At first, I thought this was just OK. It kind of had a similar kind of vibe as fragrances such as D&G The One EDP and YSL La Nuit de L’homme. The price of $125 for 75 ml was also a bit hard to swallow.
However, with the current price of testers on Ebay (I got a few for about $30 + $7 shipping), it’s definitely a bargain, now. I also love the drydown of this better than that of what I mentioned above. Much better longevity on my skin, too.

They might have changed the formulation of this fragrance. To me now trying this again after a long time, its a very fresh kind of fragrance. It almost has an aquatic vibe going on. Its a slightly boozy fresh and clean slightly soapy believe it or not type smell.. than turns to a creamly slightly sweet woody smell. Its pretty good..

i was surprised that the second time i try it i begun to like it and actually getting infatuated with it a bit, as the first time i tried it i smelled exactly nothing, i thought the sample reached me faulty but i guess because of me sniffing other testers at the same time lead to that emptyness.
within this charming potion i can smell the masculine sweetness of a double faced evil gentleman who plays on 2 lines satisfying his lust sexually and captures his charming lovers through the spellful dust that he casts within a limited space and lead them into it unconsciously, leaving them in vain and lust dreaming of him to appear again. desirable and captivating. he’s a winner in what he does. he is the devil in disguise & irresistible as he knows how to use your weakest point to his benefit.
i guess the cognac gave that impact to the juice.
(update 26th Sept 2014) im facing strange situation with this perfume particularly. somedays i smell nothing as if i am smelling water. exactly nothing. and few other days i smell the fragrance. i really don’t know what is happening as im facing this problem with this perfume only, i really wonder why!?
update (8th Jan 2015) i just realize that it was a grand mistake reviewing this fragrance cause i was sniffing something else but i don’t remember what it was or maybe the sample was different than the real bottle!! weird.

Am I losing my mind here?
After the initial opening swirling bit from some citrus perhaps? I get a massive hit of star anise.
This is the most prominent ANISEED smell I’ve encountered and I for one love it!
As it settles down No.14 becomes more herbaceous and that strong note seems to split into clary sage and taragon with a hint of violet leaf.
It’s an odd fragrance I must say but beautifully conceived the main thing about it is the woody Guaic and that herbal quality…I really really like it.
There had to be a downside though and unfortunately it is that this fragrance is pathetically short lived on my skin, I mean it’s a joke! I thought No.4 was bad but I can forgive it a little for being a citrus but even that lasts longer and projects better than No.14…such a shame.

What could have been a decent scent is ruined by the dreaded aquatic note. Smells like a night version of Aqua di Gio with same horrible aquatic metallic note. Scrubber.

Opens with the grapefruit with I think the tarragon. Bright, fresh smelling with an herbal background. Now that smell is mixing with a nice note of semi-vanillic smooth amber. After a while, the top goes away and I get some guaiac wood with the same amber and maybe the cognac mixed in. Very pleasant! I like this one a lot.

I received a bottle of this one yesterday and unfortunately my sensitivity seems really low now, so this scent seemed weak. It is very nicely blended, so there’s no harshness, yet it’s simple and reasonably natural smelling. The violet is clearly there, and over time it fades while the cognac/wood creaminess comes forward. I didn’t get any strong sweetening note, such as amber or tonka, though I’d guess there is a touch of amber present. It seemed to last well, though it doesn’t seem very strong. Next time I’ll just keep spraying until I generate a stronger quality (I used two sprays this time). This has definite unisex potential, IMO, because there is nothing harsh/”masculine” about it.

P.S.: and definitely targeting the sophisticated gentleman of 35+.

Masculine, distinctive; woodsy but elegant– very appealing. This is some sexy juice.

always been partial to number 7, but I gotta say this is one nice fragrance.. really enjoying this one so far.. got a 10 mil sample so I could try it out and really like the opening , dry down is very smooth and more of a sweeter type of fragrance than # 7..still think I prefer 7 but could definitely wear this one. check it out if you can find a small sample.

This is the best fragrance from the Cereus house. There’s something about this that makes it very inviting and comfortable. It’s also very easy to wear and versatile. Excellent fragrance.

This is the best fragrance thus far from the Cereous house. Masculine and elegant. It is woody and boozy with a layer of sweetness and freshness. Very nice for either formal or semi-casual wear. I think it can be worn all year around. Silage and longevity are average. Nice fragrance.
