I buy randomly and haphazardly at STC. So, I picked up a sizeable decant of this. I’ll wear almost anything once, and it doesn’t matter if it’s marketed to women or men since I really like deep, dark, smoldering incense frags or woods. This was recommended somewhere.
As a woman, this skews masculine on me, and I can’t say I’m a fan of that. It smells like vetiver for some reason.
It is floral and cool, pleasant, reminds me of other male frags out on the market that are “Davidoff-like.” I literally do not pick up any woods at all, a little bit of saffron, a lot of floral, and I would swear a heaping dose of vetiver, though not listed.
I would probably like this on a guy well enough It has good longevity and silage. Not on my FB list for myself or anyone I know.

So I blind bought a used bottle of this about a year ago. I have not worn it since I bought it and I know why. Besides the bottle being super cheesy this is just too feminine for me. This is coming from a guy that loves Al Rehab Soft, Lolita Lempicka L and Lavanila Laboratories Vanilla Coconut. The thing is that the florals used in Burj overwhelm and cancel out majority of the other notes. I do get a slightly woody vibe as well and some of the balsamic qualities but not even for me to wear it often. It is long lasting and projects great but it’s not for me.

You are right Shwets it is like Shaikha.
It is typical of its kind, smooth, musky, powdery, smoky and floral, with the wood and incense notes strong and lasting.
Great longevity (especially on my skin)and sillage too and ideal for cold weather as incense can be at its best.

I’ve wanted to try this in ages and finally spotted this at Westfields Stratford. The SA was getting on my nerves as she thought i had no clue about fragrances.
Anyway to get straight to this scent, it is a woody cooling type of fragrance, not sure if this is saffron but this same note i find in Al Rehab Shaikha (also in rollerball with brown label). Except this Burj is better in quality. It lasts long and smells more masculine. Personally not my kind of scent but great for those that like something refreshing, woody and not too sweet.

Who wouldn’t buy this for the cheesy bottle?
