I LOVE this perfume, it is for a summer day when you want to feel all girly and or woman, it lasts so long on me that I can still smell it each morning after the day I wear it before I shower for the new day.
Yes it’s sweet, reminds me of fairy floss/rose but that is a summer fair reminder that is not unwelcome.
If it is a hot day this somehow makes me feel sweet and fresh and I know that will stay with me from day to night to next morning.
Mor Marshmellow is a winner, I may have to start trying the others, I love a lasting perfume.
I don’t stick to one perfume so each has it’s own merit.

Like missk, I’m also Australian, and even though I’ve enjoyed MOR’s range of beautifully scented candles and body care products, I never really thought to try their fragrances as they seemed uninteresting to me. All except this one; and just as I found out about it today, at the same time I also found out that sadly, it has been discontinued… 🙁
Why MOR, why?! This would make a perfect little fragrance for the upcoming autumn here. I simply adore blackcurrant and rose scents. Please bring this perfume oil rollerball back asap!

I came across the MOR Little Luxuries collection at Myer and was of course drawn to the perfume oil rollerballs.
Cassis Noir was my favourite fragrance of the line with spicy, tart black currant partnered with subtle rose. It has an exotic feel but is not overpowering.
The review by missk echoes my own experience. I had Midnight Fantasy but had to let it go. Cassis Noir seems to me related to Midnight Fantasy, perhaps more reserved but also more dramatic.
The packaging is gorgeous and does bring a moment of luxury to the everyday.

Cassis Noir capstured the essence of black currants well – dark, tart and juicy. It was a good move on MOR’s part to make a perfume oil as opposed to alcohol-based scent as it makes fruity note more prominent and longer lasting.
i also find that this scent doesn’t change on me, it seem to have one well-blended note that lasts for hours on my skin even during summer

I’m an Australian, and for many years, I assumed MOR only made soaps, candles and lotions. I never thought to try their fragrances until only recently. Since then, I have vowed never to dismiss the brand again. My favourite from this line so far is Cassis Noir.
At the beginning of this year, I finally used up my full bottle of Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears. When I first bought it as a teen, it was my favourite night time fragrance. I absolutely loved the dark berries and intense juiciness. Unfortunately I grew out of it rather quickly and never found a more mature replacement, until now.
Cassis Noir, (although smelling nothing like blueberries and plum candy), has a beautiful, rich and enticing black currant accord with a smooth vanilla drydown. To my nose, it smells like a grown-up version of Midnight Fantasy. It’s slightly more sophisticated and sensual too.
This fragrance comes in a small, purse-sized rollerball, and is the perfect accessory for a night out. Not to mention, it also comes in a matching lip balm, lotion and soapette. The layering options are endless.
The rose in Cassis Noir is romantic and rich, like a red rose. Although this fragrance is primarily a fruity floral, the rose tames the berries, making it quite wearable and elegant. This smells nothing like a fruity Escada release.
Other than wearing Cassis Noir for night-time outings, I also find it subtle enough to be worn during Winter. I am very impressed with this fragrance. I only hope that MOR never discontinues it.

you can really smell the currants in this, very sweet, but yet tart. the rose and cinnamon creep in a few minutes later. the jasmine rounds everything out nicely. this is an exotic and oily scent that is lasting on me 2 hrs , so far. its a dfferent scent and i’m enjoying it.
