If you can’t smell the leather, try the oil – it’s utterly divine!

yep. can’t get much leather out of this one. it’s mostly birch, resins and dry woods. funnily enough, it doesn’t smell bad. it’s well put together. there’s a nice balance struck between between the ‘bbq pit’ nature of the birch and the burning incense. the woodsy notes frame it nicely in the background. definitely worth a sniff…

The leather in this is barely apparent, and is very subtle…..only really showing up at the very bottom of the drydown. The bulk of the top/middle sections are a gentle walk through a coniferous forest, stopping to have a laugh and warm up a bit around a cozy campfire, with tendrils of smoke curling up into the sunset sky.
A good mild option for those ordinary not fond of leathers, and a unassuming and gentle fall transitional scent. Pleasant, not any huge reinventions of the wheel here.
Projection and longevity are both on the softer side, and I imagine this could easily be layered to play up specific accords depending on your personal preferences.

A very palatable and gentle leather in a sun-speckled patch of forest. Very pleasant and comforting. I don’t like most leather scents – this one barely registers as a leather and certainly isn’t in the powerhouse black/ chemical treated club. More the hearty/sweet light brown smell of the inside of a mountain trekker’s satchel. A grounding and humanizing scent.
I also appreciate that this house sells small bottles. As an avid fragrance collector who is constantly switching scents, I don’t need 100mL of anything. Their minis cost the same price/mL as the larger ones. I just purchased a 15mL of this 🙂

Smells like a camping trip in the mountains out west. I loved the smell of the air when we went to Sequoia National Park, and noticed it again outside Phoenix, AZ and in Santa Fe, NM. Memories of early morning light through the nylon of the tent, down sleeping bags, campfire, the sweetness of dry forest and scrub-brush.
