Description
Charleston Girl is inspired by the unique southern belles that are characteristic of Charleston but also inspired by the
beautiful city itself as a true representation of southern living.
Charleston Girl eau de parfum is a sultry, enticing fragrance that opens with a burst of sparkling-fruity top-notes filled with green apple, bartlett pear & casaba melon then weaves a delicate and sensuous floral middle with notes of orange blossom and jasmine and finishes with a soft, amber and sandalwood dry-down. While including ingredients native to Charleston, this luminous fragrance captures the spirit of a true southern belle.
Charleston Girl was launched in 2012. The fragrance is produced by Charleston Girl LLC, a company founded by Charleston native Kelly Gaskins.

Well I just recently had gone to Charleston and tried some of this little beauty in the city market and fell in love. It’s a very pretty, soft floral. I get the apple and pear, not so much the melon, lots of white florals, soft amber and musk in the dry down. Nice for the warm weather. Leaves a pretty feminine trail, very pleasant, decent longevity.

I like this quite a bit; it is light and sweet without being cloying. Unlike its promotional copy, which touts it as a “southern belle” perfume, Charleston Girl is actually a delicate, ladylike fragrance that reminds me of the gardens that abound in Charleston. It is very pleasant, though not especially compelling. Its packaging is inoffensive and functional but not memorable. All in all, a very nice souvenir to bring home from Charleston, one of my favorite cities, and you can buy it in local museum shops whose proceeds support historic preservation.

I’m honored to be the only reviewer of this beautiful perfume. Kelly Gaskins created this perfume back in 2012. We are both from Charleston South Carolina. I bought 4 bottles for myself. I love to wear this in the day time in the spring and summer. Opens up with a huge green apple. It’s delicious and sweet, plus there’s also a strong melon scent. Very fruity. Flowers are jasmine and orange blossom. Orange blossom is the strongest floral note here and works well wit the melon. This is a fruity floral that feels summery and does take me to Charleston every time where I do smell a lot of orange blossom. It also takes me to Myrtle Beach. A Southern fragrance that is more innocent, sweet and polite than a Bette Davis in Jezebel or Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind. This is not a Scarlett O’Hara perfume. This is more like a Dolly Parton perfume. She is sweet, feminine and no nonsense. It’s simple, not very complex, just a pretty woman smelling of pretty flowers and smelling like she has all the time in the world to spend at the beach. I also love to wear this in Florida where I live now. Not every woman can pull this off. Some women are just not the fruity floral type.
