (EDIT: After not having smelled this one for 2 years, I now realize that it has mellowed a bit.)
Now, on Tocca’s website, Cleopatra is described as “juicy grapefruit and soothing cucumber.” I have not tried this formulation yet…has anyone? This sounds like a completely different fragrance to me.

I straight up don’t like this scent. I think it’s because natural/realistic scents are my favorite type. Ones that smell like fresh green vegetation or plants or leaves or flowers, so from the description I thought I would like this.
Unfortunately this smells like harsh fake green chemicals mixed with a low quality patchouli note. Then it settles into Lovely, like many others say, but it still retains the fake gross green chemically patchouli mixture. Complete scrubber for me.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

Thought this might work better for me than it did. In saying that, its still quite beautiful and excellent quality for the price.
A little citrusy, very leafy, incredibly musky. A good, solid, long lasting synthetic musk.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

Cleopatra could be a Narciso Rodriguez flanker. It has a very similar musk and patchouli accord to the NR fragrances. It’s warm and balmy.
At first I liked this a lot cause the fruity notes blend so well with the musk and patchouli. They’re all really noticeable, I get lots of sweet peach and black currant and a hint of grapefruit.
The jasmine is not as strong to my nose, but it’s there after some time.
Unfortunately, I don’t like the drydown. When the fruits are gone, the musk gets a bit soapy and the patchouli a bit harsh. The fragrance starts to annoy me.
That’s just me though, I’m very picky with musks. The only musk dominant fragrance I really like on myself is Narciso EDP in the white cube bottle.
Cleopatra is definitely the strongest of the 8 Tocca fragrances I tried. It projects very well and can even survive a shower. If you think this is light or weak, you might be anosmic to some musk notes, many people are. I would recommend to spray lightly.

  18. :

On me this is Lovely by SJP with more patchouli and a much heftier price tag. A lovely, woody musky oriental.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

This is patchouli and musk on me – absolutely nothing else. It smells somewhat dirty, almost carnal, a body odor of sorts. I am trying the Tocca girls and have given this a few chances, but it just doesn’t work on me at all.
Edit: a few hours after application over a lovely body cream called Au Lait from the Scottish Soap company, and it has settled down into something a bit creamy and very likable.

  20. :

The first notes are my enemies. Cold queen of Egypt, who does not allow everyone in her boudoir. Then, in the process of getting to know her, she is opening her girly heart to the owner. Adorable, flirty, full of dark passion Egyptian goddess opens her intimacy with cassis, creamy tuberose and musk, plenty of musk. Only for her lover, mighty Marc Anthony! Such an oriental, piquant passion with a rare green palm trees in the kingdom of rocks and sand. And fresh breathe from the Nile (cassis brings this note to the perfume). The bittersweet aftertaste is vanilla. The night is over, the warrior is gone to Roma. And the queen is waiting for another night.
OK, enough. This perfume reminds me of Narciso Rodrigues very much. The first scent, big black bottle with pink cursive. Its beautiful, its feminine, its seductive. But very very similar to NR.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

This is a beautiful scent, the only flaw is that this has no power at all. I love the white florals with a tad of black currant layered over a musky parchouli base. This is kind of reminding me of something else I’ve worn recently (David Yurman) I realize many think that a scent called cleopatra should be more spicy or oriental but to me, this smells like an updated version of the old classic Egyptian Musk oil. Love the scent, hate the poor performance.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

This perfume is pretty, but I think the sillage is much too soft. This was the Tocca perfume I originally wanted to try, but Colette has stolen my heart.
Still, Cleopatra is a very fruity, juicy fragrance that is unoffensive. Very summery scent, and I can definitely pick out the notes of peach and patchouli.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

This fragrance is as mentioned in many perceptive reviews the young Cleopatra growing and evolving. So soft and feminine in the top and middle notes. The base though, instead of mellowing into a milky brooding note becomes chypre like and a bit sharp. The experienced power woman eventually rules the day, but, yet, without forgetting the innocence and delight passions of her youth, though now a minor note and memory. This is a scent with a story.

  24. :

Dead ringer for SJP Lovely. It’s STRONG patch and musk, so if you like those notes you should try Cleopatra. Considering Lovely is available for, like, $20 or less on eBay, though, I don’t see the point of buying Cleopatra.
Personally, it’s really not my thing. I must have mixed up the tester strips in my hand in Sephora when I asked for a sample of this. I loathe strong patchouli, and had I taken the time to look up the notes I would never have bothered with a sample. The patch is really strong here, to the point of drowning out all other notes. I don’t smell grapefruit, white flowers, peach, or vanilla at all. It’s just a blast of sharp, sneezy patchouli on a bed of white musk. If the patch were softer, I could see the comparisons to Narciso Rodriguez. NR isn’t my favorite, either, because of the patchouli, but I do think it’s a much smoother and prettier blend than Cleopatra or Lovely.

On me this is overwhelmingly patchouli with vanilla.
I never wear patchouli because it does not go with my body chemistry so this is a no go for me. I do see why some people find this fragrance hypnotic and tantalizing. It’s very soft and sweet with an air of mystery to it.

I have been wearing this a lot more these days. This perfume is amazing its hypnotizing. . It has great sillage and it will get you noticed. The problem now is the reformulation or that one of them went bad. I have a full bottle and a travel size. The travel size one smells so much better fruitier the full size bottle the top notes are gone. I can hardly smell anything. It’s like two different perfumes. I’m loving the travel sized one better. Going to go and sample a new bottle because the full sized one went bad or it was a different formula. Anybody experience this problem.

    This is so sexy!
I was after a calmer version of narciso and minus the osmanthus.
This is perfect and the patchouli in this reminds me a bit of gucci rush.
I love tuberose too which is another plus.

With a name like Cleopatra I was bracing myself for a heavy Oriental with incense, redolent woods, sandalwood, myrrh olibanum, oud and musk. After all she was the most beautiful woman of all time, and her exotic allure put Caesar and Marc Antony on their knees. But no. This is a sweet young Cleopatra without a care in the world. She has very little to do except look pretty. She is Cleopatra in school learning her Latin and Greek.
She smells of sweet fruits that would have been more attractive to the Romans: grapefruit, black currant or cassis/grapes, or wine notes. The first spritz is fruity and delicious, a summer scent of fruit bowls and cornucopias. But for some reason it is not too heavy, not too fruity but it is sweet. Easy to wear in the summer and spring time. The fruity fragrance lingers for a long time even when it begins to change there is a peach scent in the background.
The floral notes are simple but perfumy as an old time floral with tuberose and jasmine. The jasmine is the dominant floral scent here and it makes perfect sense because I associate Egyptian jasmine with Cleopatra. This is a sexy jasmine but she is still on the sweet youthful side and not mature as in a mature white floral scent. It’s a pretty jasmine.
Finally the whole thing starts to descent into a deeper base of amber, musk and patchouli, which would have been Oriental had it not been for the fact that this scent is more soapy and delicate and not throwing out too much of the aroma of those resinous ambers and those aromatic herbal patchouli leaves. This is the weakest base notes ever. I wanted to smell that amber and it’s just soap. I like the way it opens and the heart notes more than the dry down. It’s not bad but it’s a bit bland. The musk would be the bigger base note. Smells of a simple warm musk.
This is a good intro to fruity florals.

I disliked it when i tested it several years ago. It seemed too similar to SJP Lovely, which I dislike. I still do find them similar today, but Cleopatra is fruitier, sweeter and warmer, and it doesn’t have this sweat note that I smell in SJP Lovely. It is also a bit “warmer” than Lovely. I don’t find Cleopatra similar to NR line. NR is basically musk to me with little flowers, while Cleopatra is fruity flowery musk.
I don’t think the name is appropriate though, I imagine Cleopatra was wearing something darker, more edgy, more complicated and sexier than that.
I am happy to retest it today, I do like it. I am a lover of floral woody musks, and this goes to my want list. It is classified as oriental floral, but to me it is very light, I think of it as fruity floral musk. I smell sweet musky fruits in the opening and then it dries down to musky florals. I prefer my scents a bit warmer, but it may be nice option for summer days.
I will not buy the bottle immediately, because I seem to have some childhood memories related to this scent so I will test several times to see how comfortable I am wearing it and whether it is really “me”.
I think longevity is good, I applied it few hours ago and showered after that but I can still smell it.

Pretty bottle, pretty scent, but not very pretty on me. Cleopatra opens boldly with grapefruit, followed by musk, and a thread of green patchouli that weaves it’s way throughout the scent, from top-notes to dry-down. It’s a linear scent. The musk here is soft and sweet; never too strong (that “washing-powder” type) or overwhelmingly animalic, which makes this the perfect musk (in my opinion). This scent is sometimes only grapefruit and patchouli on me, as I can be, at times, anosmic to the musk. I find it sensual, but with the patchouli that smothers all of the other pretty notes in this scent, I can’t really smell much else other than grapefruit, musk and patchouli.
I agree that this is definitely very close to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely and Narsico Rodriguez for Her. I would love a scent similar to these three, WITHOUT THE PATCHOULI. When I tested this in stores I was told that it is one of Tocca’s most popular scents, so I’m evidently in the minority, but I would prefer this with a woody base. Soft to moderate sillage; longevity is for about 4-5 hours.
By the way, this is not what I imagine Egyptians or Cleopatra to smell like at all. I imagine something richer, stronger, with a lot of amber, balsams and spices for Cleopatra, and with perhaps some sort of exotic flower that grows by the river Nile, or a note of milk, as it was said that she bathed in donkey’s milk to keep her skin soft and beautiful.

A good friend bought me the travel sized candle of this fragrance the weekend that my father died, 12 years ago. It is so light and lovely and fresh and burning it brought me some happiness. I have a bottle of it now and though I can’t spray it often due to the nostalgic association, it is still filled with just as much hope as it was then.
It truly smells like Cleopatra’s boat on the Nile. Oriental without being heavy. It’s a citrus bomb with a ball of musk and jasmine. Perfect for languorous summer afternoons in the sun. It’s green and yellow and gold!

Whether or not the Queen of the Nile would have worn this kind of perfume, CLEOPATRA is a very pretty and very green fragrance. On me, there is something of an herbal quality to it and I don’t pick up much of the floral notes. I don’t find it particularly strong and the longevity is decent (about 6 or 7 hours). This is especially nice in warmer weather. In some ways, it has similarities to Tocca FLORENCE, which I also have, although CLEOPATRA is less intense and more versatile. I don’t see the similarity to SJP LOVELY, as that is a much more floral fragrance, however, everyone perceives scents differently and we all have our own skin chemistry.
As my fragrance collection “lives” in a walk-in closet, I’m not concerned about the appearance of the bottles, although I certainly appreciate it when they’re pretty. I like the vintage look of the Tocca bottles. The mini size Tocca fragrances (0.5 oz) come in splash bottles and the larger size bottles have a sprayer. I’d prefer it if the minis also were in spray bottles or rollerballs or at least had narrower necks. As it is, “splash” can too easily turn into “spill,” especially if you close the bottle too tightly and have to use some force to open it again next time.

I didn’t think I’d like this perfume because strong scents tend to counteract with my sensitive nose so I bought this in a deluxe sample size and honestly, it’s one of my favorite perfumes at the moment. I love how you get that oriental aroma in the beginning but once it dries down, the scent warms up into a sweet, almost woodsy fragrance. It’s so fresh and gorgeous that I personally like to wear this anytime of the year. I can definitely see why this is one Tocca’s more popular fragrances. While I’m not exactly sure if Cleopatra would’ve worn this, I still like to envision myself as a young, vibrant queen whenever I dab this on 🙂

An almost exact duplicate of the narciso rodriguez edt for her, i get a whole lots of musk and white floral, and that slight peach scent. Really lovely just more of an evening scent as it is deeper and a bit more intense.

I bought this yesterday and it reminded me of a fragrance I already have in my wardrobe. Beckham’s Signature Story. But Story is an edt whereas Cleopatra is an edp and it acts like one too. I feel that, like some here, this fragrance was inappropriately named. No Myrrh? No Frankincense? This says English garden to me. Not Egypt! But I don’t care it really is made perfectly and beautifully! I loved every aspect of it and it lingers a long time… Oh and don’t spray too much as this only needs one spray and you are good!

“And the Roman asked: was this well done of your lady? And the servant answered : “Extremely well.. As befitting the last of so many noble rulers” – Final Scene of 20th Century Fox’s Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor.
This is a beautiful Oriental fragrance. Although it is meant to describe Cleopatra Queen of the Nile, the most beautiful woman who ever lived, I see this as a youthful Cleopatra before she met the men who changed her life: Julius Caesar and Marc Antony. She is only a princess and not yet a queen, and life is opening up to her. She journeys down the Nile on her barge because she wants to discover every flora and fauna for herself. I love fragrances that are supposed to evoke Egypt but even Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil does a better job. This one is sweet and lovely but more of an introduction to Orientals. Every time I wear it I hear the Alex North music for the Elizabeth Taylor Cleopatra love theme main theme. A cornucopia of fruits opens the fragrance: cassis, grapes, black currant, and grapefruit. It smells like Roman wine, like a wine Cleopatra is having for the first time. An intoxicating liquor. The Egyptian jasmine is fragrant here, sweet and seductive and not indolic. It’s got a peach flavor. The tuberose is harmonizing with the jasmine. The whole time that black currant is still there to my nose. The base has green patchouli and golden amber. This is a well done floral fruity patchouli. It’s pretty hard to pull off because let’s face it which one of us can compare ourselves to Cleopatra who would have ruled the world had things gone her way? A seductive Oriental but not too strong, perfectly wearable and youthful.

Thank you to @verdigris who gifted a mini bottle of Tocca Cleopatra to me!
I agree with every review here that this fragrance ought not have been named for Queen Cleopatra. To me, this is more suited to Napoleon’s wife Josephine Bonaparte. But that is pure conjecture of course.
In the bottle, this scent reminded me of a vast university library: the intoxicating aroma of historic old book paper! I was excited to try it! On my skin, the scent started fresh, green and warm at first. But within 15 min, my body chemistry amplified the white florals beyond the threshold of tolerability! I am one of those humans with skin that accentuates the rotted meat smell of tuberose. Tocca Cleopatra grew by the minute to become an unyielding white floral monster assaulting my nose for two hours. I am frankly not able to wear tuberose, especially this strong.
Towards the 6 hour mark, the scent tamed into musky, amber patchouli with distinct sweetness, perhaps from the peaches. I really enjoyed the dry down.
This truly was a lovely scent but just not right for my body. The scent was enormous and long lasting (around 10 hours on me). The blend was flawless, showing great care with the ingredients. Tocca clearly respected the components, in my opinion. Each element smelled genuine and true to nature. I appreciate when a perfumer takes that amount of care when designing a fragrance- it makes me feel special as if that perfumer really cares about their customers.
Anyone who is fortunate enough to wear this should feel lucky. I enjoyed this scent but am sad that my body chemistry rejected it. I would love to try an Oriental or Green scent from Tocca in the future.

Tocca Cleopatra is a lovely fragrance, but the first time I sprayed it I thought that there is no way that Cleopatra smelled like this. My next thought was that it smells really nice.
I think this is a fragrance that would be worn as I walk around the Farmer’s Market, meet friends for a Bar-B-Que, or while I am studying. It is a comfortable, not in your face, feminine scent.
    ♥ Sillage: Soft
    ♥ Longivity: Moderate

I wrote my PhD about Cleopatra, so she seems like a good old friend to me. When I came across this perfume, I had to have it! Since it’s not available in my country, I had to order from Ebay without trying it first. Sadly, it was not a happy blindbuy. 🙁
Tocca Cleopatra is a very pungent scent, with a looot of bitter-sharp patchouli and sour-sharp citrus note. In my opinion it is a worse version of Narciso Rodriguez, but it lacks the feminine delicacy that the latter has.
It really doesn’t smell Cleopatra-like to me – where is the orient, where is the mystery?

  41. :

    4 out of 5

I’m always bewildered by perfumes with patchouli in them. I have a vial of high quality patchouli essential oil that I love and find exquisite, and perfumes never smell like it. Perhaps it’s the perfect blending that makes it indistinguishable. Cleopatra opens very sweet, and dries down to something a little odd, a little musky/black tea, which I assume is the patchouli. I wear it when I’m in the mood for sweet floral, but I agree, it lacks the freshness that I would’ve more easily associated with its name sake. Then again, aside from exotic flower eo’s it probably is close to impossible to achieve.
    And the search continues…

I tried almost every scent from TOCCA and this one is my favorite! Cleopatra is a simple musky-fruity floral scent, on my skin is clean and crisp. My ideal perfume for spring and fall. Exactly like SJP Lovely or a lighter version of Narciso Rodriguez.

This is my new signature scent.
Funny because I received a sample pack of Tocca rollerballs from my friend for my birthday. I was immediately intrigued with Stella and Florence. I would wear each of them on occasion however neither of them felt 100% ME.
Recently I have been looking for a new scent. Previously my signatures have been Gucci Rush and D&G The One. I could not find a new one that had me enamored.
Then I decided to give the Tocca’s another try because I LOVE the little stories behind them and the beautiful feminine names. I began my search online and starting diving deeper into the notes of the scents- figuring out what I like and what I don’t like.
Just from reading, I realized that Cleopatra might be the perfect scent for me so I went to the store and was so excited to try it.
At first spray I was utterly upset. It is extremely sharp. Too sharp. I almost ran out of the store to wash it off… but don’t be fooled by her sour, standoffish first impression. Cleopatra develops into this creamy, sweet, spicy scent that lingers on you like a sweet yet sexy kiss.
I don’t understand notes yet. I am getting there. So I cant tell you exactly what I am smelling. I do know that I am not getting musk as much as some others have written. I gave Margaux a go recently and that one is MUCH more musky in my opinion.
When I started wearing this out and about I began realizing that I would get this amazing whiff here and there of something fruity and vanilla. I kept thinking it was something else. Like my coffee creamer or a candle or something. Then I realized it was ME the whole time that was giving off this little halo of deliciousness.
    Give Cleo a go!!!

This is definitely a fragrance in the vein of Narciso Rodriguez, but much brighter. I think maybe I’m getting beeswaxy, honeyed grapefruit, and green notes sitting on top of that musky base. But it all sort of muddles itself into one thing that is quite linear- for me it clicked, this stuff smells like DANDELIONS! It smells just like picking the tops off of dandelions. We used to rub them on our cheeks and hands and stain everything yellow- well this about sums that up for me. Someone should send a memo to Demeter.

Ahhh this one is refreshing and sexy and a bit green and a bit musky and sweet all rolled into one! I don’t feel particularly Cleopatra-like when I wear it, but I think that is because it’s more green and less spicy than I imagine when I picture Cleopatra. But I digress!
This is my favorite of the Tocca Girls! She is sweet and musky and the patchouli and cassis keep her from being TOO MUCH. I can’t handle too much musk, and this one has just the right amount. I can see this being universally liked, yet it’s still so interesting. It reminds me faintly of a Bathed and Infused (etailer) scent I loved years ago, and for that alone I’d stay stocked up as they are no longer around.
This one is easy to try for very little money, I say go for it! 🙂

Ok this one is really beautiful. I did not make the connection to it’s resemblance of NR or Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker until I read here and I concur. They all do smell very much alike. I think the main difference though between the three is the stronger Patchouli note that Cleopatra has. I don’t get that with NR or Lovely. Since this has the patch I love it. If your not a fan of patchouli you might not care for this. If your a fan of the other two you may really enjoy it. I would without hesitation purchase a bottle of this and probably
