Description

Viktor & Rolf launched a new women’s fragrance called Bonbon in the spring of 2014. This fragrance named after the candy aims at women who celebrate the pleasure and self-indulgence, as well as moments of relaxation and enjoyment.

The fragrance comes in a pink bottle shaped as a wrapped candy. Its composition is signed by Cecile Matton and Serge Majoullier. The key note is caramel, surrounded by aromas of mandarin, orange and peach at the top; flowers of orange blossom and jasmine in the heart; and cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber in the base.

Model Edita Vilkeviciute is the face of the campaign, shot by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I have Curious in Control on one wrist & this on the other & they smell exactly alike. Neither have great longevity or sillage. I was hoping Bonbon would be longer lasting. I love In Control & would be willing to pay for Bonbon if it actually had better preformance. Ill stick with In control as it wont irritate to me to have to respray that since its less than $20 for the 3.4oz on Amazon.
As for reviewing the smell. I love the scent, its sweet, warm & kind of addictive. It makes me want to keep sniffing my wrist.

As a gourmand fan, Bonbon disappointed me. It’s just really soft and doesn’t pop. Everything is muted, it doesn’t have that wow factor. The notes look so good in theory but they don’t pan out. I didn’t really get much peach or mandarin, just a dusty/faint caramel. Really soft sillage with this also. I agree with Bonbon needing some light patchouli or vanilla to add some more depth to it. Cute bottle, I will give it that. I would like to see Olivier Polge or Dominique Ropion do a Bonbon type of perfume with these same notes. I think it would be amazing.

Oh my gosh I am so excited about this perfume!!
Britney Spears Curious In Control was my signature when I was young, it made me feel sexy. I have recently got very much back into fragrances and have tried hundreds, from celebrity to designer to niche. I tried In Control again and it must have been reformulated because it is a shadow of what I remember.
I have heard poor reviews of Bon Bon so I just let it pass by. I had a weird urge to just buy this on whim so I did. OH MY GOSH it’s absolutely gorgeous!! Sweet, warm, caramel, sexy.
Also, to me, the intense version of my old signature fragrance! I’m in love 🙂

Slightly fizzy, this smells like toffee candy lightly flavored with a few drops of orange–low on the cream but high on the sweet & sugary.
Performs with moderate sillage for the first several hours but fades to arm’s distance and eventually it’s a skin scent for me by the end of the workday.
It’s pleasant and inoffensive. A good office / elevator scent. A bit more expensive than other fragrances with the same kind of scent profile and for its performance. The bottle is a beauty though.

    Updated review:
Bonbon is sweet, pretty and log lasting. At first, you get a blast of sweet fruity goodness, which dries down to a sweet, fruity amber. The body lotion, on the other hand, smells like sweet orange hard candies and I think it is wonderful!!! The lotion, layered with the perfume is purely divine! It smells very similar to Ari by Ariana Grande to me. Ari is a bit brighter where Bonbon has the amber to make it a little deeper. This one grows on you…I initially dismissed it after I had tested it, but after wearing it alone for an entire day, I’m in love. The bottle is just precious as well.

When I spray Bon Bon I get an uncanny resemblance to DG Pour Femme. They dry down differently, but the opening and heart make them related. Afterall they share four of the same notes. However the differences between the two are enough that I love Pour Femme but don’t like this.
Pour Femme is pink and sweet but has an air of sophistication thanks to the prominence of orange blossom, jasmine and powderiness of heliotrope. PF is youthful in the way a trendy woman who looks young for her age is youthful. It’s classy and a bit quirky which makes it extremely likable. It’s perfect for women who like sweet scents but still want to smell elegant and ladylike. Bon Bon has no such redeeming qualities to me I’m afraid. It’s a syrupy sweet mess and there’s nothing special setting it apart. I guess the fact that there’s no patchouli or vanilla is one thing, but I actually think this could have benefited from a little earthy, green patch! I get what V&R were going for. Maybe it is marketed for teens. Teens of wealthy parents. Coming from a woman in her thirties who enjoys many types of fragrance, especially gourmands, this smells flat and stale and wears like a thick layer of syrup. I’ll take Flowerbomb over this every single time.
Maybe if they would have added something bitter or “spikey” to offset the overly saturated level of sweetness it could have worked. The bottle design should have tipped me off but I thought surely the quality would make up for it. Unfortunately in this case outward appearances are spot on.

Even though I love caramel as a perfume note and food as well, this did not impress me. Smells more like a stale, old caramel candy that went bad and has been sitting on that shelf for waay longer than it should. Very dusty smelling. Not horrible, but it is lacking smoothness to me. Wish it was creamier. And to be honest, for the price the lasting power should be waaay better. Cant smell this thing after 40 minutes.

This would be good if the sweetness was toned down a lot. This definitely smells like in control, which I already have. Way too sweet

I received a full bottle of this in a swap. I don’t get much caramel, which I was expecting after reading the reviews here, but some type of peach candy/liquor mixed with flowers. The candy/liquor part is louder than the floral. Sugary but also light scent. If you like sweet, gourmand perfumes you will probably like this. Overall I think this is a very nice scent, smells really good. The bottle is adorable.

I’ve had this in a mini for a few yrs. It was just sitting in my closet, not used because,I mean really..who dabs on a perfume.?..not me! Anyway, fast forward to yesterday after receiving a lovely full bottle in a swap! Its so delicious and what a sillage monster for me. I love it! Sweet and floral is how I’d describe it, caramel? Not really,it seems more sweet with some florals to back it up! Love❤️

Bonbon is a delicious caramel and peach blend! It’s not cloying but it’s very sweet and a huge plus is the lovely bottle. I wouldn’t repurchase this again though because the lasting power is so poor. It lasts between 2-4 hours on my skin and clothing. The initial spray is powerful but it fades too quickly. For the price there are so many other perfumes that have a similar character. I definitely recommend you to try this one out on your skin. If it lasted longer it would be a love for me, but due to longevity issues it’s only a like.

  12. :

Long lasting on my clothes, but not on my skin.

  13. :

Expensive. For your money, you will get a scent that isn’t over the top. Yet it lingers around you all day, until slowly, when you are ready to go home, it fades to a shadow. That’s a talent right there. The longevity and silage are everything you could ever want in a companion scent.
    Now, the scent………….
    Caramel? No.
    Chocolate? No.
    Creamy/Milky? No.
    Not gourmand at all.
The scent that followed me was a tropical fruit punch, with added sugar.
Later,it moved on to port wine jelly (jello) crystals.
    Mmmmmmmmmmm.
By the time I got home, it was at its base, still fruity, with a slight sweetness, that seemed to be white floral based, instead of sugary. It felt like a mature sweetness. Now that’s talent right there…..a MATURE sweetness.
I personally find the packaging unisex.
It’s a lovely, companion to wear with you.
And those talents are well worth the price.

Bonbon indeed. A perfume that lives up to its name, and not in a good way. I was expecting a gourmand decadent delight. I got a sweet synthetic scent. This bonbon is artificially flavored, artificially colored, hard crystal candy. The cheap ones sold by the bag. This isn’t the fancy posh caramel the bottle makes it appear to be. I am disappointed. The dry down smells like overly sweet shampoo and is quite nauseating at times.

So i try this yesterday at the local perfumery, sooo sweet creamy and milky. My boyfriend likes it tho. And what surprise me is, the scent to me is similar with the Milk & honey range from The Body Shop.

Wow.. I sampled this in Ulta this week and immediately was reminded of Coty’s Exclamation perfume, although this would be the luxury and 2018 version of it!! I spritzed a sample paper and it was in my car for a few days making it smell wonderful!!! I might need a bottle of this… It’s quite pretty, and nostalgic to me. I used to also wear Coty’s Tribe back in the day, which someone also mentioned a similarity too… I am definitely remembering Exclamation from this, but it could be close to Tribe as well! Well done fragrance, and I usually don’t like sugar-y scents!

Sweet caramel, creamy peach and fragrant amber. It’s bold and beautiful, and wraps you in its luxury. It’s a sugary delight with staying power. I feel like I’m in a candyfloss cloud.

This is lovely ! I brushed it off when it first came out and took Black Opium instead but this is like a clean caramel fragrance that doesn’t become too sweet . It’s like a grown up fragrance . It’s cheeky and full of joy . It’s fun and not serious but sophisticated. I’m happy I got a 30 ml for a good price . Thumbs up from me !
This perfume is beyond amazing , don’t know how I missed out on it . Full bottle worthy .
This makes me feel cosy and happy . Like a permanent vacation !

That awkward moment when you´re testing a fragrance, you know you don´t feel pleased with it – but everyone tells you: Oh, this is sooo good, this one is perfect for you, it´s the best perfume you´ve ever had! Well, this is Bonbon & I.
As for me, this is the sweetest caramel fragrance I´ve ever tested, a sticky mixture of sugary caramels & syrupy peach juice, I feel like I should be afraid of wasp attack when I wear it. And I feel like I was made of candy too. But I´m going to give it a chance one more time – because I still hope Bonbon will reveal its secrets to me.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

Bonbon is quite a bit different than I was expecting. I get more fruit and florals than caramel and it’s suprisingly bright and effervescent, quite woody in the far drydown, and not quite gourmand. I’d anticipated heavier and creamier. I also don’t find it especially similar to In Control Curious. I acquired it during the caramel craving that Juicy Gold wound up satiating; the caramel here is definitely more a supporting act. As a lover of super sweet scents, I like it a lot and am happy to have it, but I wouldn’t recommend it to those looking for a really caramel-dominant fragrance, despite the notes and its reputation. Definitely a great perfume, though!

  22. :

    3 out of 5

I love this, it’s sweet, caramel, delicious, but not in your typical run of the mill celebrity sense, in my opinion this smells it’s price. It’s sexy, flirty, girly and playful, and yet, also naughty. I love Pink Sugar and BonBon is like it’s older, fancier, more stylish, sexier sister (not to say that they smell alike, they don’t, in the slightest). I feel like such a babe wearing it.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

This is so dreamy, the sweet, soft, caramel and milky vanilla dry down is just perfect.
Its oozes comfort and the gourmandy smell cloud that followers you when wearing it pulls anyone close in.
Its so much better than Bon Bon Couture and although on the notes they seems to be more orange and citrus this isn’t the case when sprayed.
Its legit heaven in a bottle. It is more suited for fall/winter and it screams cuddles but I still wouldn’t shy away from using it in spring as it isn’t cloying or as heavy as Couture.
The best Viktor&Rolf perfume and this is my second fav perfume, second to Dior Hypnotic Poison.

  24. :

Strange, on my skin bonbon lasts and lasts (more than 8 hours) and has heavy sillage for 3/4 hours.I find it too sweet and too peachy (always a problem note forme, either I don’t feel it or feel it too much as is the case).

  25. :

    3 out of 5

So I finally bought this perfume on the sephora website during my vib 15% sale and I like it but not as much as I was expecting :/ This perfume is really weak and barely last a couple of hours on my skin. This is so frustrating because this perfume is REALLY expensive so I expected for this to last hours on me (and have great sillage).
I also agree with the person below who mentioned that this scent has a plastic vibe to it….the perfume doesn’t really have the plastic vibe but the lotion (I got a gift set) smelled like straight plastic and was so liquidy and messy.
People are comparing this to in control curious and quite frankly, I like that scent way more & I regret selling my bottle of it. At least you can smell that one on your skin after an hour unlike bon-bon.
EDIT 5/21/18: For some reason, I have been able to smell this more on me versus before when I wrote my previous review and I’m not sure why (but I’m not complaining because I should smell it on me since it was $100 plus dollars for the bottle). I like this scent but the lasting power just isn’t what I expected for such an expensive price and the scent isn’t really that unique compared to the cheaper celebrity fragrances out there.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume screams “Plastic!”. Although I love all the notes and I am a huge gurmand and caramel fan, I can’t find any deliciousness in the fragrance itself. I tried to spray it on skin, on clothes, but on me it turns out to be an artificial mess. Longevity and sillage are poor. So sad, because it is a lovely conception in a nice bottle, but for me is a big NO. And for the price is even bigger disappointment.

  27. :

When I saw that Viktor&Rolf finally made something without patchouli or musk, I order this as a blind purchase but now regret it. Beautiful bottle but it just doesn’t work on me. Too bad.

Save thousands of dollars and get Boum Candy Land by Jeanne Arthes. The smell is 95% similar, these are identical twins who dress the same but wear different colored shoes. Bonbon is cedar and resin mixed with caramel in the dry down, Candy Land is milky toffee over musk. They both smell of sticky cotton candy, mandarin, juicy fruit, orange blossom, sandalwood…I’m telling you, the difference in MINIMAL. Unless you’re a stickler for high end labels, or have a distinct preference for cedar-sandalwood over plain sandalwood…buy the Boum, not the Bon.
^ Cheesiest thing I’ve ever said in a review.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

Love this fragrance! Creamy, sweet and delicious with a distinct yet soft note of orange blossom. I enjoy wearing it for work without offending anyone. I was positively surprised. It is sweet without being cloying. In my opinion a very well balanced, modern, gourmandish classic.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I tried a sample and unfortunately, it didn’t really “wow” me.
I was expecting caramel and peaches but it was just a caramel from beginning to end.
It wasn’t as long lasting as flowerbomb and the caramel just overpowers the other notes in this fragrance.
Save your money and buy a Britney Spears or Taylor Swift perfume.
Edit – I’m trying it again and I can smell the peach more, this smells a lot like the reformulated Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur on me but sweeter.
Maybe try checking that one out if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative?

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Due to all the hype and my lust for a nice gourmand (I’m 21 and just started my perfume journey; so far I love and own NEST’s Midnight Fleur and Chanel eau tendre amongst others), I recently bought Bon Bon and the reformulation of Britney Spears’ Fantasy, and side by side they are in fact quite similar! I concluded that they are pretty much the same on initial spray but underneath their sweetness Fantasy is actually a bit more complex than BB in that it has a slight sour kiwi? note and muskiness on the dry down where BB is more linear and ends up smelling like caramel and some almost plastic peaches. Despite this, I do think that BB is more smooth and of better quality but if you didn’t smell these two side by side, one would barely be able to tell the difference (to me anyway). I myself would prefer to wear BB in the day and/or evening where Fantasy is more of just an evening due to its slightly sharper and muskier undertone.
Side note: I don’t like the way patchouli in Flowerbomb sits on me so I was quite looking forward to this pillar’s non-existent patchouli. Black opium and flanker Nuit Blanche were not stand out enough on me. LVEB is too sweet with patchouli sticking out at me and Mon Guerlain’s lavender note doesnt jive with my nosebuds.
Bon Bon on me has moderate longevity (I was hoping to roll for the long-lasting side of things but alas) and moderate sillage. I get personal wafts of this throughout the 3-4hr mark until it becomes a skin scent at the 5-6hr. This lasts nicely on clothes though! Perhaps a day and a bit (my winter coat collar smells yummy from the previous day’s 2ft away-general-neck-spritz). I would wear this more for autumn/winter but it can still can be worn for all seasons depending on how conservative or liberal you spray although I imagine it would be too cloying for those blistering sunny days. This is not cheap mind you! $65CAD for 20ml! Versus the $18CAD for 30ml Fantasy. Pick your poison.

  32. :

If you want to smell like a sweet, wonderful, caramel candy this is the perfume for you. Lasts all day and then some. I always come back to this so this must be my signature scent.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Strong and sweet from start to finish, the notes are layered so there is complexity but it’s pretty much the same scent from first spray to drydown. This has the same shampoo/fruit punch note that Marc Jacobs Honey has but with some peach and vanilla to give it more of a baked dessert quality vs the dry musky honey in Honey.
I’m wearing this layered with Katy Perry Killer Queen and it’s completely drowned KQ out, allll I smell is Bonbon. Two sprays are definitely enough for nuclear fallout-type projection. You get your money’s worth with this one. This is a great inoffensive gourmand if you have a sweet tooth and can’t decide on what you want to wear.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I got a tester of this one a year ago and when I first tried it, it was so not me. I wasn’t really a fan of gourmand perfumes and they are so popular nowadays that they don’t really convince me.
But then i wore it for a couple of days and found out that the fact that it was different and that I could smell it all day long, totally calmed me down. It is something in it that makes me happy. I love it because when I wear it, I feel safe, like I have a magic safety net all around me and it can really get me in a better mood. This was one aspect of the fragrances that I didn’t know of before.
So, I have fallen in love with it and I already have another bottle of it. 🙂
After this I went for a hunt for another gourmand perfumes, maybe I actually like it. I have tried some (also Prada Candy and Juicy Couture, which are really eew), but I am not impressed at all. There is something in Bonbon, very contradicting with me, but at the same time, so me. Like loving an enemy.
You won’t surprise with this perfume, it won’t give you a personality, but you can really feel warm wearing it. It is something sweet just for you.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Imagine a pink crystal dish overflowing with gooey caramels, nearby sits another smaller sparkling clear crystal dish composed of peach candies and candied oranges that make your fingers sticky as well as stuck in your teeth…along with a strong possiblity you’ll have a toothache later. That is BonBon in a nutshell.
Opening is very strong and sweet sharp peaches double dipped in caramel. The sharpness of this perfume had the potential to be headache inducing. One spray is half a spray too much for me and this woman only wears gourmands! Sillage is amazing, I can smell BonBon on my clothes days later in the hamper. To avoid giving myself a headache, I spray it in the air and walk through it to get that perfect amount so I can smell like caramel goodness all day. My husband also likes this perfume. He says “Mmmm….you smell so good!” I enjoy this perfume, but don’t wear it very often. There is absolutely no justification for the price tag, though this fragrance has more depth than Britney Spears Fantasy. (I sure as heck didn’t and wouldn’t pay full price). Do yourself a favor and get a sample first before splurging! This sugary sweet gourmand is not for everyone.

This is my favourite caramel scent it’s so warm and buttery and lasts ages. It’s far better than prada candy or viva la juicy gold

  37. :

    4 out of 5

I really like the scent but unfortunately I can’t justify spending $165 on a perfume that won’t last more than two hours. I will buy when the price is right.

  38. :

One of my favourites! It’s a very caramel predominate fragrance. At times I smell hints of chocolate even though chocolate notes are not listed. I feel the fruity/floral notes are there but only in a subtle way. If I could describe the scent in a couple of words I would say it’s a ‘chocolate caramel, woody scent’.
Best worn during the cooler months and at night time as I would classify it as a warm, cosy scent. Would not recommend this to be worn during the summer months.
A lovely fragrance that is long lasting.

  39. :

I was disappointed in this! I wanted to love it and looked forward to trying it. The sweetness here is not sugary or fruity. It is a sweetness very similar to Prada’s original Candy. It’s a slightly bitter and soapy caramel. It does smell nice but I expected something else, a more foody scent perhaps. Could not justify purchasing it as it is expensive and I already have Candy, which I can’t finish because it’s so boring!

  40. :

Found a gift set at TJ Maxx and jumped on it! At first, I was afraid this was going to be just another pink juice that I already own (Poison Girl), but it’s actually unique and I love it! This is Peach cobbler with whipped cream and caramel. Delicious! And that’s actually my favorite dessert. It’s nice that this has no patchouli in it (for a change). The closest that comes to this is Prada Candy or Al Rehab Golden Sand, both of which are very, very caramel. Bonbon ain’t cheap, and it’s evident as to why. This is very well blended and smooth. A new favorite!

Divine caramel. The aroma is a sweet caramel and peach bomb. Long stays on the skin. When I need a really cute perfume – I grab this one. It is not the smell of a seducer, it is rather warm and cozy, not aggressive, but inviting. Pretty, gentle aroma. The bottle is beautiful. Soon the whole big bottle ends and I have to get a new one, but it’s not in Bulgarian stores 🙁

  42. :

Delicious and delectable peach/orange at first that smells a little bit like pineapple with a layer of caramel. The fruit aspects of this make it almost tropical smelling but that caramel…that caramel is the star player from top to bottom, IMO. It’s sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. There is something about it that is reminiscent of Prada Candy, yes, but for some reason, I like this more. The fruit mingles nicely with the deep caramel layer.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

This fragrance is delightfully delectable. On me (at least) it’s a caramel-peach with a hint of orange. It’s not a beast-mode perfume like Kenzo’s Jungle L’elephant or YSL’s Black Opium, but it’s got good projection and longevity nonetheless. The scent holds quite well on clothing. On the skin…not so much. I always spray my body before getting dressed and then give myself a spritz or two on my clothes. The stuff I sprayed on my sweater is still going strong 9 hours later.
It’s sweet, but not cloyingly so. I get a nice whiff of it when I move around. Especially when I get out of my chair and stuff. I am quite pleased with this scent. It makes my inner gourmand fiend quite happy as one of my goals in life is to smell as much like dessert as possible. LOL. It’s warm, cozy and comforting. It’s what I imagine being wrapped in a warm orange-peach crepe slathered in caramel sauce would feel like. And, I’m totally OK with that kind of imagery. LOL. This is definitely a colder weather perfume. I used it at the tail end of summer and didn’t get as much depth of scent as I am getting now. It also didn’t last as long on my clothes. I highly recommend this to people who enjoy gourmand scents but don’t want to feel overpowered or overwhelmed.
P.S the bottle to me looks more like a giant bow than a bonbon. #justsayin’

  44. :

It’s not just overly sweet and sugary with caramel as the notes are easily standing out for me. I can sense the citrus hidden within the sweet caramel (a bit like marmalade). At its dry-down, the woodsy notes will be revealed, that’s when the sandalwood and cedar, guaiac being brought altogether on the stage, harmonized and pleasant feeling, no headache or drowsy at all, thanks to the experience with citrus notes before. This often lasts for more than 12 hours on my skin and for 2-3 days on my jackets

  45. :

⚠ THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR WINTER. The colder the weather, the better the scents. You even feel much warmer wearing this too

  46. :

I really, really love this scent. I’ve had it for a few months now and still wear it almost daily… It is so delicious and sweet, and lasts so long on my skin. It is quite sexy, men seem to really love this perfume… A very feminine, girly, juicy scent. The bottle is so so so gorgeous, and looks so cute on my dresser. I bring this perfume everywhere with me and will buy a new one when it runs out. Can be worn in many occasions in my opinion, day/night in fall, winter and spring and night time in the summer as I think this is a little heavy for the summer daytime heat.

I fell in love with this scent at first sniff ! I had to ask the owner what scent it was, then I blazed to the shop and bought it. Sweet and delicious, without being too dominant. A very feminine smell, I think women all ages can wear this. Perfect for autumn/winter!

  48. :

I had the exact same thoughts as the reviewer Floffles down there when I first smelled this and every subsequent wearing afterwards. Smells like a mixture of Juicy Gold and YSL Mon Paris. I actually dislike Mon Paris, it’s so saccharine with the fake raspberry note it gives me a headache (and this coming from a gourmand lover) but Bonbon is ok for me.

  49. :

V&R have amazing scents, this however is not for me. Far too sweet, I feel like I’m drowning in candy floss. Unforgettable, but not in a good way.

This smells just like Coty Tribe 1994 circa. I hadn’t smelled this in years!

It’s just a sweet peach. I expected something else, after reading some of the reviews here. I love sweet scents, but no attraction whatsoever…

  52. :

An unusual scent, BonBon is lasting on me, but low sillage, I am loving it but can’t quite describe the scent…

  53. :

    Love the ribbon shaped bottle
This is a cute dresser table ornament but it’s actually not as girly girl as I thought it would be especially the dry down and the ‘mature’ white floral notes. I’ve worn some celebrity ‘white florals’ before like Paris Hilton Tease, and Kim Kardashian Madonna Truth or Dare and this is right up there with those fragrances. So the bottle – like something out of the Victoria’s Secret bottles – is a little deceptive. Not a super sugary candy gourmand sweet girly perfume in the traditional sense. It is sweet in the floral very sophisticated way. Both young and older women can wear this and feel good about it.
Opens with fruit notes of very easy to detect peach or apricot with citrus all around it; juicy mandarin orange and bitter orange. Then there’s an orange blossom aroma which is essentially the same thing as orange but with white flower petals. The jasmine is front and center here, a very fresh and soapy white jasmine, like jasmine flower water in your bath. It’s a note that I actually do like but just a head’s up it is flowery strong and not some raspberry cotton candy kind of scent. Still it is a very nice fruity floral with a Viva La Juicy type of fruity goodness or Paris Hilton’s Siren, though not 100 percent like that one either. If you happen to be a floral fruity fan or fruity fan this is for you. The caramel note comes through almost at the end and it’s a big gourmand touch. I love caramel but here it is perfectly harmonized with the amber. Amber and caramel get along so well in fragrance! Deep and very good caramel almost like chocolate.
The dry down is a little like something out of another perfume. I smell the woodsy notes – mainly a cedar scent including the odd note of agar wood or guaiacum wood though it’s soft and not a heavy Oriental thing. It’s mostly an amber note that dominates the fragrance’s final stages. This is a clean amber and smells very relaxed, blending with the skin like sun tan lotion or a good body cream. Very good for summer and hot weather, for going out to a party in the June through August months or spring months. As a whole it’s a sweet very pretty grown up fruity floral with emphasis on citrus, caramel amber and white flowers.

I first heard of this perfume on YouTube. It’s gotten a lot of great reviews. Some even called it gourmand. So, I bought myself a sample to try it before I bought it. And I’m glad I did.
In my opinion, this isn’t gourmand at all. On me, this is very floral based. The fruits give it a fresh feel, which balances out the white florals. The caramel smells so soft, that it’s almost as if it was added as an afterthought. It’s a NICE caramel, but it’s really light. It doesn’t really live up to it’s name(bonbon means candy in Spanish).

Scent; Sweet citrus, juicy peach and loads of syrupy caramel and warm amber at the base.
Side notes/feelings; Bought for me by my partner for Valentines day in a beautiful box w/ scented body lotion and shower gel. Quickly became my favourite scent and I have repurchased many times (and will continue to do so). The notes really shine in the colder weather, Bon Bon can get overbearingly sweet and fruity in the heat. Best appreciated in winter or fall.
Silage & longevity; Silage is powerful, it radiates well if applied on pulse points for many, many hours. A distinctive smell. People will compliment you and associate the scent with you if worn often. Memorable.
Bottle; The bottle is gorgeous. Thick, smooth and heavy glass, hot pink tones and the V&R tag on the neck. Very expensive and girly looking.

Loving my bottle of bon bon as of late. I guess I was too distracted to all my other new bottles and never paid much attention to this. But I recently ran out of my in control curious (which is like my favorite perfume ever, top 3,) so I became more interested. and they really ARE so similar.. I was very surprised. But different enough where I need both perfumes, lol. . So with that said, I find it to be its own, just not very unique. Its nothing like Prada candy IMI. Oh, and I also found it quite similar to other favorites..al rehab dalal and rochas Alchimie, which is great!
As for bon bon itself… it’s an exploding bomb of caramel, lol. Verrry strong caramel. Many perfumes have caramel in their notes, but more often than not, I can never pick up or pin point caramel notes. With bon bon, the caramel is on point and very realistic smelling. Kinda makes me crave treats:). It’s very sweet, but still versatile for people who typically dislike sweet. It offers a peach, refreshing citrus (orange,) orange blossom and jasmine, and even some wood. White flor done right. Very creamy smelling, powdery and vintage smelling. The notes together are just a magical sexy yummy and high quality creation! flowerbomb is the perfect day scent… and bon bon is “thee” perfume of night owls and party girls. Bon bon is sultry and has sex appeal. It doesn’t fall in love, only lusts.. best to Wear it on a date, to a show, club, etc. good stuff here. also …if you want a cheaper alternative to this, do try in control curious. It’s cheaper and the better of the 2 tbh. You’ll love it!

For me, this is an evening perfume for a night out with friends or for a date. It’s very sweet and flirty and honestly smells delicious. The caramel note is strong on my skin along with the amber and it lasts around 6 hours for me.
