This one really takes me back. Back to the 90` s where I had my first Jean Paul Classique. Super sexy and feminine. Silage and longevity is amazing!!!
The bottle itself is a masterpiece.
Flowers, powder, tonka and vanilla.
Jean Paul I adore you, you make memories fly in my mind and covers me in a scent thats really out there. You suit my personality.

I’m wearing this a lot lately, such a sexy , playful bottle design.
I’ve never been able to wear the original JPG I really cannot. I have scandal, Betty boop eau fraiche and jpg intense editions. Which are all particularly different and gets on well with my chemistry. So yep to be clear this is a new perfume it does not smell like the original.
The yellow floral notes and rose sweetness stand out in this perfume. It’s very romantic and universal. The mandarin and vanilla is blended well. I don’t notice rum, but it has a calm and mellow sweetness base, it’s comforting .
It’s medium wear on me too, it’s warm weather but wet end of summer days in London Town and it suits the mood for when you’re warm inside looking out on a rainy day.

I am confused about this one. Can anyone tell me if this is a new version of the original edp or the same? I have been wearing the original edp with the lace for the last 7 years and to me this one smells a little different and sweeter at the base note.
I do not hope that the one with the lace will be discontinued as it is my signature scent and I have to buy a lot of them now.

Can this be purchased in the US? I have never found it anywhere.

Pivoinie: I don’t mean to offend you in any way, but everywhere I can find just THIS version of The Classique, it specificly says: ”This is a NEW perfume”. And even here on Fragrantica.com (but I know it often shows the wrong notes, missing notes and so on) it says ”a NEW perfume”. And it also says so in the text, that this version has several new notes; ”Top notes are rose, rum and sicilian mandarin; middle notes are narcissus and orchid; base notes are vanilla, amber, tonka bean and sandalwood.”
I have been using this perfum for at least 10-15 years now (both edp & edt), but only in it’s original formula, and I have quite a really good sense of smell. I can’t remember that I ever have felt ANYTHING in the top, middle or basenotes that even have reminded me of rum, narcissus, orchid & sandalwood (noo, don’t think so…)
These notes do I pick up the most of: top notes; delicate rose scent is spiced by fresh anis. Middle notes combine sweetness of orange blossom and exciting ginger, a powerful aphrodisiac. Vanilla and sensual amber gently embrace in the base.
I do know a lot of the body’s chemistry, so I know I often never feel the scents of all the notes in a perfume, but Le Classique has other notes then the ones listed here and yet you PROMISE ME, it’s the original edp from JPG?
My body chemistry is strange, I can never blindbuy one single perfume. I was sure I would love Angel, but hated it. But met my new signature scent right beside Angel – Alien. And Alien Esscence de Absolue edp is ME.
First time it was Balenciaga’s Cristobal & I still miss Cristobal every day! If I could, it would be the only perfume I used for the rest of my life… 🙁
I think Dior’s ”Addict” edp (the orginal formula) was my second signature scent.
And then came Alien edp, the original, but soon my big, yellow love came into my life;-)
Patchouli & sandalwood always smells so strong on me, for hours, and take over the scent completly & I especially hate patchouli. So I can’t unnderstand why I don’t get the sandalwood from Le Classique?
Dior’s always used to work on me, I think they used the same ”base” in all their perfumes?
But now I can just buy a more expensive flanker of the original J’Adore edp now, to get the same scent. So Dior is gone for me ;-(
I LOVED Issey Miyake’s first perfume, it smelled wonderful! In the bottle, on paper, on everyone else that had it, but it didn’t even smelled like Issey Miyake ON ME 🙁
But the quite new ”Pure” smells just as good AND it suits my bodychemistry too!
And the first version, with green text on the glassbottle, ”A scent of Issey Miyake” was just wonderful on a hot summerday, it felt cool against the skin. Greenish, mintish and cooling, I loved it! 🙂
But the best replacement for ”L’eau d’Issey” is Thierry Muglers edp ”Womanity”, and now it’s gone from Sweden too 🙁
Is it cancelled? Like EVERYONE of my favouriteperfumes usually ends up…
Soon every perfum, the few they decided to sell in Sweden from Mugler, like ”Angel” and the mens’ perfumes, are the only ones. I HATE Angel, but LOVE Alien, but now they just sell the original perfume in 30/50 ml and edp/edt. No new flankers, deo, showercreme or bodylotion as it used to be and the Angel stuff are still available 🙁
Cancelled or so destroyed that Dior shouldn’t be allowed to call ”Addict” edp (the original blue bottle) for ”Addict” anylonger! They removed the most important note, the whole heart of what used to be the divine scent of my ”Addict”. 🙁
They have also destroyed J’Adore edp, the original, not to mention all the Poison perfumes, the new ”Poison GIRL” (says it all!) is a joke 🙁

This is the closest that I have come to from the original from the 90’s.
durexx – :
I was initially a bit confused whether this was a new perfume, so for all others who might be in doubt: this is JPG Classique edp in a different bottle. Love this perfume, the bottle looks great as well!
kuzzma84 – :
The most beautiful bottle yet! I love the fragrance and was undecided on which bottle design to purchase. When this comes out in Australia I think it may be the one!

Gorgeous I LOVE That Crimson Corset!
