I’ve worn this twice and each time I get a sweet violet and anise vert/ star anise combination, which does make it smell very unusual, perhaps not everyone’s cup of tea.
Projection is enormous and it seems ultra sweet when you get a trail of it on the wind.

I’ve loved this fragrance for such a long time..then again I love the smell of almonds, however, this is not a foody scent…it’s soft and clean, technically and poetically well balanced. It’s sumptuousness lingers on clothes like a gentle whisper. Many compliments. I’ve been on the internet, to all the local malls and even to Paris to pick some up to satisfy my addiction and the perfumeries have told me they are no longer making this. Both Red and Pink bottles were wonderful although I think the pink was my absolute favorite. I hope they decide to make it again someday. The memories will be wonderful to revisit.

I can’t believe it – all I smell is soap. Mind you, a very nice, rich, English Lavender type soap, but soap all the same. My wrists smell so clean right now. But almond and vanilla? Not at all. My chemistry apparently does not work with this fragrance.

At the first spray: a burst of pepper (I guess that’s how my nose ‘smells’ the cedar?), a hint of hard-candy, vanilla floats into the mix like an apparition of softness. The dry-down has a slight whiff of peppery-licorice wrapped in almonds about it.
Yes, Castelbajac is a complex scent. A puzzle of warm ‘yum’, more vanilla than sweet; cedar and almond equally balanced.
Very worth it if it works with your nose and chemistry! It’s perfect as signature scent. No mistaking this one, it’s a mysterious Lady in a crowded room that effortlessly gets all the attention.

This one is so fruity and sweet, just like hard candy. The bottle is designed to look like a blanket. Adorable.

Pleasant, very unoffensive, soft scent, perfect for everyday daytime wear or even office, but I wouldn’t consider it to be boring or “safe” — it’s modern and unusual. I don’t think many (if any) people would be offended by this scent. Powdery, with strongest notes in rose, lily-of-the-valley, and cedar on me. Would wear this in the Fall or late Summer.
