Description
Prada is launching new exclusive collection of fragrances called Prada Olfactories containing ten editions: Purple Rain, Nue au Soleil, Tainted Love, Un Chant d’Amour, Cargo de Nuit, Heat Wave, Day for Night, Double Dare, Pink Flamingos and Marienbad. The creations are signed by perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier who said that that the scents are all intended to be “potent concoctions of the unexpected, provoking the cinematic experience of a partially remembered dream… It’s a strong vision that is far from cliché. They’re very different from what you’ll find on the market. They’re not done studying the trends of the market and create a bestseller; they are done out of the spirit of Prada.”
The fragrances are supposedly not done studying the trends of the market, but in keeping with the spirit of the house Prada. Each bottle contains a silk purse from Prada materials.
Cargo de Nuit is “the scent of a twilight passage on the high seas”, which contains notes of ambrette and cedar.
Available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum for $300.
Cargo de Nuit was launched in 2015.

This just smells exactly the same as all other Prada fragrances. I can’t smell anything unique compared to any other brand either. It smells a little artificial too compared to other premium fragrances. Average at best and certainly not worth the money.

I love Cargo de nuit so much. I’m happy that not many people know about this masterpiece..I can officially call this and Diptyque’s Fleur de peau (another masterpiece) my two signature scents! They both are so unique! Cargo de nuit lasts on my skin for one day and a half even after taking a shower and sweating during the summer! On clothes it lasts for days! A true compliment getter!

Review update: I have spent 3 months with this gem and everytime I wear this, I get tons of compliments and every male or female gets close and smells me. Not hard to say that this might be the best perfume of my collection.

It layers incredibly well with just about everything. And I have to revise my statement in my previous review that it doesn’t last… It seems that when layered, not only it lasts for ages, but it also prolongs the other perfume’s longevity and gives them an amazing sillage. Truly magical, as I already said. Love it to bits!

My girlfriend wears this.. It’s a beautiful scent, lasts a long time. Quite linear. Very unisex. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.

It was love at first sniff. What an amazing and different perfume! Or should I say smell? This is not close to any other perfume out there… Someone said something about fairies… Do fairies smell like this? Maybe… this is so airy, so clean, so soapy… Sunshine and clean clothes… There are no word to describe this one! It brings me back sweet memories from the past and makes me happy… Amazing!
*This review was written after several full wearings of the perfume and not just after smelling this on paper or on wrist.

Wonderful perfume with almost nonexistent sillage and longevity. It smells of forests and fairies… It’s truly magical until it disappears, in just… say, ten minutes? Without even leaving a trail behind it, no matter how liberally you spray it on your hair, body or clothes… As if it wasn’t so expensive… What a shame for such a magnificent creation…

Can’t get enough of it – subtly discretely inidentifiably almost sweet intertwined with (at least what I feel on my skin) almond bitterness (it’s probably cedar)… very elegant , but understated . Very classy , but wearable every day. You need the whole bottle to reassure yourself that you project what you paid for:-) but it’s really worth it. Strangely it gets stronger by the hour – Tonka plays the trick on the skin , I guess.

So I was at Saks in NY and passed by the Prada olfactoria kiosk and the lady handed me a sample o this, I liked and asked for a spray on skin. At the beginning there’s no wow factor to this but after walking around for 3 hours I was feeling a amazing smell coming up from my wrist then I remembered that’s were I tried this. I had to go back and buy it!!! It worth every penny, but again… you have to let it work its magic, on me it lasts 8+ hrs and I get lots of complements. It seems almost too simple when you spray it in, but trust me this thing is a beast disguised!!!! The good thing is that it is super limited, like 3 places in the world Sell it and you will feel exclusive for sure.

Cargo de Nuit has very noticeable tonka and balsamic notes, and then dries down into a gentle, musky amber. I also get a sweet, powdery honey and something red and syrupy within. I’m reminded of frigid winter air with a dash of cherry schnapps. This one is so gorgeous to me.

The woody notes mixed with tonka bean in this reminds me a lot of Rive Gauche, but YSL packs way more of a punch. This is transparent and light almost to a fault. Maybe as a body spray it would be ok, but at $300 a bottle? I think not.

BIEN TROP CHER POUR CE jus étonnant qui rappelle de loin l’infusion d’Iris et un fond d’odeur métallique rappelant le ferà repasser chaud. magnifique surprenant mais cher.. dommage !

This a exclusive launch at very few places in the world. From the whole collection I liked this the most. I have to say that these are very simple formulation fragrances and are very different to what actually exists in the market. I wouldn’t pay the price of this,over 500 a 100 ml bottle.
