Warm, gentle, restrained, classy, very feminine wood – to me, something about it smells of stratospherically expensive natural-oils shampoo you’d get in the finest ladies’ hairdressers. A gentle and very ‘perfumed’ take on wood, there’s a lot of sweetness yet it doesn’t cloy. It’s definitely Tonka-tastic but the bean just gives it a sort of clean snuggliness.
Definitely unisex – I think if anything it leans feminine, though is wearable by anyone. Probably not for a very hot day; more of an autumn/winter thing in my book, but it is refined enough not to be overpowering in any setting.

Monochromatic fragrance of modern design.
It is a sweet wood with a spicy touch that starts fresh by the effect of the bergamot and stays this way throughout the development.
That sweetness so outstanding that brings the wood is caused by the sandalwood and the amber note. It does not enter into the genus gourmand, it is clearly a woody fragrance, sandalwood being the dominant note with a soft amber-musk finish.
The duration is good and projects well.
To give you an idea, it has the touch of the style of Idole EDP or Bentley Intense.

Yet another beautiful scent from this house. This is spicy but not fresh spicy. It is rather warm spicy/gourmand. If Burberry London for men was mixed with La nuit de l’homme by a nisch company it would smell something like bois secret. Good for winter evenings even though I find it quite weak.
Scent: 8.5/10
Longevity: 8/10
Projection: 7/10

Bois Secret is wonderfully unisex!
For some, maybe a little too much on the feminine side as it gets quite sweet.
On my skin it’s very creamy and balmy from the opening till the dry down. The bergamot in the opening lasts only a few seconds and is already sweetened by the tonka.
It dries down quickly to this lovely creamy sandalwood with LOADS of tonka and a ‘dusting’ of amber with a subtle warm spicy feel.
Longevity moderate, projection moderate to soft.
I really like it and would love to have it, yet somehow I feel that I would get bored with it quite fast… maybe because it’s so linear?

Personally I can smell the quality divide between bois secret and Givenchy Pi…but for that it is very similar as it dries down. I like Pi and wear it often at night unfortunately it has a odd bitter edge to it which cheapens what is a lovely creamy sweet fragrance this fortunately doesn’t have quite have that. The opening is different smelling more like a spicy sandalwood and nutmeg but then getting sweeter and sweeter which killed the initial interest in minutes. The Tonka beans in here, essentially smell like an almond/vanilla coming across too sweet and perhaps not to everyone’s taste.
I certainly don’t find this to be a masculine flavour except for sitting on a woody base, and was surprised to see it classified as such.
I wouldn’t wear this fragrance but if you like this sort of thing and are prepared to pay for it this Evody is a more refined and slightly longer lasting Pi.
Not for me.

Tried this today, and while the opening was mouthwatering, after 20 mins it started to remind me of another fragrance I once owned. Then it hit me… Givenchy PI. A giant tonka and vanilla cloud. So nothing original here, and more expensive stuff.

My first thought was that it was definitely not a masculine scent, but actually unisex, or quite a masculine feminine scent. However as it dries down, a sort of ‘aftershave’ quality to it becomes more and more apparent and I do not think I would wear it personally.
2 sprays on my wrist. It seems the composition here is centred around citrus and patchouli/tonka base. I personally do not get much woody, although the notes and the name- ‘secret forest’- implies there should be some wood here. It is only after I respray myself heavily I get to smell pepper and nutmeg.
I sprayed it on not a long time ago, and I can barely smell it on my wrist anymore. The sillage and longevity are not the best here. The scent is fleeting my memory as I write this.
It is a nice scent, a rather traditional composition,

I have to agree with Milkyway, this perfume would smell just as good on a woman as it does on myself. The initial application gives me pepper and spices, and then in the dry down, a smooth tonka bean, amber and sandal wood shaving sweetness slowly comes through. This isn’t a hit you in the face tonka gourmand scent like JPG Le Male. This is a smooth, classy scent that a 35 – 50 year old male or 25 – 50 year old woman should wear to a smartly dressed party, night out or meal.

151) Mister Bean
a very simple composition of 5-6 notes mainly around tonka bean. Clearly a mainstream composition, close of the great distribution. There were two times more work on the bottle than on the perfume.
Une composition très simple de 5-6 notes principalement autour de la fève tonka. Clairement une composition traditionnelle, proche de la grande distribution. Il y a eu deux fois plus de travail sur le flacon que sur le parfum.

what do you mean it’s ‘for men’??noo..sultry, deep, balmy and creamy, it smells perfect on a woman!…i may consider sharing it with a man, but will NOT accept that this was created with a man in mind..
It’s a nice creamy wood with some dried and fresh fruit mixed in..Very classy, but proceed with caution if you’re not sure about your woods.

Bought this perfume from a shop in Paris Jovoy it’s the best shop for rare finds, bois secret is amazing, deep woody and slighty sweet, a must try
