no woody, no spicy, just pure soap on my skin. not bad at all if you like to feel yourself sitting in the big bath in the middle of day

Another good one from Esteban! I’ve tried four perfumes from this line now, and so far have liked every one of them. That’s an amazing record. Bois Plume opens rich, sweet, fruity, woody, and musky-ambery. To me, it’s a slightly spicy, wood and tobacco-tonka scent. I hardly detect any floral notes at all, despite the fact that the description lists some florals. I guess if I had to characterize it, I’d say that it’s woody-oriental.
This is one of those perfumes that’s so well blended that it’s hard to pick out individual notes, but in a good way. It’s smooth, it’s mellow, and it’s seamlessly enjoyable from start to finish. Sillage is moderate, just the right amount, and longevity is moderate, about 5-6 hours. What it has to do with feathers, I don’t know, but I guess they had to come up with a name. Definitely worth a sniff.
