It was soon after I bought this that I realized I don’t think that I am much of a fan of cardamom. I had a tube of Body Shop “Cardamom-and-somthing-else” lotion around the same time that I got this and I wondered until I finally put the two scents together in my brain. It makes me think “man soap,” and I feel it’s probably what’s turning me off wearing this fragrance. Although, to be fair, it would probably smell just fine on manflesh. It’s just kinda hard to find a good, simple licorice number outside of men’s cologne.
The chai and anise in this are nice and strong, so “must love anise” to wear this!

Ah, anise jokes, like Uranus jokes…they just never get old!

dry anise, bitter, medicinal and forceful.

Delicious spiced licorice, but very heavy on the licorice. My husband unfortunately hates the scent of black licorice, so I’m giving this to my sister. If you don’t like that scent, steer clear. If you do, this is worth a try. I found it very smooth and gentle.

this is beautiful, it mainly smells like anise, but it is almost aquatic in the drydown, I do pick up on the chai tea but only briefly. This totally reminds me on clinique’s simply that has been discontinued, but this is richer and warmer, not as cool. Also this has Davanna flower in it, says right on the box.

Wow I have never heard of this one before! I think I would be very interested in finding a bottle to test. I though I kept up on all BBW scents…apprently not! 🙂

it’s so funny to see this new perfume, as I just read an article that says that licorice (aka anise) scents turn men on the most of any scent. 😀 I don’t know that I would want to smell like chai, although I love the drink!

Too much anise for me, it overpowers any creamy, real chai-ness. It’s has nice spices, but is also bitter, kind of a turn-off. If you like to smell like anise and pumpkin pie spices (making it nice for fall and winter), you might like this; if you expect it to smell like warm, creamy chai, this will disappoint. Now that I think about it, this would probably make a nice men’s fragrance.
