It’s fine. The opening is particularly lovely. But it dries down to a clean, soapy smell. I don’t think it is worth a purchase. The lemon-ginger-cardamom opening is really enjoyable.

Had a sample of this a long time ago. I like figs, and many citrus scents go well on my skin, so I was eager to give this a try. The fig lasts for maybe twenty minutes, and then the smell gets almost soapy, before drying down to basically mosquito repellent. No word yet on whether “CLEAN Reserve Citron Fig” actually repels mosquitoes.

Maybe I’m just lucky, but I’ve had a much better experience with this fragrance so far than others here. At the top, I got not lemon or mandarin, but actual CITRON — it’s a separate citrus fruit with virtually no pulp, grown for its wonderfully fragrant zest. I also got the freshness of fig, which I only really recognize because two of my favorite perfumes (Balenciaga Rosabotanica and Hermes Un Jardin Mediterranee) are based on it.
I sprayed this on moisturized skin almost 6 hours ago and it is still going strong. The citron-fig notes faded away into musky sandalwood so gradually that I didn’t really notice it happening. Musk lasts forever on me so maybe that explains the longevity. I’m also picking up something spicy that I can’t quite place…it doesn’t smell like cardamom, but maybe it is? Or the copaiba, whatever that is?
I never picked up any mint. The manufacturer’s description also goes on and on about sweet juicy fig etc., but this scent is really not sweet. It’s green and sharp, and then soft and spicy.
I really like this. Here in Arizona it would make a great winter scent — the sharpness of the top notes is like a burst of crisp winter air and the softness of the basenotes is like a good sweater. It is very unisex. Masculine but in a very accessible way for a more feminine wearer…I might be considered whatever the grown-up equivalent of a “tomboy” is and it suits my level of femininity perfectly.
Update: I can still smell the musk, sandalwood, fig leaves, and maybe a hint of cardamom on me the morning after spraying this into the crook of my arm.

Citron Fig starts off with a mishmash accord of citrus that is sour. I detect mandarin, lemon and mint – in that order of presence. This is soon joined by a fig note, which thereafter takes centrestage. Very soon all that is left behind is a nondescript woody-musky accord, with brief hints of that unpleasant sour aspect.
Citron Fig comes across as a bog standard citrus-woody-musky concoction with sub par quality and at a strength somewhere between an eau de cologne and an eau de toilette (even though it is labelled as an eau de parfum).

Man, what is it with the Clean Reserve line that people are not reviewing them on here? They are available at Sephora, so it’s not like these are rare or hard to get.
Anyway, this is a very fresh and safe herbal citrus. The lemon and mint are the strongest notes that I smell on my skin, with the fig being very subtle to non-existent. The ginger and cardamom add a little bit of spice, warmth, and depth. But, most of the components in this fragrance are either in the background or come out much later. I anticipate the sandalwood and musk are what’s leftover. The cedar and copaiba balm do not enhance the picture, but rather make Citron Fig reminiscent of a salve or an “organic” skincare product. But maybe you like that sort of thing.
Ultimately, this reminds me of kitchen cleaner or minty lemonade. It is decidedly not sweet and soapier than anticipated. Great for spring and summer, and when you want something uncomplicated but natural. Clean has a knack for making these sort of scents, but I prefer Moschino’s I Love Love for my go-to citrus perfume.

My first impressions of Citron Fig: pretty good! Definitely fresh opening with juicy semi-sweet fig note.Longevity/projection pretty food 4-6 hours. Very natural smelling. I’ll need to wear this more to give additional feedback, but if you are looking for a clean, fresh scent to wear in the Spring/Summer…this is nice.

I was so excited when I read the notes. Started fresh, green and tart but sadly faded to nearly nothing after 20 min. Only a soapy, powdery detergent smell left on my coat sleeve.

An important note is missing from the note pyramid, fig. Here is a list of notes I found on Sephora.com:
“Fig, Ginger, Lemon Oil, Cardamom, Mandarin, Mint, Copaiba, Sandalwood, Cedar Wood, Musk.”
