Starts off with a swirl of different notes in which leather is prominent. Give it a few minutes. Settles to a leather-caramel, underpinned by woods and musk. A delicious, mouthwatering scent, the florals not very prominent, with a very light spice note. Strong but beautifully made, so never irritating. Highly recommended. Long lasting. Another win for Fragonard – yes please! 🙂

FYI : “Cette Nuit là”, the version currently sold on the Fragonard website, is the same as the Confidentiel line (wich has been discontinuated).
At the opposite, the current “Mensonge” is saddly different from the Confidentiel version (fresher & lighter).

An fiery & sexy opening makes you think of Incense burning to an dark and mysterious
Deity. with it’s milky galbanum and smoky
caraway spicy coriander and dries to an
note of Powdery violets and deep irises
the base drydown has an milkiness scent
of amber mixed with honey there’s an the note of leather lurks beneath the base
or this perfume.

I got Cette nuit La in a “bell” bottle (as advertised in the web site); I don’t know if it’s the same as Confidentiel, but the fragrance is absolutely beautiful to my nose.
The leather is not strong here, which i like; something sweet peaks out of the spicy/floral ensemble (I think it’s sandalwood and vanilla). Sandalwood is particularly noticeable here, so I think men may want to try this out, if they are not afraid of spicy sweet scents. This is very oriental and oh! so intriguing and perfect for winter)) Well done overall!

I agree : a very sophiosticated frag; also wearable by men. Unfortunately discontinuated… or about to.

I LOVE this. It’s a sophisticated, sexy oriental with a lot of spice. It smells like something Serge Lutens would make. The top and middle notes only last for a second – I don’t detect anything but the base notes, especially the leather, amber, and patchouli. Very intriguing. More of a winter fragrance or occasional fragrance.
