This is some weak body spray stuff.
Actually, it’s not even that. Most of the body sprays I’ve smelled are a lot stronger than this.
This starts out with a fairly sharp alcohol smell. Once that dissipates, there’s a hint of sharp, artificial strawberry. Not even a heavy, syrupy, candy-like strawberry. More like strawberry Pixi Stix, if even that.
This smells like it would be appropriate on someone under the age of 14. It does not last. It is gone almost as soon as it dries.

This is a sharp soapy strawberry-candy scented shampoo fragrance for children. None of the sweet creamy strawberries I expected from the reviews. I’ll use it maybe once a while to scent my hair if I want to appear juvenile and carefree, but that’s not everyday. On skin it lasts around 2h but in my hair, more than 12h.
I don’t get reviews that state this as a soft scent, to my nose it’s astringent and spikey, almost enough to induce a headache if you overspray and sniff too closely. Careful application is needed with this one.
The brand “I Love… Cosmetics” make a body spray called “I Love Strawberries & Cream” that cost half as much as Boum and it smells like a sweet juicy strawberry in a bit of whipped cream. Try that if Boum’s strawberry shampoo scent is not up your alley. That stuff’s lasting power is at least 3h.

I am new to this site and came across this brand while searching for gourmand scents! I immediately ordered some BOUM fragrances, since they seem good value, although I ordered them all “blind” based on the great reviews I read here.
According to the Jeanne Arthes site, here is the description of this scent:
“At the rate of a heartbeat, love is an explosion of the senses … dare to unpin Boum that will overwhelm the other sweet and sensual fragrances. A drop of syrup has fallen to the bottom of the bottle … a perfume that will reappear at the edge of your lips.”
    Head note: Strawberry, Cassis
Heart note: Rose, Peony, Iris, Freesia, Violet, Raspberry leaf
Base note: Sandalwood, Cedar wood, Amber, White musk
On me, this is a very light, fresh, feminine fragrance. It smells fruity and sugary with very light florals. The pink bottle is cute and adorable! The scent is not very long-lasting. A little bit girly, but I do not mind! The light fruity scent makes it ideal to wear on a hot day.
This also has the unusual pin/nozzle on this bottle.

All I smell is pear soda and peony. Very light and fun scent. Doesn’t project, doesn’t last and is very affordable. I’m thinking it would make a great gift for a pre-teen girl.

Earth Born Strawberry Shampoo with a weird dissonant tea note. Nothing else of mine smells like this. Please tell me Versace for Women is not like Boum at all – I have been thinking that one over for a while now. If Boum had been done with a decent budget, it could have been amazing.
But Boum is cheap, so it’s not amazing. Just OK. Smells like you washed your hair. Totally agree with comments that it smells like dish soap, too.
Oh, please – amber, sandalwood, cedar? Not even a drug dog could smell those here. However, there is a lot of freesia on the dry down. Maybe the freesia is responsible for the soapiness.

Very fruity. But not for me. And doesn’t last long.
Put it on hair. It goes really long. But it gave me headache.
It was horrible. But I think I’m gonna use it sometimes.

I bought this as a light, refreshing, lingering spring scent and am hugely disappointed (but should know by now to stop blind buying!)
This isn’t meant to be an off putting review because the sweet, candy like vibe, which to me screams strawberry, with a layer of rose lurking underneath (an attempt to give it a more mature appeal?) is no doubt perfect for a young teenager, maybe as a first perfume.
I sprayed it a few times and that was enough for me to take an instant dislike to it. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t have enough ‘body’ for me, like in the way I prefer a strong heady red wine as opposed to a light, fruity rose wine!
I’m now using this as a bathroom spray, where somehow it is MUCH less offensive to my nose.

Well- this has been a surprise!
I’ve been looking for something youthful and springy that could function as a spring/summer transitional scent.
This is sweet, but not off-puttingly so. I mostly get strawberry, raspberry and peony, but the tea is quite prevalent on me (thank goodness!) and it’s not cloyingly sugary. I do definitely notice the rose but it’s not screechy. It starts off as a teenybopper scent, but it’s grown up in the time I’ve had it on. Fresh, clean and not overwhelming, but far better than a body spray.
I could swear this had citrus and melon notes. Far better longevity than I expected: I sprayed this three and a half hours ago, and it’s still projecting quite a bit. The alcohol smell took some time to diminish, which is the one minus. All in all a lot more impressive than I thought it would be. It stood out to me in the store perhaps because it was rather subdued and calm rather than a complete sugarbomb. It’s not mature, it’s not exactly sophisticated, but it is bright and clean and works well on a warm-ish spring day.

This would be so good, if the alcohol wouldn’t stand out too much. Then this would be Lovely girly strawberry scent. But the smell of alcohol is a bit— :/

I don’t know if I like this or not.
It smells like washing up detergent. Now, that’s not a bad thing….detergent is refreshing and leaves everything smelling zesty and sparkling clean.
So you may enjoy smelling like a washed dish.
I’m just not sure I want to be a dish, so the jury is still out on this one.

When I tested this in the store, I was excited because it smelled just like clean, soapy bubbles and that is what I was looking for.
Upon purchasing and wearing, however, it turned into a very chemical-synthetic, headache-inducing odor. Very unpleasant. I don’t reccommend for sensitive noses.

I can describe this scent in one word…. boring.
All these notes and i smell none of them, this is more like a body mist then a perfume.
I only own it because I received it free in a bunch of 2nd hand perfumes i purchased. Though it’s not particularly unpleasant, it’s very very very light, and synthetic. It smells just like laundry soap….clean….but laundry soap never-the-less. I may spritz this on my coats and sweaters to freshen them up a bit and maybe wear it around the house after my bath but really this is nothing to get excited about, and the bottle is super boring with a weird sprayer.

It’s amazing. ……. sweet fruity and girly. Does not last long though. For teens mostly though. Not for adult women. But I love it.

I found three of Jeanne Arthes fragrances in my local Walgreens recently. I was able to test them all, luckily. Out of the three, I only found one that I did enjoy. This was not one of them.
Boum for women fell flat on its face for me. It’s supposed to be a floral-fruity, but frankly, it smelled quite synthetic without any distinguishable notes. I re-applied it heavily, but I could not distinguish the fruitiness from it and it still reminded me more of an aerosol room freshener than anything else.
I could imagine the Black Tea overtaking Cedar while the musk swirls around in a whirlwind masking the fruits. Hence, no distinguishable notes for me. More of an unequal blending that spits out as maybe this, maybe that with no prominence to it.
This is a definite try before you buy.

I live in France and this is a supermarket scent for only 5 euros. It smells fresh and clean, like fizzy strawberry. I like the boum line , I usually buy them for gifts for my relatives in Manila. It’s more adapted to the warm and humid weather there since they’re all very refreshing!

I only smell raspberry in it..not very sweet to me. fades quickly. nice for a young girl for a first perfume.

I was near to buy it as ´´blind´´ but then I tested it and good that I didn´t decide to buy. I cannot get any fruit and tea in it. It´s too sweet but in bad, synthetic way. It smells like they use it in cheap, bad ingredients. Better to test before you purchase!

Boum is a pleasant, light and inoffensive fragrance. It does not smell complex or perfumer-y to me. I think that people around me would not even think that I wear a perfume when I have it on but that I just stepped out of the shower and have a residual scent of shampoo in my hair. I am not saying that it is a bad thing, as long as this is what you expect from this scent.
It starts off with a light, watery strawberry scent. This is definitely not a sugar bomb despite the top notes of sugar cane. The heart notes are pleasant but totally synthetic peony scent mixed with freesia and rose. The scent stays linear. I cannot detect base notes at all. The scent lasts for about 2 hours.
Overall score is 5/10. If you are into light, modern scents that smell more like abstract laundry freshness rather than the nature or strong perfumes than Boum could fit the bill.

Very pleasant ! With such a name + bottle shape i was expecting a FlowerBomb copy ( it’s quite known that most of their scents are copies of expensive ones), but it’s not !
It’s a nice fruity scent at the begining , fresh , not very sweet , and then there is peony mostly .
    Doesn’t last very long … :-/

I can’t really identity the smell of it, on my skin it smells like soap or detergent, I hardly smell sweet notes.

This was one of the few first perfumes I have bought for myself.
I rember at first I liked it, but after 10% was gone I grew tired of it.
It’s very sweet and fresh at the same time, but for me it lacks something to the point that I couldn’t stand it. I actually feel a little bit nauseous remembering it now. I think this must be that strawberry note that ruins every perfume it is in, ruins for me completely.
Still I think it’s a quite nice and not linear perfume for teenagers.

I agree with tane4ka, this is a sweet refreshing scent very much on the berry side, which makes me think it is targeted for teenagers. I haven’t finished my bottle by myself, I took the opportunity to make little bottles filled with this juice as Christmas gifts to teenagers. They smelled and said: “You have really got good taste!” and this made me smile – it is just perfect for their age, maybe it is their first or second real perfume. Buy it for your nephews or your nieces, it is cute indeed, young, fresh and sunny.

I had this one some time ago. It’s very fresh and juicy. Considering I’m not a fan of fruity fragrances I quite liked this one.
I remmber I got srawberries and berries, very nice and frefreshing for summer. The colour really suits the fragrance.
The only problem I had it didn’t last very long.
