This is a beautiful and interesting aromatic and slightly sweet tuberose fragrance. It’s well executed. Oakmoss, tuberose and something sweet like mandarine orange swirls around in the middle. I’m not sure about how wearable it is for me but I’m quite in love with it. And the splash bottle would be the most beautiful piece on my vanity. Have you seen the splash bottle? No? It’s beautiful!

This is an interesting “old” hybrid chypre that I appreciate more everytime I smell it . It is so different from modern commercial perfumery . I would say it comes from a time when women were not supposed to smell of sweet fruity/florals .
It has a prominent tuberose to my nose but it is not a sweet fragrance . It is mossy and rather dry with a very subtle sweetness only in the background . A fragrance with no edges and which grows into a beautiful warmer and sweeter dry down towards the oriental side but in a very ” classy ladylike” way : nothing shouts here ! I find it a statement fragrance from a queen which can take for granted her inborn elegance and value who wears a fragrance created only for her . The more I smell Bleu de Chine , the more I like its ‘retro’ charm …

A vintage chypre, strong, it seems like a 80´s scent. It isn´t for all people.
