After exciting fragrances Rouge Royal, Nuits de Bourbon and Rouge Royal Elite, a new, dark blue, seductive fragrance Bleu Royal has been introduced in 2012. Royal blue color fits it perfectly and announced the opulence of aromas of the new composition.
Bleu Royal has been announced as ”the blue star that fell from the sky and turned into a fragrance”. Its composition is described as sensual, elegant and sweet, with bergamot, apple and orange blossom in the top. A heart plays with jasmine, lotus and violet, while is base is created of warm and creamy amber, sandalwood and patchouli.
BLEU ROYAL is available in a dark blue flacon in unique flacon. Assortment includes 30, 50 and 100 ml EDP bottles. Launched in 2012.

It’s a very pretty floral sweet patchouli scent, but it’s a little lighter than I prefer. For an EDP, that is. Lasts about 2-3 hours, with 3 generous spritzes. Once I applied 7-8 spritzes of it, and it lasted a bit longer and was projecting much more. I even got unexpected compliments on it. I forgot I was wearing it. I get anosmic to some notes, including patchouli, really fast. I like patchouli, it doesn’t bother me at all if it’s strong and overpowering in perfume, at least I won’t get anosmic to it too fast. (I even don’t consider La Vie Est Belle to be that strong and sweet of a perfume, as lots and lots of people say.) I know that some people were comparing Bleu Royal to Midnight Poison, now discontinued, and it got me interested in trying this perfume in the first place. I heard so many raving reviews about Midnight Poison, but I missed the train on trying that one myself. So MP and Bleu Royal do share prominent notes, such as patchouli, amber, bergamot. The floral note is rose in Midnight Poison, and violet and jasmine – in Bleu Royal. Patchouli-rose is quite a common combination, but patchouli-violet seems to be more rare. I do smell violet here, and I think that’s the note that gives this scent such delicate airy sweetness. I like the scent a lot, but being not powerful enough is why it’s a little disappointing to me, since the original Marina de Bourbon is such a beautiful powerhouse. I guess I expected the same performance from it’s more timid blue flanker.

I love this perfume so much, and adore the exquisite bottle and divine magnificent colour!!!! It’s the most stunning bottle I have ever seen!!!!! So elegant!!!
And the perfume is perfect!!!! I love the violet, and the patchouli, sweet, soft earthy and wonderful! It’s a wonderful combination of sweet, with a bit of fruit, and fresh rich and potent from the patchouli, amber and flowers, and beautifully aromatic from the sandalwood and jasmine – and the patchouli. A nice herbiness, a lovely rich fullness, beautiful florals and smooth soft lushness.
I think the perfume and bottle are both extremely opulent and elegant and feminine.
And it lasts for such a long time!! A long day, and I can still smell it softly in bed at night!!! Oh God I adore Bleu Royal!!! So does my husband, and I get compliments every time anyone else is near. It’s the most gorgeous perfume!!!! I adore it!!!!

Blind buy: What a wonderful scent.Soft and feminine with elegance. I love it. I usually pick my perfumes, and I have a lot of them, by the nature of the ingredients and how it all comes together. This one does not disappoint. I cannot imagine it being offensive to anyone. I do get the violet with amber but softly combined with the jasmine and sandalwood and patchouli. If I think of one word that would describe this classy perfume it would be “ELEGANT”. I am happy for my purchase and will put it along side the other special perfumes in my collection.

I like this one, but every time I wear it, I feel like something is missing. I get a strong blast of something vanilla-ish right up front, then it settles into a harmless floral on my skin. I was anticipating a depth from the amber and patchouli, but it just never materialized the way I was hoping. Perhaps I will try again when the weather changes.

Very soft warm and sweet, pleasant. Not a fragrance with huge sillage, I would say very office safe with its jasmine/sandalwood/patch/bergamot blended beautifully with warm amber, soft florals and just a hint of green apple. Very pretty and lady like but quite modern. I can see how one could get praline from this, but I think it’s the amber/sandalwood combo mixing with the orange blossom.
I would say it is a quietly happy fragrance, like a woman in a dress that is both flattering and comfortable, smiling as she attends to minor day to day matters. It’s warm but it feels summery to me, light and easy to wear on a warm (but not hot) day. Probably perfect for May and June.

A very nice surprize! A great Patchouli, Jasmin, soft warm Sandalwood & Bergamott mix. Lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin, but with this super niceprize I’m happy with Blue Royal Eau de Parfum
En fin överraskning! en skön Patchouli, Jasmin mjukvarm Sandelträ & Bergamott mix. Håller 3-4 timmar på min hud men till ett superbra lågt pris så är jag jättenöjd med Blue Royal Eau de Parfum.

Reminds me a lot of Carolina Herrera CH, but less sharp. The opening is very alike and I smell sweet praline, although it is not listed as a note in Bleu Royal. The development is creamier and the drydown is rounded than CH. Moderate longevity and sillage.
If you enjoy CH, try this, I found it even better than Mrs. Herrera’s scent.
I’ve not noticed the apple note at all. Maybe I felt the apple as praline?

Love this brand, the Rouge Royal fragrance is the favorite of a large number of women here in Brazil. The Bleu Royal is sweet, but the floral notes are strong. Very elegant.
