Description

Bora Bora is a new fragrance by the house of Lise Watier, which cuddles the skin with exotic notes, reminding us of tropic regions with selected aromas of flowers and fruit.

Fragrance Bora Bora is a combination of passion flower, jasmine and rose, warmed with an exotic fruit cocktail and a warm trail of amber, vanilla and musk. Bora Bora is a fragrant passport to exotics!

This fragrance is available in a green flacon made of class, as 50ml EDT, 2011 edition.

Flacons of the same form also housed fragrances by Lise Watier: Desirable from 2008 and Neon Love Desirable from 2010.

I know this little beauty as Lise Watier’s, Vent du Sud.
Such a fruity, soft, vanilla, gourmand scent with a touch of strawberry. I love it so much for the Spring, Summer months. Sometimes I want Spring to come, as we are now in the winter months and I get a little melancholy. So I just reach for my bottle of Vent du Sud and I am enveloped with Springtime memories. Such a lovely fragrance, and so refined. Longevity is moderate and so is the sillage.

Now called Lise Watier Vent du Sud.
Quite sweet-smelling, bright, floral. Powdery in the dry-down.
A bit distractingly sweet for my taste, but a lovely scent.

Lise Watier has now changed the name of this to Vent du Sud, not sure when though.
Anyways, it’s a lovely sweet vanilla with just enough of a floral character that I don’t find it too heavy or cloying. As it dries down there’s also a hint of soft powder. And I love me some powder, so no complaints at all there :).
Sillage is moderate, longevity is 5-6 hours. Definitely more of a spring/summer scent, it’s starting to warm up here now so I can see myself wearing this more often now. Still have quite a bit left, but would not hesitate to grab a backup bottle if I find one for a good price.
    8/10.

Bora Bora has been renamed Vent du Sud apparently. This is a sweet powdery floral. It has a mild sweetness of a sugar cookie, mingled with florals and bit of fruit. The scent itself is lovely – sweet and floral, just as the pyramid suggests. I smell sweet vanilla, passionflower, kiwi, amber and a hint of musk, in approximately that order. The matching lotion is, however, not a match at all. It’s more of a sweet plasticky mess. I happened to get the matching lotion in a gift set, but it’s nothing to seek out and I’d pass on the lotion if I was getting this again, but I really like this in the EDT.

This is very synthetic to my nose, it starts ok, them goes through a bug spray phase. So this is a no no for me.
The bottle is cute, so is the name, but not the scent.

This was love at first spray the minute I tested this one random day at my local department store. After multiple tests on separate occasions, I knew I had to go to the Fragrantica community and find out the notes that made me head over heels in one spray. What do you know? Bergamot! Kiwi! Jasmine! Sandalwood! Vanilla! Uhhhhhhh! Ladies and gentlemen, I think I have found my fragrance for Summer 2013! (Or just a nice green, citrusy fragrance in general, I’ve been trying to find a one that I can work up to buy)
But seriously, Vent du Sud is so–incredibly– fresh, crisp, slightly flowerly and positively green! IMO, you can’t go wrong with this one, it’s casual and cool, and not sugary as others have said (nor tropical, but a definite citrus). Speaking of which, I’m hyped for the Island Fantasy by BSpears coming out this April, but I have a feeling it will be 10x more sugary than this, and I’m looking for a departure from my sweet floral-fruity’s in favour of a more green, clean version. Vent du Sud is most definitely it…!!!

It’s the typical perfume where I would say I like it but I don’t. I love the smell in the bottle… the fruity and citrus smell… but then… vanilla and sugar come on and I just can’t stand it. I think if you like sugary perfumes you might like this one. It’s just not me… but that doesn’t mean it’s not you 🙂

I have Neige which is another sillage monster as this BoraBora/Vent du Sud. I sprayed on myself and on paper which is in my walk-in closet. For a week now, I am greeted by a wonderful scent when I come home from work and my husband agrees. The scent is sweet, floral and tropical. There is none of that strong pepper(?) attack that I get from Pink Sugar or Sensuous. Sillage is about 2feet after 1hr. Lasting power is about 2-3hrs on me. FYI I like similar scents as this like Flowerbomb, Halle Berry Pure Orchid and Guess. I think I will have to splurge. 3.5/5

So I got sucked into buying this one after all the hype, oh, it’s sold out all over town, the clerk says. This is the last one, you know how they try to get you. Well, she got me. I took it home and then, blech. I mean, pinkmuzic is right it totally smells like plastic scented dolls, it’s nasty. For the life of me I can’t understand the appeal. And to be fair to the brand, I love Neiges and even Summer Sunset is nice. So I have the Bora Bora sitting on my dresser and if anybody wants it I’m up for a trade. Not judging, it’s just not for me.

Just tested this one today but I didn’t realize until I read the reviews that this one is renamed Vent du Sud….Anyway,I sniffed a bunch of perfumes yesterday and I wasn’t impressed but I did really like this one.
It has a very clean Summery Leafy green scent to me.
I’m definitely picking up on the citrus and vanilla as well.
I personally think its a great combination of notes if you’re a fan of citrus perfumes.
This is one of the only citrusy smelling perfumes that didn’t give me a skin reaction as well so theres another plus.
I’d only wear this one in the spring or Summer and only in the day time.
Not a bad price $60.00…and the scent has lasted forever.
    Nice!
I hate when perfumers change the names or the formula though…Its like changing a piece of art or History..Just shouldn’t happen, even if its for the better IMO 🙂
I’d recommend this one for sure though 🙂

I definetly recommend this fragrance for spring and summer. It is very similar to Amor Amor by Cacharel. AMAZING.

Got it this weekend and tried it on for a full wear today. I just love it! Great for summer, not too overpowering and incredible staying power(sprayed on at 7:30 this morning, worked all day then 2 hours of ballet and it actually got off only when I showered!)Sillage isn’t incredible but not too bad either. Starts fruity then the vanilla comes out softly for an excellent balance. Reminds me a bit of Pink Sugar, but toned down a bit on the gourmand and sickening sweetness. I’d say more in the range of BS Midnight Fantasy, which I also love. I also have Neon Love, but I actually prefer this one and its stays way longer. Enjoy!

I tried a sample of this today and I can’t stop smelling my wrist. It is seductive! I want it. And it has lasted all day long. Hasn’t worn off like others have.
I have Neiges and Capture de Rivier by Lise Watier and now I love Bora Bora too!!
