Description

New fragrance for women, Borsalino Pour Elle, by famous Italian hat designer was launched in September 2008. This elegant everyday perfume in a simple, yet very attractive bottle with an organza ribbon, transfers all details of characteristic style and top quality which have been making the house of Borsalino proud for over 200 years.

Cedar notes with bergamot and carrot seed await you in the top notes; heart notes are composed of iris from Florence, Arabian jasmine and lotus are clean, moist and softly powdery. The velvety base of the composition incorporates warm notes of ambrette seed, white musk and gold amber.

EDP Borsalino Pour Elle is produced in bottles of 50 and 100ml, with accompanying products – 200 ml body lotion and 200 ml shower gel.

    amazing
can’t believe how good this is
i bought it like 15 dollars
and it’s so great that i wanna purchase more
on my skin it is pure jasmine+iris
    plus some woody note
it’s a bit dated but not so overwhelmingly old and suffurcating
    light and tender
it’s like a softer version of CK beauty but lighter and more powdery

I think I first discovered this on Amazon. I am a bit of a perfume adventurer and often buy perfume based just on the description. I am now on my third bottle and have found myself reaching for it in the morning more than any other perfume I own. It is just the most sublime scent; warm, sensual, elegant. It lingers beautifully all day and it makes me feel womanly. And if a perfume can smell Italian, then this is the one! This may finally be it; the one, my signature scent, my heart in a bottle.

I’m wearing this today for the first time in months (I have way too many perfumes and can’t get around to wearing all of them frequently!) and am reminded of how nice a perfume this is.
Today, and for the past few days, it’s warm and humid here in the UK and even though this might seem slightly overpowering in the beginning because of the slight pepperiness on first spray (even though it doesn’t seem to have pepper in the notes!) it settles down really nicely to a soft, slightly powdery, quite sexy, intimate scent.
It lingers for a long time, without being overpowering, and makes me feel very feminine and classy! As Mellhelly says, for the price it’s a really nice perfume and I think it smells so much more expensive than it is sold for on some of the perfume websites. Also, the bottle is quite simple and stylish, reminding me a bit of the Chanel Chance bottles, so all in all it’s a VERY good perfume that is actually under-priced for the quality and it smells more expensive than some of the expensive perfumes I’ve tried and is more enduring than some of those expensive ones too, lasting hours and hours on my skin even without body lotion on and I have dry skin! I also like the fact that it’s not so commercially available that every other woman out there is wearing it so I know that when I have it on I smell a bit different, which suits me fine! So, all-in-all this one’s a definite winner for me and gets a big thumb’s up!

A nice one, especially for the price, because I often see this discounted somewhere and even in local markets. It’s a good messy floral with prominent iris and maybe a hint of lotus flower. It takes a while to develop on skin, so you may be prompted to discard this before the drydown, but wait till the end, it’s quite worthy.
The woods in the base smell quite refined and not annoying. It would make a nice daytime fragrance with some elegance, according to your chemistry. It projects well and it’s longlasting.

Je ne sens aucune note fleurie dans ce parfum… Beaucoup de boisée et de musk. Très puissant au départ, mais l’odeur s’adoucit et devient plus poudrée. Légèrement masculin à mon avis.

I don’t normally like woody or floral fragrances. But something attracted me to this. the mix is very pleasant and mature. I picked this up in Rome and i’m not sure if it’s sold in the U.S.

Borsalino Pour Elle is a really nice, soft, classy perfume. I got a bottle of it in a swap and I’m very happy with it.
I was concerned about the carrot seed in Borsalino, which is an unusual note in a perfume and I thought it might smell a bit strange! Also, reading that it was ‘not for the faint hearted’ made it seem to me as if it would be overpowering and strong but it isn’t at all, thank god. In fact, Borsalino is exactly as described in the perfume description on here – clean, moist and softly powdery, and the carrot isn’t evident at all! There’s a little soft spiciness underlying, which I think may be the ambrette (who knows?!) which adds an interesting little twist to prevent it from smelling too commonplace a perfume, as nice as it is. I can’t compare this perfume to any other perfume I’ve smelled, which I like! I have a feeling it’s the kind of scent that a lot of men might find appealing on a woman because it smells so soft, feminine and a little bit intimate too! This gets a very big thumbs up from me.

There are many flowery fragrances out there like this one. It doesn’t “hurt” anyone and it’s just one more in the range that simply smells like a mix of flowers. Many will like it but it is nothing “special” I think. The staying power is not so good on me. For me it’s not my kind of scent either.
