My signature scent for the bulk of the 2000’s that I purchased on a whim after a haircut along with some other American Crew products. It’s comfortable, easy to wear and pleasing. I never really got the sandalwood, just the citrus and lavender. I’ll always have it in my collection.

There is nothing wrong with this scent at all. I have the 50ml in the alu spray bottle. It is spicy, slightly perfume , citrusy , musky,.. a bit like a modern barber shop old spice sort of fragrance in an old school way. i like the kind of grapefruit patchouli mix with hints of pine in the musky spice i get from it .. very pleasant actually i think.. a definite like for me.

Smells very very good… definitely appropriate as a guy’s hair salon kinda perfume.
Fresh, happy, somewhat soapy smell that is well blended.
My only reason for clicking “like” instead of “love” is that it has pretty bad longevity.

I found about 20% of a bottle laying around my parents house and decided to snatch it up. I really do enjoy this one a lot. Very nice smell, not in your face or cloy. I actually wore this on a first date once and received a compliment.

American Crew Classic Fragrance is a weird, old-fashioned herbal fragrance with prominent lavender, sage, and what smells like patchouli. Actually pretty good stuff. Reminds me of Safari for Men by Ralph Lauren, but less sweet. I think I’ll buy a bottle.

One of your drugstore cheapies that has a complimentary range of shampoos and bath toiletries. Honestly, I enjoy the rest of the product line, but couldn’t wear this – it smells a bit contrived. You have your generic chemical citrus, woods, powder, and musk. Might as well use it after a wet shave to compliment Pinaud Clubman aftershave, but otherwise I can’t see much use for it.
