Beautiful and very relaxing watery powdery citrus fragrance. Unfortunately seems to be discontinued 🙁 I would have liked to own a bottle of it.
Very watery but not marine. It’s more of a vague and luminous transparent note that is both fresh and calming, very well done and very natural.
This strong watery note is always present, supported by the juicy and aromatic citrus notes (the lemon and orange notes are perfect for me, not too sweet nor too sharp), the jasmine is warm and powdery and the wood notes are grounding and well combined.
I really enjoyed the 3 hours or so it lasted on my skin, serene, calming but also energising and refreshing. It has just a little sillage (wafts of it would sometimes reach my nose from my arm) and is perfectly office appropriate.
(tested one of those sampler wet tissues from l’occitane I had forgotten to try).

This is still sold here in Reykjavik…but I’m hesitant since I doubt it has any longevity at all, am I right?

Wonderful smell – reminds me of holidays in Menorca at the secret beach you could only access by foot. A beautiful cove surrounded by pine trees. Woody, salty notes – fresh and intoxicating.

Refreshing and dreamy fragrance with a cozy woodsy touch. Light and unobtrusive, good even for early mornings. Perfect for hot summer days. Longevity is moderate though.
It’s a pity, that this inspiring fragrance was discontinued. Seems, it’s a politics of L`Occitane – to launch perfumes only for a year or two. That’s a bad tactics for a company to demonstrate that perfumes it produces are only a hook for consumers and are not worth to become beloved fragrances.

Really refreshing, and better lasting power than other L’Occitane perfumes I’ve tried.

Those who love this should try Demeter’s Salt Air.

I love this range – I knew it was going to be phased out so I stocked up over Christmas with body lotion, shower gel ( they didn’t have much so had to get the soap) and perfume. I saved using it until the weather turned better and just love the scent. A few people at work stopped me last year to ask what i was wearing because it reminded them of the seaside. They went out and bought some too. I am gutted I can’t get it anymore and would love some ideas of something similar.

It does smells like sea water. very balanced fresh aquatic scent, not a new one but very nice and refreshing.

I’m wearing this in the cold winter months and it smells like salty sea air. I’m sure when it gets hot here in southern california I’ll smell more of the pine. There is a floral jasmine note, but the floral I smell is closer to a marigold. Amazing silage with this one. I spray at night and still smell it in the morning.
L’occitane perfumes are either hit or miss with my chemisty. When it’s a hit they are the most natural genuine pure perfumes I own. Genuine, meaning they feel hand-poured with natural oils rather than mass produced with who knows what.

Calanque is being discontinued faster than I could get my hand on one, but I am not all that sad about it because I think it find it too ordinary. Calanque is airy calone fragrance that gives an impression of a fresh seashore through the marine and ozone nuances. Nothing nutty nor Strong floral note at all. It’s just a pleasant clean and summery fresh and salty breezy cool. Anyway, I find it great for everyday use, and I like it a lot as a soap or shower gel.

I tried in store today – it’s a beautiful fragrance. One to wear in summer, or when dreaming about summer. It evokes memories of the mediterranean; of azure waters, mimosa, sand. I love it. It wears quite well for an aquatic – I applied it about four hours ago and am still enjoying it.

Smells exactly like the Mediterranean seaside on a summer’s day, sea water, the sun, the seaside shrubbery, and of course, of warm skin with a bit of tanning oil. The bath gel has the perfect mix of citrus and aquatic notes, with a hint of pine (the note which I love best in this composition) swimming between the pistachio and benzoin notes. Sadly the scent doesn’t project much and stays close to the skin, and even with that, it doesn’t manage to last long enough, not in the way I am used to L’Occitane fragrances–and I hope it is not a sign of their lacking care for quality these days. All in all it is a different and nice addition to the line compared to their recent verbena scent, which they tried so hard to win people over, much like their Citrus Verbena a couple years ago, but doesn’t hold a candle to it.

I was revved up to try a pistachio fragrance from L’Occitane. . . but alas all I got was the citrus and wood here, none of the sweet nuttiness I’d been promised. A decent summer fragrance, but nothing to write home about.

Very nice fragrance and comes in a lovely little blue bottle. Tried this one in the shop yesterday and loved it. Smells like the beach, fresh water and very aquatic. It has similairities with REM from Reminiscence. I want to buy a beach scent, but don’t know which one to take. Maybe I have to go back and try it again.
