This is a nice tropical, beach scent. Half way through the bottle I began to layer it with Victoria Secret Coconut Passion to extend its longevity. In addition, I often oversprayed since this is so lightweight.
It’s a very pleasant skinscent however I won’t repurchase due to its poor lasting power.

Wow this sure is light compared to the perfume. Wow. I used up like 20x more than I need to use the perfume. I don’t like the perfume very much though BC its too sweet. Frankly I don’t care much for this one either. Its smells like very sexy now beach. Or I guess I should say vs beach smells like this. Sorry, I’m a soleil blanc girl

I was looking for a scent that would be similiar to how the Lush Silky Underwear body powder smells (and that would fit the sunscreen season) and this one isn’t bad at all.
I actually really love the simple, gradient bottle with the color scheme that reminds me of a sunset.
I don’t enjoy the fruitiness of the opening scent too much, but it doesn’t last long enough to really bother me.
It becomes quite soft and floral, I actually wish the jasmine in this was a little stronger.
    Milky and sweet.
    Good summer scent.
Edit: Definitely needs to be reapplied during the day, but it’s not a problem for me. The bottle is somewhat huge too, especially since this is something I would only wear during summer.

I like it, a great summer scent – suntan oil and coconut vibes?. However, it does not last long on my dry skin. Also, I purchased the roll on because I may be travelling with it. And I am not a huge fan of those. I do not think they effectively put the fragrance on. But they are super convenient. If I bought again, I would buy in the bottle.

I’m really trying hard to like this one because i’m currently on the hunt for a summer scent that doesn’t make me feel sick (i’m pregnant so a lot of my perfumes are nausea inducers at the moment- boooo) BUT to me it smells like rich old ladies- It’s nice but very sweet and cloying. This might be due to crazy hormones though so maybe I should try again next summer!

    Bronze Goddess

This one gets released every summer but somehow I never noticed it until recently. I LOVE it. Bought some in the Christmas gift pack at reduced price with the body lotion and bronzer. The lotion is fantastic, helps the scent last longer. Of all my collection of beachy suntan lotion type scents this is by far the prettiest. Bronze Goddess has just the right blend of pretty tropical florals with coconut and salty fresh air and vanilla. Next choice is Bobbi Brown Beach, then Bond No.9’s Fire Island and finally Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s Aqua Motu which is drier and decidedly unisex. I will be sure to get a bottle of Bronze Goddess every year. Just wait till after Christmas and the department stores have the gift pack cheaper than a bottle on its own.

The first blast is orange blossom with coconut. The base then comes through strongly on me, an almost licorice woody scent that I don’t care for. There is no scent of suntan lotion, at least on me. I bought it is sample and gave them to a friend. Sunny and breezy sweet with a dark “thud”. Not for me.

Funny story with this one…total impulse buy. I went into Macy’s I think it was for some Clarins products and the Estee Lauder counter was adjacent. I went over to the EL counter initially just to spritz on my favorite private collection Tuberose Gardenia fragrance (DIVINE) but they didn’t have it in store. I saw the Bronze Goddess and on a whim spritzed some on my wrists and sniffed – meh – forgot about it quickly and went down for dinner. At the table I kept catching illusive whiffs of THE. MOST. BEAUTIFUL. SCENT. and I could not figure out for the life of me where it was coming from until I remembered that I had sprayed Bronze Goddess on myself. Oh my god. Mixed with my skin chemistry this is the warmest coconut and amber dream, but it’s also so much more than that. There’s a mallow type of scent that comes in and stands as a perfect compliment to skin.It really does just smell like skin after a day warmed and bronzed and covered in sand. I get no citrus whatsoever. Anyway, I loved it so much I went back to Macy’s immediately after dinner and snatched up a full bottle. I would recommend to anyone.

I got this in a wonderful swap, blindly. I didn’t love it at the first sniff, as it seemed too diluted and smelling like body lotion and warm skin . Yet it grew on me… not in a passionate kind of love, but in a soft , calming and relaxing pleasure …. there are a lot of notes listed for such a delicate scent, I cannot smell them distinctively, but I do sense some coconut and tiare.. something creamy …. the silage is soft, the lasting power low to average. But it’s just wonderful to spray after a bath when going to bed ! Smell like laziness and relaxation .

This is how you smell when you are lying at the beach a hot summer day when you have put on your luxurious suntan lotion.
The bottle is beautiful but the smell do not last :(. this is my first time getting BG and I will continue doing this every summer I hope the next year is better.

I can’t describe how much i love this fragrance ;’) it’s the best for summer <3 when i apply it first i smell citrus and tiara flowers, then after a short time i smell the coconut milk, so yummy and amazing scent <3

I know it’s a summer cliche at this point, but oh my god, I absolutely love this fragrance. I don’t even care that I have to reapply it every 3 hours- it’s priced fairly if you ask me. (And for what it’s worth, I find it clings to my clothes much longer than my skin, so I make sure to spray a bit on my top.) I now live in a dreary country with no real summer to speak of, but when I wear this scent, I can pretend!

Far less citrus than I expected, and where’s the coconut?! The top, meh. The heart, meh. But myrrh in the base–it’s the star here and enough to make this one just barely a keeper. Longevity and sillage are poor.

This was a blind buy. I love all things coconut. I am reminded of going to the pool with my Mother when I was two. Bronze Goddess smells exactly like expensive suntan oil. A nice scent. It sits very close to my skin; and I am enjoying smelling my wrist.

This was a total blind buy for me. I LOVE coconut *everything* so I was excited to try this out after reading so many favorable reviews. When I first opened the bottle, I was pretty disappointed. It smelled terribly synthetic, and this is going to sound strange, but it reminded me of how my Barbies from the 80s and 90s smelled (off-gassing of the plastics)! I decided to give it a chance anyway and while it has grown on me during these hot summer days, I find that I like it much better layered with other coconut or fruity perfumes (Perfect Coconut Milk or Born In Paradise).

Oh my I didn’t like it one bit !! Smelled like a cheap body spray !? Like the vibe is cheap coconut to me
I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody !! The older versions are way nicer !! Disappointing !!

Unfortunately, Bronze Goddess has become such a common fragrance…At the first spray it does smell beachy and gives off that sunny summer feeling but the end of the day it turns synthetic and the next day it’s even more noticeable.

I’ve often wondered what was the inspiration behind the name of this fragrance, Bronze Goddess. In 2006, Ronald S. Lauder, son of Estee Lauder, purchased The Woman in Gold formerly known as the portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer by Gustav Klimt for 135 million. It can be seen at the Neue Galerie in NYC.
My curiosity about this fragrance awhile ago had me visit a local ULTA so I can spray it on my arm to test it. It left me feeling very underwhelmed. Nothing about it stands out except for a tropical vibe that’s reminiscent of an ULTA Body Spray Guava-Coconut. So, I purchased the bath gel, lotion, and spray instead.
It’s a shame the gorgeous bottle of Bronze Goddess isn’t befitting the fragrance itself.

Is this some kind of imaginary coconut? I was trying to find it, but no. Just citruses on me. Weak citruses.
Search for summer 2016 sweet coconut with flowery and citrusy twist (but just a little bit citrus) continues!

Found my signature summer perfume. It reminds me of an exotic botanical flower garden. At first it has a very flowery dominance, mainly tiare and magnolias. It dries down pretty quickly to a dry woody base. No coconut on me, if I’m feeling particularly tropical I put some coconut lotion beforehand to moisturize my skin and enhance the base. It’s alcohol free, so it’s very light on the skin. Alcohol based products are harsh in summer, and can upset the skin. It’s just so pretty.

I have it, and the 2008 version, and they are the same. Bronze Goddess is my all time favorite summer scent, amazing. I bought the body lotion too, and the body scent and the body lotion are stonger together, very long lasting!

As I see from the notes, this should be the same composition from 2011 Bronze Goddess. Only the packaging changes every summer. I own the last year’s edition and I think it’s exactly the same. When I spray I smell some light tropical white flowers(maybe tiare) and a hint of citruses such as lemon or bergamot. After a while, I get something milky, mild and creamy, it may be some coconut milk. In this stage, it is a little synthetic to my skin. The drydown of the fragrance is a little woody and smooth because of the sandalwood and amber. I don’t get lavender, vetiver or vanilla at all. I have to admit that this fragrance stays quite close to the skin as its name ”eau freaiche skinsent” implicates. This is how you smell when you are lying at the beach a hot summer day when you have put on your luxurious suntan lotion. As a skinsent, the sillage is moderate and the longevity good but not excellent. As the bootle is 100 ml, it is easy to re-apply whenever you need it. It can be used both daytime or night time and it is perfect for work as it is innofensive and also an excellent scent to take with you at your vacation. It could be also good to women who don’t like heavy scents in winter, in order to bring back amazing summer memories.Perfect also for women who don’t like aquatics or heavy citruses for summer. The packaging is beautiful, although I like more the 2011 bottle with the glitter in the bottom. All in all, I quite like this one although it is not perfect for my chemistry. A good staple to have in your collection every summer. I recommend it!
Edit:,You should try layering it with a coconut based body cream/lotion in order to intensify the coconut note.
