Description

Fragrances of the Drew Barrymore Flower Collection were composed to denote the specific emotions of a multifacted woman at different times of the day. Cherished reflects morning, because it offers a blend of dewy notes, sparkling chords of blackcurrant leaves and buds, accompanied by Italian lemon in top notes. The heart introduces floral notes of iris petals, rose and lily of the valley, laid on the base of Tahitian vanilla, pure cotton, musk, and creamy sandalwood. The composition is inspired by the nuzzling nature of the time a woman is with her husband and her family in her home.

The fragrance will be available starting October 2014 as 15 and 30 ml EDP bottles, accompanied by a roller ball edition for purse or travel. The nose behind this fragrance is Stephen Nilsen.

I nabbed a body spray of this due to its description and comparisons here. Nice warmth of Skin Musk with a bit more cedar (pencil shavings) on the end. I can put this in a tiny spray bottle in my purse for a pick-me-up.
Seems clear to me this was created by someone with love with GenX nostalgia, as Drew B would have being born in 1975. I’d love to get the perfume and am so sad it is no longer in stores.
I have some Dream Angels coming too, must smell it since it keeps coming up in these corners. 🙂 The smells-like feature here can keep me going for hours and buying oodles of samples.

Came out 4 years ago and already old and discontinued????
    Stop the madness!!

I really wish they wouldn’t discontinue the older Flower fragrances if that’s truly what they’re doing. I’d been reading reviews here and thought I’d better buy while I could. I originally received 3 of the Flower perfumes in a rollerball format when they first came out. Cherished is my favorite out of the three. I managed to get a larger rollerball recently and would’ve went for a big bottle if I had seen it. This perfume is a lovely powdery fragrance. For those that worry that powdery might mean ‘old lady perfume’, it doesn’t. It’s a very pleasant powdery smell.

So have they discontinued all of their older fragrances then? They arent on the Flower Beauty site. Its only the 3 new ones.

I received my bottle today at a discounted price. I think this smells like it would be priced much higher for what it is. I get a long lasting soft bed of musk which is warmed by vanilla bean and sandalwood. The vanilla doesn’t read as gourmand on me, but more like an unsweetened bourbon. I do get the comparison to Victoria’s Secret Dream Angel’s Heavenly, but this is softer and more comforting. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy with my purchase. To me this smells nothing like Fancy by Jessica Simpson. I would say this is most certainly the most comforting and cozy scent out of the Flower line by Drew Barrymore.
If you like: Tatiana or Navy by Dana you may also appreciate this.
If you like: Dream Angel’s Heavenly by Victoria’s Secret, you may like this.
If you like: Skin Musk by Parfums de Coeur, you may like this.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my review. xo

Found this little gem marked down at walmart, a 1oz bottle for $5, how could I not try it. And oh my goodness, this is yummy and delightful!! My nose smells vanilla, musk, sandlewood, and some powder. Cherished is cozy, warm and sweet without being syrupy. It reminds me a bit of a lighter version of Jessica Simpson’s “Fancy”. I will definitely repurchase.

I absolutely love the bottles on these Flower fragrances!!! And as far as Cherished smells, it is really pretty! Very vanillary. Yum!

I get the similarity to Heavenly because they’re both cuddly (or what I call cashmere) fragrances, but it ends there. Heavenly has much more white musk. I think Cherished is my favorite of her scents. It’s not instantly recognizable or unique, but more of a “you smell good” perfume.

This is such a soothing fragrance and a bit underrated. I was shocked how amazing This scent is and that I’ve never heard of this line. I have the mist and the 1 ounce eau de parfum. It’s indeed a very fresh, soft and powdery scent and has amazing longevity on me. The mist even has good silage and a decent longevity so if you can’t get your hands on the edp, then the mist will do just fine but I like to have both because I simply can’t get enough of this fragrance. I’m going back to Wal-Mart to buy out the rest of the mist and perfume before anyone else get to it.

I love this. Its creamy, vanilla with a little musk and somehow its sexy and calming at the same time. I get the same vibe from Jessica Simpsons Fancy. This lasts all day on me but I layer it with the body mist. This is my favorite of these Flower scents and I will definitely be rebuying it.
This does smell like Victoria Secret Heavenly.

I really like the powdery vanilla I get from this scent. It just doesn’t last very long, which is a shame since, so far, this is my favorite of Drews perfumes. I’d love a stronger version of this!

I do love this scent and it does remind me of VS Heavenly (as many reviewers have already brought out). Although, initially I smell the water notes and rose. It goes through its note pyramid fairly quickly and dries down within ten min. to a lovely vanilla sandalwood, (powdery vanilla, I love!) reminiscent of Heavenly. This perfume makes me happy:)

Creamy, fresh floral. I detect the rose and lily as well, which doesn’t seem to come up much in other reviews. Got a rollerball on clearance for $4.50 (!) at Walmart and will absolutely be buying the full size spray edit, which is only $19.99. I liked this one the best of all of the Flower line. Sunshine was my second favorite but does not last more than 15 minutes on me, while this one has the staying power and freshness I was looking for. There is a touch of clean laundry scent in here, but does not get cloying or soapy. I love it!

This is a nice vanilla sandal comfort scent. There just isn’t anything that really makes this pop for me unfortunately , but this would make a good work/everyday scent for a woman that needs something light and inoffensive.

This is a beautiful soft aquatic green floral scent. The bottle is so pretty. Sometimes it reminds me of Avon’s Reese Witherspoon In Bloom only the tea note is replaced by aquatic notes. That’s really jus a softer aldehyde note. The cassis and lemon are noticeable when you first spray it fresh and energizing. I smell roses and lily of the valley. The vanilla is also very very prominent but it’s not a gourmand vanilla, it’s just there to give the fragrance some longevity and sweetness but most of all this is a floral fragrance. It’s not strong at all and lasts all day. I hope Drew releases more fragrances because it’s almost like she’s shy about it. Love this fragrance.

This is a wear anytime anyplace safe but intriguing juice. It will not offend anyone and brings to mind a positive and likable scent. Good to own

I find this to be very reminiscent of fantasy in the sense of a woody/vanilla scent. This smelled super amazing in the store so I had to buy it. Once I took it home and sprayed it on my wrist, the wood note turned into bug spray on me. -_-

I absolutely love this. It smells like lemon cupcakes. This is what I had hoped DKNY creamy meringue would of smelled like. When I first sprayed this I immediately smell vanilla and lemon, followed by powder. I do smell the rose and lily mixed in, but it’s very light. In the dry down I smell vanilla and musk mainly, but the musk isn’t in your face harsh. I also get the crisp smell of cotton, but it’s not overly done. It is a beautiful scent and I’m glad I blind bought it at Walmart for $5.00 clearance. The dry down funny enough, reminds me of the Strawberry shortcake scented toy I had as a kid. I would also only do 1-4 sprays maximum, as it projects well and could potentially induce headaches. I give it 9 out of 10 overall.

Attn: This review is for Sparkling Garden (not yet cataloged).
Sparkling Garden is probably meant to be a dupe of Bright Crystal. It is so much like my Ungaro Party.

This is a soft, feminine scent that is definitely reminiscent of VS Heavenly.
It starts with a sort of generic musk/sandalwood that I don’t really like. That doesn’t last long though, and then you start to pick up the iris and aquatic notes that give it a nice powdery quality. The dry down the my favorite, as this is where I get the creamy vanilla that ties the other notes together well.
I wish that the initial notes weren’t as jarring and generic as I find them to be, but the pleasant middle and dry down notes make up for it. It’s best for fall and winter, but can definitely be worn to the office or in the evening through all seasons.
The bottle is also very charming, and I think this would make for a good gift.

My least favorite of the three. If you like Alien you may tolerate this.
Update: Smells almost exactly like the strange Seven Skies Histoire.

My son got me this for Mother’s Day, but he actually had my daughter pick it out. They did good! I find this to be a lovely scent in every way. It does instantly remind me of VS Heavenly which I wore for years, but in some ways, I like Cherished better.
The bottle with the flower top is adorable too. Upon smelling all three in this line, I would wear two of the three. I don’t think I’d wear the pink bottled one, but the purple one was as amazing in it’s own way as Cherished is.
I do wish this was available in a larger size.

My husband got this perfume for me for Christmas right after it came out. He usually gets me a new perfume to try in July for my birthday and at Christmas. This has been a tradition for 13 years and he has only picked one that I did not like…Charlie White, nothing against dissent its just not me. I’m not great at reading notes as I am a perfumanista in training but I can say that I love Cherished…it’s nice, soft and feminine…if you have trouble keeping the scent of a fragrance and you don’t have the matching lotion, rub a tiny dab of petroleum jelly as a base before applying fragrance…anyway, I think that this is a lovely scent and I agree with reviews that mention smelling marshmallows. I think that I also smell flowers, vanilla and sandalwood, all of which I love.

Interesting take on vanilla, powdery blends…a constant dance in which the creamy notes are lead dancers, then the spicier, then the baby powder comes forward, only to retreat. Sweetness always stays in the background, and I wish I could coax it forward! Overall a very lovely soft choice for gentle moods. I bought a bottle and a roller ball at Walmart for around $20, very pleased!

Favorite of the 3 Drew Barrymore scents. Smells like creamy marshmallows.

This is a great light scent. This is perfect for a lazy day with family. It smells homey and warm in a way that is ladylike and gentle. On me this smells like sugary vanilla, a faint musk and powdery iris. I don’t get rose at all. It also kind of reminds me of fresh laundry in a way. It’s not like detergent really, but kind of like clean and warm? If that makes any sense. It makes me feel clean in a natural way. It sits VERY close to the skin. My husband liked it, but I had to have him sniff my wrist to smell it. Granted, I’m a two sprays kind of woman, but at the same time I don’t like random strangers sniffing me so I’m good with close scents.

Drugstore Classics review below is totally right – a definite relative of VS Heavenly! It’s lacking the cardamom note and is a bit more powdery on my skin, but they are absolutely similar to one another. I saw another review below that said Cherished is more sandalwood-y, which is what I was hoping for, but my skin amplifies mostly the vanilla and the musk. That’s not a bad thing, necessarily, I just adore sandalwood and would have liked to smell more of it 🙂 I like Heavenly a bit better myself, but Cherished is very likable – innocent, cuddly, soft, feminine, inoffensive.

I’m in agreement with those who assume Cherish will be the most popular scent of these three new releases.
Initially ( without benefit of TESTERS! ) some of us may gift or buy for the delightful color of the other two, but Cherish is considerably easier on the average nose. 😀
Definately a cousin to Victoria Secret’s Heavenly, though by no means identical. I mostly notice a floral freshness, coupled with a creamy musk base. The fresh notes create a clean aura more than anything. Not a sweet vanilla, by any means, more of a well blended melange.
Verdict: Not likely appeal to the vintage lovers amongst us, but very pleasant. Good for gift giving!

“Cherished” is a cozy, sheer, fluffy, creamy blend of soft vanilla, white musk on an almond-paste and powdered sandalwood base. This is like a more elegant, more sandalwood intense version of Victoria’s Secret “Dream Angels” and it also shares the cloud-like vanilla fluff quality of Stila’s “Creme Bouquet” and the powdery, almond impression in Jessica Simpson’s “Fancy Love”.
This is a creamy gourmand but any sweetness in “Cherished” is very subtle and overshadowed by woodsy notes that keep the vanilla dry, never sticky. I think it’s lovely and I’m impressed with the versatility coupled with affordability of the “Flower” brand. Between Barrymore’s three scents, with American women’s love of vanilla and gourmands, I expect “Cherished” will be the most popular. I love these and I hope they keep making them for a long time!

This is a very soft vanilla, powdery fragrance. It’s like a mix of a natural vanilla oil and baby powder. I think it’s very pleasant.

Blech…least favourite of the 3 Flower scents, reminds me of sweet flowery baby powder.I’m sure it’s a pretty scent for those who enjoy this kind of thing, but for me personally,it’s not my style.

I really like this. I have the roller-ball also. It is heavy on the sandalwood and vanilla, but I also detect a powdery freshness that I believe is the Iris. This is a cozy scent. I’m definitely gonna get a full bottle of this.

Tried only the rollerball at this point. Light; I’m smelling only vanilla and sandalwood.
