A winner for me! I love how sexy this smells. It is a teasing head-turner 4 Sure! Just right on the fruity/sweetness. Not too much and the woody or Patcholli balances it all out!!!

The blackcurrant opening is just intense! It is also one of the most authentic blackcurrants I’ve yet encountered, very very sour, which is well-balanced with background sweetness of vanilla and amber. Gradually sweetens on my skin to a fruity vanilla scent with a sour hint. Lasted on my skin for several hours.
Overall, very impressed with the quality. The opening sillage was just massive, even though I’ve only sprayed a bit on my wrist, it was just suffocating my smell buds. Though later it mellowed down.
After testing some perfumes from Galimard, I’ve come to the conclusion that they really like their old school sillage beasts.
2018 July edit:
I would like to confess after more than a year with this that it has turned into a love. I have really warmed up to this scent, it is light and universal enough to be worn almost all year round but it is not banal or boring in any way, despite being a sort-of fruitchouli. I do not wear it too often, so I don’t get tired of it either. We are steel-forged companions, Cantabelle and I.

I bought this in Gourdon in France, and wore it often while it lasted. Fruity and sexy without being sweet, it made me feel wonderfully feminine. I am now nostalgic for the fragrance and I’ll buy it again at the first opportunity.

Well, “Cantabelle” is a jewel! It is a “sweet and sour” glamorous perfume for the woman who looks and feels younger. This perfume “has a breath” and even if that sounds oxymoron for a perfume, it really makes its name justice. “Cantabelle”, I love you!

Oh my gosh, this is a GORGEOUS, very sexy scent! I received free samples from the kind people at Galimard USA after sending them an email asking where I could get samples in the US. This is the first one I’m trying.
The beginning is a juicy blend of fruits- I love the sweet plum and black currant (one of my favorite notes), balanced by tart cranberry and bergamot. The lily of the valley develops but it’s hidden and soft- blending very well with the rest of the notes and never steals the show away from the fruits. It adds a pretty sophistication to this perfume. The vanilla, amber, and musk deepen the fragrance to make it sensual and warm enough for fall but the perfume is still so fresh that it can be worn in the summer, too.
Cantabelle is all glamour- I LOVE it and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my new favorites! I will definitely be buying a full-sized bottle 🙂
UPDATE: My boyfriend loved this one (probably because of the vanilla) and said that he liked that it was “sweet but not too sweet”. This is a lovely fruity-vanilla perfume!
