rosine perfumes start with notes in harmony with rose varying with the subtype but finally all end up in rose, rose and rose, nothing but rose..this is a good thing for me as I am a big fan of rose, but some may find it boring and linear..claire matin is no exception about the dry down..opening is very clean and soft I don’t get a distinctive citrus, amalfi lemon is barely there and quickly evolves into chamomile, a little peony and hint of violets, this phase lasts a while before the scent ends up with rose..I tried many of the rosines and this one may be on my wish list..

I’ve now tried all the Rosines and I don’t particularly like this one. The chamomile comes over very strongly and I can’t get on with that mixture of green and acrid that it conveys, though I definitely understand how the whole composition conveys a garden in the morning, especially if someone has just cut the grass.

Slightly citrusy for a floral…fresh and clear. It feels like I am breathing in wet morning air from a freshly watered garden in full bloom. If I liked florals for myself, this one would be so easy to wear!

This one I think is supposed to be the Eau Fraiche of Roseberry. It’s halfway between Roseberry and Zeste de Rose, but I prefer both of these to it. It is sharper and more tangy than Roseberry, and though softer than Zeste de Rose, it somehow does not have its natural dewy freshness. In the end, it’s a cute, bubbly, rather soapy fruity rose that doesn’t manage to hold my attention.

Anyone tried it yet?
