“As a way of reflecting not only on my growth as a perfumer but also my experiences at Burning Man, (2015 marks my 10 th consecutive year attending the event) I’m co-releasing Burner Perfume No.1 Black Rock City. Created in 2010 for the art theme Metropolis, this is the very first perfume I shared with the Burning Man community and has never been commercially available. Black Rock City is a perfume portrait of the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, the place where Burning Man is held. While Reflection is all about the sky above, Black Rock City is about the earth below. The herbal scent of sage, both leaves and flowers mingles with the sweet vanilla-like fragrance of mesquite blossoms before giving way to the smoky, resinous notes of Texas Cedar and Mesquite Bark, grounding you firmly to the austere beauty of the desert.” – a note from the perfumer.
