If you like smoky red wine with a pinch of metalic note with some cherry this is your perfume. It’s so well blended, you can feel the velvety quality of the ingredients from the first spray. This is my first experience with this house and I’m really imressed. The scent is absolutely unisex.
The opening is slightly smoky/woody red wine with a pinch of metallic note probably from the wine. I sometimes feel this metalic thing in some wines. The smoke effect comes from a dark woody note, woody smoke (!), it’s not the common smoke you feel in some fragrances. Also I feel that the cherry note is incorporared to the dark woody notes. It’s not as bright as in Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum for example. It’s a “dark” cherry like a liquer. As time passes more woody notes are comming to the surface. And there is also a playful fruity note at the background.
Projection and sillage are both moderate for the first 1.5-2 hours. I’d say this is a classy discreet fragrance, perfectly balanced. The longevity is abour 5.5-6 hours.
I recommend it for places where the fragrance shouldn’t be loud but calm and classy. This is not your familiar designer scent, it’s another level fragrance and its smell quite uncommon. Personally I would say it’s quite unique and realistic. Suitable for spring/summer and early fall IMO.
Even though I don’t like it, it’s of high quality ingredients but it lacks of projection. After 1 hour of the application and it’s already very close to the skin but not invisible. At this price point I expect more from a fragrance but it’s decent.

I am wearing my Bloody Wood sample now, I ordered it (among others) mostly because of the red wine, cherry, and fruity notes. I have NO idea the cost of a full bottle, but it smells cheap. But although it smells cheap to me, I have to admit it seems to be well-blended because I can’t discern one single note. Is it possible Lucky Scent samples are watered down? Or just plain old/bad? This is what I call a “nothing” scent. MEH!

I was pretty let down by this, admittedly im not really a drinker. But I suppose there is some sort of wine, or champagne smell to it. I think the problem is, what my nose is detecting that I assume is supposed to be representing the froth/bubble/fizz/or foam smell, kinda tickles my nose in the wrong way.. theres just.. something smells off about it to me. Some kinda dry aspect of this…. Its hard to explain.
Also from reading other reviews, this was not particular sweet on my skin either. I was expecting much more, was hoping for a lot more cherry as well.
Not horrible or anything, but sorta let down and pretty meh~ to me. Maybe it will do better when I try again another time or in a diff temperature.
Quite feminine to me, performance was pretty meh for me as well at least from my first wearing.

Beautiful! forest, woody, mysterious and bloody .. beautiful the initial opening of the perfume with rose and violet that add to the sublime notes of wine. Not a heavy perfume, but it’s there, wraps with a mysterious aura, and it is warm. Blood, slightly liqueur with a background of woods that, after a couple of minutes blend with the rest of the notes, revealing his character … .. Romantic and slightly resinous, really nice! I really like, and I think they will buy .. Unfortunately the sillage is soft, and longevity is average (5-6 hours), but it is a good scent that may want to try. Recommended for the cold months (autumn) especially.
Sillage: 6/10
Longevity: 6.5/10
Scent: 8.5/10
Overall: 8.5/10

What I could make of this I liked. I detected a dry red wine with some fruity bubblegum and faint woody notes, which apparently are cherry and sandalwood. I appreciate the attempt to create something original (an oriental gourmand to my nose), but the projection is weak and longevity is very poor. Your mileage may vary, but for me it’s not worth an investment in a full bottle.

Depending on your lifestyle, this could win an award for the most traumatic name in all of perfumery. Anyhow, that issue aside, this is a sugary goth-fruit bomb structured upon the aldehydes that pop up in other scents in the line. There are berries galore and a tone of sweet damascones. There’s also a note in there that I swear is tobacco — a dry, scratchy ashtray-style thing that pairs well with the berry overdose. The base is completely lame — sugary “sandalwood” deserving of maximum eye rolls — but it supports the top / middle of the scent as needed. Bloody Wood is almost comedically synthetic, but the opening is actually kind of fun to be honest. I could picture the kind of brazen individual who would douse themselves in this (demanding, commanding, domineering) without giving a single f. what anyone around them thinks. Loud, fruity, not very wine-y (wine is really hard to pull off in perfume), and sort of trashy in a playful way. There’s nothing subtle or sophisticated about this, but I think that works in its favor.

Perfumes, just like people, must be careful with what they promise to raise expectations they might not be able to deliver. By bloody woody color you already expect something intense and passionate and its description confirms it: inspired on a kind of wine, from what i researched, very classic, the Cru Bourgeois family of wines, Bloody Wood was made to be a ‘fragrance that extols intellectual and sensual passions’. Maybe it extols intellectual, since you need some brain exercise to try to find something exciting or really sensual on Bloody Wood. It’s a very neat composition that doesn’t match its color or description codes but it’s one that at least makes sense, from what i could find, from the notes on wine it is inspired.Bloody woody has a profile that at the base note end has a woody dry aroma, something for me between cedar, dry sandal and cypress. At the top end, it has fruity intense profile, fruits that doesn’t sound sweet, but green and with some acidity on their smell. Between them, it shows in some moments something a little bit floral and powdery that it’s a pretty link. But all this very neaty, well behaved, a fragrance that starts quite interesting and that in less than one hour looses almost its entire energy. To me, what it lacks it’s exactly emotion and sensuality.

This is a fantastic unisex scent for the creative artist. I don’t picture a CEO or a business man wearing this. It’s for the dreamer.
This fragrance is so unique it’s a rebel in its own way. It’s light-and-airy with a Coca-Cola fizz to it. It’s like an upscale version of Paco Rabanne Black XS but much milder and more mature. It doesn’t have any of the vanilla-cream that’s prominet in other rose scents like Bond No. 9’s West Side.
Bloody Wood is sweet-and-dry like an expensive red wine. It’s not powdery at all. The sillage and longevity are very poor. After 1-2 hours the scent is completely gone.
The smell reminds me of Grenadine syrup with a hint of sweet rose and a touch of red wine with a pinch of cherry. It’s an absolutely amazing and classy scent. I find that it’s easily wearable by a metrosexual male; however, considering the price tag and the poor longevity you might want to think twice before pulling the trigger on purchasing a full bottle.
I would place the age range between 35-49. It’s perfect for those cool Autumn afternoons and crisp nights.

In the same league as Cape Heartache as far as being quirky, odd scents that I love. I have never smelled a wine scent and I must say that this is divine. The fruity and woody accords balance it out to give it depth and adequate silage. The fruity notes give it a vibrant and uplifting character, making it ideal for spring and summer. One that both sexes can wear with confidence. The biggest drawback would be the price tag. If it were priced like Cape Heartache I would surely get a bottle!

wow…red wine and cherries! very apparent and quite potent! dunno how much i like this scent, but it IS amazingly unique! wonderful deep, dense alcoholic accord, kinda reminds me a little of ‘apple brandy – by kilian’ in its warmth and calm. lovely. need to try try TRY this one again…
