In the store I loved it and it reminded me of the sea and showering after returning from a day at the beach. salty and soapy, it isn’t vanilla, for me. I was disappointed that it only lasts an hour for personal sniffing; maybe others can smell it on me past that point, but I don’t know. I feel it should last longer for a so-called ‘quality’ perfume. I still like it though, and wear it often. I like the bottle best of all.

Oh, this one is beautiful!! I have one other of the Summer Classique scents, and I find them different enough to justify keeping both.
This one is a fresh burst of sweet lemon, mandarin, clementine, and rose–rounded out with sweet iris, musk, amber and vanilla. Reminiscent of the sweet citrusy vanilla-floral you’d find from a Shalimar, and that makes it a winner in my book. I can’t speak too much on longevity as I’d only had it on 2 hours before I dozed off—but it was a cozy happy scent and that worked for a pre-bedtime smell. I could see this working really well in the winter as well—the amber and vanilla would really shine and bring out those white flowers, I think.
Another blind-buy discount bargain (TJ’s) and well worth it.

Very similar to the original. Only a little less powdery. The orange blossom lends warmth to this classic flanker. Love the beachy bottle. A summer holiday must have. There’s no silage to speak of, but then, it’s too hot in summers for wearing very strong, suffocating fragrances. A summer beach holiday must have.

I got really excited after smelling this on the card because I LOVE citrus scents and was so pleased by that smack of lemon you get first up. Alas, upon spraying it onto my skin, the lemon and any hint of citrus disappeared completely. It ended up smelling exactly the same as the `93 Classique so I wont be buying, despite how gorgeous the bottle is.

Very similar to the original JPG apart from a more prominent sharper lemon note which consumes the whole scent. Basically this is a stronger citrus version. I can’t detect any vanilla in this nor amber. I take it this is not selling very well because Debenhams are practically giving it away for £32 for 100 ML bottle where I live. Yeah I wanted to love it, because i have a collection of JPGs and this bottle would of looked nice with my others, but yeah i’m not keen on the dominant lemon and lack of vanilla. So I will let this one go. I don’t want to spend money on something I feel neutral towards, my perfume collection is big enough.
Oh and i feel it is more suited for spring than actual summer. It’s a spring scent.

This is very similar to last year’s (and probably the year before that). I detect lily-of-the valley in this year’s and it’s quite pleasant. Longevity and sillage is not that strong but that makes it ideal for hot and humid summer days. Also, the art on the bottle is very playful.

First tried this today and actually liked it from first spray, which is rare for me. It reminds me a little of Cabotine, or how it smells from the bottle, more powdery on dry down. Can’t really justify purchasing at present especially as it only comes in 100ml bottles here, However the lasting power is 3-4 hours.
