Description

Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire, is coming out in the spring of 2017.La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto plays on the theme of a darker and edgier version of the original, with notes of among others rose, leather, licorice and almond. The inspiration for the perfume is the contrast of style between a biker leather jacket and an elegant black evening dresses.

The new version will be available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum Légère. The nose behind this fragrance is Thierry Wasser.

This was a pleasant surprise! Designer scents usually don’t do it for me, but I was powerless to resist that gorgeous bottle. (Not to mention the trio of licorice, rose, and leather.) It can be had for fairly cheap online, so I felt confident in my blind buy.
Black Perfecto is such a sexy, interesting scent, and one of those rare mainstream offerings that could actually pass for niche. Because of the prominent licorice and cherry, I totally get the Lolita Lempicka comparisons (sorry, @sopke!), though I do feel this is a slightly “edgier” version. The leather and musk (which reads a bit powdery on me), make it the sensual sister to Lolita’s quirky sweetness.
Silage is decent, and it lasts a surprisingly long time on my skin. Even if it didn’t, that wouldn’t stop me – I’ll just throw a 30 ml in my purse for touch ups, and an excuse to show off that bottle!
Can’t wait for the weather here to cool down so I can pair this with my Schott Perfecto leather jacket and matching Guerlain black lipgloss. Much like the outerwear that inspired it, this fragrance is an awesome fusion of timeless fashion and modern edge.

It is suitable for any occasion if not being in a flowery mood. cherry, licorice and suede for me, the latter stays the longest, i would say till the very end 🙂 but I do get a bit annoyed to be compared with (with all do respect) Lolita Lempicka, because the Black Perfecto for me is all about suede, not the licorice. Unfortunately 🙂

darker and more patchouli and less fruity than the others but also lighter and not as strong; mainly patchouli and musk with some cherry, vanilla, underlying rose and almond more as it dries down

I was able to try this (instead of actually blind buying) and first thought that came to mind that I had smelled this somewhere. Then standing there at the Guerlain counter, I kept visualising a deep purple colour and then realised it was Ambre Eternel with some L’homme ideal thrown in. It is much weaker than both so you can imagine it is much tamer and the two aren’t very strong juices on me either so…
With all thee recent Guerlain products and with their packaging changes, I can’t help but wonder that the first few moments the fragrances really capture your attention but they’re barely perceivable moments later which is a shame because the quality is indeed there, in the very minute short-lived details that is. I strongly feel that they should have kept with their old mantra instead of following current market trends and I am sure they still would have done pretty well because they do have a huge customer following but these weak juices do make a person detract from the brand when you pay for something and want to get your money’s worth out of it.

I don’t know. I smell it on a paper and it’s really a good one – soft, not sickly sweet, the leather is lovely. I smell it on me and not impressed – and it’s not really that the chemistry would work against it.
Strong opening – too much of cherry and licorice. The cherry has some tartness to it but it doesn’t save it from smelling artificial. The tartness works well with earthiness from leather. Unfortunately the leather doesn’t offer much on the skin but earthiness.
After the drydown the cherry still dominates and kind of makes an impression of cherry coke spilled over some sweets.
It’s like 16yo chick putting on a black dress trying to pretend being experienced femme fatale. A bit comical at some point.
    To me 4/10.

This one reminds me more of Clinique Black Cherry then the original LPRN. I get the same Dr Pepper vibe. This is much darker then the original. Heavier. And of course being a leather lover I had to have this one and the bottle is amazing. Black Perfecto starts off very heavy: medicinal and syrupy. The cherry/almond/licorice trio is all I smell. After it settles for a bit, the leather and tonka become present. This is just beautiful. Another Guerlain masterpiece that I am so thrilled to own. The silage is tremendous, one of the most powerful I have.

I purchased this because I thought that it would be a slightly more interesting version of La Petite Robe Noir EDP. In a way, I was right. It’s a bit leathery, a bit licorice like and a bit darker than the original, but after a while that novelty wears off and what you’re left with is the same old LPRN. Fine if you love LPRN already, but I was a bit bored of it.

Cherry and licorice. I am not a fan. To me, smells more boring than the original, which at least was sort of juicy. Not for me.
In more detail: while the original is striking in its eccessive cherry drop scent (I actually find the original sexy in a “I am sucking on a cherry lollipop” way), this one has a muted cherry mixed with several other notes and the effect, for me, is a generic cherry fragrance.

This stuff it’s amazing cherry Tonka almond and leather soo delicious so beautiful and strong ( in beginning) but longevity sorry it’s not huge or maybe the protection it’s not huge but I don’t care I love and that s it

I was not too crazy about this one at first. It’s certainly similar to the original LPRN, but not as sweet, a bit more floral and perhaps even soapy. After a few wears, I definitely warmed up to it. It has a floral leather note with a bit of almond, which I like, and it does not have the same sticky sweetness of the original. This might be my favourite version of the LPRN.

I need to make a review impulsively… . I totally agree with previous reviewer, sweet Genny17. It has a vein of LPRN but I would compare with a next gem: Calligraphy Rose from Aramis. Not as at same fragrance but in a direction of jummy sweet rose. On my skin doesn’t project much cherry, or maybe is too artificial; almost no leather and a lot of patchouli in licorice, and some almond…
It’s not a fragrance I would wear, somehow too bold, dense, sweet… but I am happy to experience a fragrance it screams a Quality and Well blended.
Edit: it’s like a mixture of Lolita Lempicka and LPRN on my skin.

Well although not a fan of la petite robe noire, this one is lovely..I do detect a nice fruity licorice, very little leather, the overall vibe is warm, and pleasant…I only have a sample so I am not opposed to buying a 30 ml if I find it for a good price…not what I usually wear, but it would be a nice change..now, more a winter scent in my opinion..

Cherries? Licorice? Patchouli? I admit I MIGHT be anosmic (to a degree), but ALL I can smell is roses, roses, roses! Maybe I will find something else with cherries and licorice.

I WOULD TRADE MY BOTTLE FOR SOMETHING THIERRY MUGLER, MEN OR WOMEN. MESSAGE ME IF INTERESTED.
I just received this couple of hours ago, and man, am i mad at myself. I think at one point of my life i will have to start reading perfume reviews with a grain of salt, because my perfume excursions are getting both costly and repetitive.
So, reviews are calling Black Perfecto dark, sexy, mysterious and a masterpiece, amongst the other, countless adjectives. So, naturally, i fell for it, and for the stunning bottle too! And this is not the first time either, as i recently spilled some big dough on Mon Exclusif, hoping for a sock knocker, but receiving a safe, pretty, and typically Guerlain perfume. Not that the packaging isn’t pretty, but that is the entire different story all together…
I anxiously opened the package containing my precious and long coveted Black Perfecto, sprayed one spritz on my left wrist, and what do you know? Who shows up? La Petite Robe Noire Couture!
I was instantly crushed. I saw the comparisons to LPRN, but not to LPRN Couture, which is why i went with BP. I don’t own the original LPRN, so i thought i was safe.
When you look at the notes, LPRB has cherry, almond, bergamot and red berried listed as it’s top notes.
LPRN Couture however has raspberry and bergamot as it’s top notes, so of course, i figured those two must be quite different. Instead of purchasing LPRN, which is considerably cheaper than Black Perfecto, i went for the dark, sexy, mysterious masterpiece and received LPRN Couture knock off!
I have to admit though, the opening of Black Perfecto is almondy, where LPRN Couture starts off smelling like raspberries until it dies very, very slow death, still smelling like raspberries (not that i am complaining). But that almondy opening of Black Perfecto lasts entire two minutes, and from that point on it switches faces and turns into LPRN Couture’s younger, weaker brother. And what a shame that is, because it’s the opening that is the best and only good part of BP. An hour later i could not even remotely smell Black Perfecto on my wrist. LPRN Couture is still going strong, 4 hours later on my right wrist, after i tried scrubbing it off while doing dishes.
All in all, disappointing experience, and it’s been happening a lot lately with Guerlain. There was so many other perfumes on my list i could have gotten, but hey, at least the bottle will look stunning next to my my Chanel Coco Noir. Live and learn. And read reviews cautiously.

Stunning, dark and complex scent. Amazingly different composition focus and marketed for women, I find it very attractive on a female, yet I envy this fragrance for myself since I find it masculine enough.
Longevity is great, overall performance is very good and whole presentation of the box and bottle is just minimalistic, but yet so up class.
    Black Perfecto indeed.

Sampling, Really, really good, like the beautiful sister to Mancera Wild Cherry.
He, Wild Cherry, is dirtier, She Perfecto, is much more pleasant at application, a smoother feminine edge, both are awesome dark cherry masterpieces of same genre.
A big love and yes, yes from me. ❤

@mychinarose: thanks for your copy and paste, but you haven’t even added Monsieur Guerlain’s statement to the correct perfume.
This is Black Perfecto, which is an EDP. Not an eau légère.

Darkness all around – dark red cherries, crimson roses, blackberry marmalade, raw almonds, bittersweet licorice with tarry & chocolate undertone.
    Gourmand but not too sweet.
    Sexy but elegant.
For ladies with hidden rebellious desires.

I’ve never been attracted to La Petite Robe Noire and its flankers – there is something about the dress illustrations on the bottles that I find a tad too stereotypically feminine, too ‘girly’, a bit tacky. But, I saw this on sale, loved the look of the notes, loved the jet black bottle with the studs on the neck and went and blind bought it! My word, I am not disappointed: Guerlain nailed it. It’s a dusky rose goddess!
The first wafts are a black cherry jam and dusty rose, sweet and powdery. There’s also the almond hitting you straight off the bat, which gives it a wonderful addictive depth – I couldn’t stop pulling the collar of my jumper over my nose at this point, walking down the street, probably looking a bit deranged. After a while, the almond becomes a subtle praline background, and black leather comes forward – a subtle smoke, not as strong as in Shalimar, for example, but definitely a detectable Guerlainade at this point. The rose continues throughout, rich and luscious with the black cherry note singing alongside.
I’m surprised how much I love this, since I’ve heard other Guerlainistas decry it for being populist, inauthentic, lacking in character, and such stuff. Nonsense in the case of Black Perfecto – it’s a deep, dark beauty. I’m seriously impressed.

Masterpiece Masterpiece Masterpiece!!! What else can I say about this Masterpiece? My husband gave it to me for Christmas since La Petite Robe Noir is one of my favorite perfumes of all time and it was my number 1 on the list to buy:) Love, love, love!!!:):):)

  22. :

It is certainly a perfume for cold days. A more intense version of the original. On my skin is also the cherry, the leather, the rose and the sweet sweetness. the perfume has a great long-life. And the bottle is BEAUTIFUL!

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet. Almondy. Wintery. Sadly no leather for me.
Just like the original LPRN, it takes the right woman and the right mood to pull this off. Quite unique. A statement perfume. Do not blind buy.
It vaguely reminds me of an essential oil my grandma used to wear when I was a child. I can’t put my finger on a specific note, but this scent has an oriental “oily” vibe to it. For this reason, I find it very soothing and – as strange as it may sound – feel that I would trust anyone wearing it..

  24. :

    4 out of 5

This opens with a heavy cherry note that almost made me nauseous. Not a natural cherry, but a more cosmetic one. It fades after half an hour and the rest is powdery, woody, sweet. More of a winter fragrance than a spring one. Silage is moderate, longevity also moderate.

  25. :

Tested it today in store on skin and clothes. I think the ad is quite accurate – leather and roses. It is sorta like Mathilda (Natalie Portman) in Léon movie (1994) – she is very young, but tries to look older and behave like adults do.
This is not to say I dislike this fragrance. It is just that despite my firm belief that fragrance doesn’t have age categories, Black Perfecto is about to convince me otherwise. I feel it would sit best on girls in their 20s.
The actual LPRN base (licorice+cherry) is so strong that it is hard to perceive this flanker as an individual fragrance. I feel not even musk and leather, but rather some incense base, a thin layer over LPRN.
If you are a smoker, consider Black Perfecto – it mixes very well with cigarette smoke, making it smell like part of fragrance.
Overall, if you like LPRN – try this one, it shouldn’t disappoint, and if you don’t like the original one – you are most likely not to like this one.
As for me, I expected rose in this flanker most of all and unfortunately I didn’t get much of it (maybe just soap, but not true rose). I like smelling LPRN on someone else, but I wouldn’t consider buying it for myself because on my skin it becomes saccharine sweet, like any even remotely sweet fragrance. Black Perfecto is same – overly sweet on skin, pleasant only on clothes.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I wanted to love it, I mean – look at the bottle, it’s perfecto! But it is too soapy on me :((( Must be the rose, and musk. Apart from that I’m getting some blonde woods and on top only a brief moment of tea, but it adds to the overall soapiness :/ No cherries on me in this one, in the edp – yes, here – nope.
And it’s a cold evening – it should be perfect.
The performance is so so too – less detectable than the other versions, no one noticed it on me. And it only lasts 3 hours on me (I do not have problems with scent longevity)

  27. :

    4 out of 5

La Petite Robe Noir is my preferred daytime fragrance so couldn’t wait to try the more grown up Black Perfecto. It does not disappoint. Less of the overly girlish top notes more of a sensuous kick right from the start, I find it utterly lush with one huge caveat….sillage almost non existent! I did a sillage test before going to bed with Perfecto on one wrist and LBD on the other. Next morning I could still faintly smell LBD but not a whiff left of Perfecto. considering the (IMHO) disgusting ‘Mon’ I tried as a teter lasted through being tried to be scrubbed off under running water, I find the sillage issue the only problem in what for me is a perfect fragrance.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

I really love the entire LPRN series (in fact the 2012 EDP is my signature) and so I had to track this flanker down. It is very similar to 2012 EDP but less sweet and there is more rose in the heart. I actually smell rose in this one, whereas in the 2012 EDP it is more blended into the other notes. I do smell leather but it’s not a sweet leather–a little tougher than that.
For sweetness, this is the least sweet of them all, then LPRN Couture, then 2012 EDP, then LPRN Intense. (Not counting the EDT or Eau Fraiche because those are so different from the EDPs).
Anyway, if you liked the 2012 EDP but wished it were less sweet and more floral, give this one a try. It definitely smells like a La Petite Robe Noire, though.

I think that the girl who wears this little black dress tonight had sprayed some Shalimar Parfum Initial before she went to her office this morning….

  30. :

    5 out of 5

Yes! This scent is just wonderful. It reminds me of Petite Robe Noire but it’s less syrupy and more grown-up. It’s a little dark but nothing to be afraid of. Cherry is a very dominant note which combines well with the strong leather and licorice. This combination is both luxurious and tasty. Almond and rose give it a soft, creamy dimension. Tonka deepens it. Patchouli, musk and tea create of lot of dept. I’m in love.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

The perfume opens with a juicy fruity cocktail and a creamy almond. It is a nice mixture between fruits and almond, bright and brilliant as a glitter dress. It has many facets. Interesting and delightful with a nutty touch.
After this sparkling opening some tiny shades of roses make their presence felt. It is not a strong odour, but a soft, delicate one. The leathery note can be felt all the way, from the beginning till the end. It is just a touch of the leathery smell, not a strong note with personality.
The deeper we get in the heart of the perfume, the more it smells like La Petite Robe Noire. All the different notes disappear and there is only the smell of LPRN. It is like LPRN would take off her leather jacket and stay in the dress.
The base of the perfume has tonka bean and the nutty sensation is more profound now. Creamy, sweet and nutty, this is the remaining effect. This is what I feel when I wear Black Perfecto. I don’t see a black leather jacket. I only see a nice ‘robe noire’.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Better than the original, bit more powdery and mature but still nothing special. A perfect black scent is much darker for me, such a misuse of the nice bottle and the nice name

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Nothing particularly interesting. Faint licorice, though, which is a lovely addition.
The leather is dark, kind of like a fake black suede. A big serving of ‘eh’, sadly. Nice, lovely even, but ‘eh’ considering the fact that it smells almost exactly like 2 of the LPRN fragrances… neither of which I’d buy a bottle of to begin with. Loved the Intense and Eau Fraiche, though.
It’s soft, sensual and perhaps a bit ‘biker chic’ but, all in all, it’s not all that different. Really well blended. Maybe more of a woman’s scent than the original LPRN…

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Sickly sticky-sweet and with an overbearing edge that I can’t deal with … I got no real leather at all, just swirls of aldehydes and rose and cherry, all swathed in a choking cloy-cloud of fake femininity, with the ‘darkness’ only really present in its sharpness and refusal to quieten down.
It’s probably far more me than the ‘fume in this case – but I have loved other ultrafemme, even fruity things, in the past, in the teeth of my own expectations. But this one is just way too engineered and not nearly natural-seeming enough to pull off the feat of winning me over. This one’s a definite no from me, not even on a very girly day. Just too screechy by far.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

Definitely belongs to “La Petite Robe Noire” family. Very close to the EDT but only sweeter. It is a very nice fruity-rosy-leathery combo, very well blended. I do not get any licorice at all. The cherry is certainly not artificial, just delicious. It is very nice and soft (I must say after 3 applications, it stays mostly a skin scent, that is my only disappointment). Longevity is rather on the short side (couple hours, max). It is sweet but not overly sweet. Just a very well done perfume. A must try! That said, I won’t buy a bottle as it too close to her older sisters (EDT-EDP).

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Bliss in a bottle! Cherry-rose-almond lukhum on a woody-leathery backbone, smoky vibe, 8 hours longevity, calming effect on the senses… Simply beautiful!

  37. :

    5 out of 5

I wasn’t too sure about this one on first sniff, but it has truly grown on me. I’ve not been one to enjoy leather notes in perfumes, but this one is done so well I can’t help but love it. I have a full bottle of it, and I’m real glad I bought it (it was a blind buy). I have not really gone for any of the other Petit Robe perfumes or flankers. I remember the original one when it first came out, it was heavy stuff! Too heavy for me. Now though they seem a lot lighter across the board, after reformulations and this Black Perfecto is something different and enticing. The leather and the licorice show up in the opening along with the cherry and it’s well balanced. The dry down is cherry heavy, but not too sweet. It’s really rather good, I recommend a test. It’d be just perfect for winter, cool snowy evenings and jumpers, skinny jeans and biker boots!
Longevity a good 5 hours, sillage is good too.

  38. :

This has been love at first sight !! I love it!! It’s sexy and nocturnal, for me, it does not like the 2009 version. Definitely for the night. I can smell the tonka bean, I love it, and some leather, the powder is very subtle here. Another Thierry Wasser to my collection!

  39. :

    3 out of 5

Lovely in its drydown, the cherry mellows, melts, becomes jammy, and it lasts forever on sweaters and foulards. It’s nice to keep on smelling its traces even after days. Unfortunately I wasn’t so fond of the sour balmy top note, so I didn’t reach for it quite often and hardly wore my little 15 ml up. Won’t repurchase.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

literally just got cherry and balmy powder, had I not known this was a leather fragrance I wouldn’t have been able to pick it out. This bulldozes the complexity of the original with that powder, and that is kind of a disappointment because I feel i’ve smelt it a bunch of times before. The odd green/fresh facet of the original is also lost until the far drydown where the tea/tonka/cherry musky skinscent comes out–although barely there. i’ll blame it on my chemistry, but it was a disappointment.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Love the bottle design, modern and a bit cool. The scent itself smells familiar and completes the LPRN-line. Less sweet as its predecessors and beautiful leathery, though I don’t get much rose.

  42. :

Little black leather dress on Bakewell tart. That’s it.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Fragrantica should add a “meh” option along with love, like, dislike.
For me, this is the classic “meh” perfume: it’s not bad at all, but… I can’t explain it, it’s like the stereotype of a perfume. I don’t see this great personality, I find it rather generic.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

Fabulous. A light, jammy and less powdery version of the original. The cherry is sweet and syrupy but not overbearing and there is a slight shampoo or high end body lotion vibe to this ( probably the rose), which only makes it more wearable. A wonderful surprise.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

On me it is a mix between powder, something slightly bitter and overripe fruit. It has a strange soda vibe. I got two samples of it, but i think i will throw the second away. I suspect it will soon be discontinued, because i really can’t imagine this being a crowd pleaser. I also can’t imagine an elegant, rocker woman wearing it, like they tried to convey in the advertisement. Maybe a rocker wannabe, but a real ass kicker, probably not.
I can’t say this is the worst perfume I’ve ever smelled, but it is bad. It is really weird. Weird as in weird, not unique.
Overall, not something i would recommend.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I was wearing Black Perfecto yesterday and found it smelling identical to the original La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum that came out in 2009 but less long lasting. It’s sweet, fruity, dark and spicy with synthetic leather, woody and musky undertone.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Nice for everyday wear, unlike the original which is definitely evening!

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I think I have finally found my dark and mysterious cherry fragrance. I was really worried it would just be another LBD. A sickly sweet confection.
Nope, the leather leaves girly sugar juice far behind. Cherries, leather, almond and a dash of vanilla/licorice. This is for arty and sophisticated ladies.
    Moderate sillage and longevity.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I love gourmands but the LPRN line just does not cut it for me. But alas, I do love this one. I received a sample when I purchased Mon Guerlain. It is not laden with that sickening something that LPRN has got. I smell the Cherry, Leather and Rose mostly. I cannot wait to get this one too for Fall when it is cold, raining and I have to be running about. Very nice!

  50. :

    4 out of 5

Black Perfecto has a Bohemian quality that is out of this world extraordinary. I love Patchouli and it is here, though not in an extreme amount, mixed with the prominent Cherry, Leather and the most delightful Rose notes.
Upon first spritz I get a bitterness that lasts for only a half a minute. I believe it to be the Black Tea and Sour Cherry top notes blasting me. The Leather and Patchouli are quite noticeable too at this stage and for Black Perfecto’s entirety.
As BP starts to develop I start smelling the creamy Almond and a slight Powdery note which I believe is the Tonka. The Rose comes in with these notes and it is as stunning as it is in LPRN. Then I pick up on some licorice which is not over the top but which adds a spicy dimension. The Musk is faint but it adds a sensuality that is soft and pretty.
The dry down is very similar to LPRN. Black Perfecto has more of a sultry essence though due to the animalic Leather note. It is calming and uplifting yet there is an intrigue to this very well made juice.
This is a sophisticated Greenwich Village interpretation of the color black not the biker babe type. I think of Bohemian types and Artists when I smell this. Personally I love it.
The black bottle is gorgeouusss! I rarely talk about bottles because I believe the juice’s integrity should be most talked about…but…this is just a stunner! It is tough looking yet it has that chic feminine look. Very classy! Very Guerlain!
The longevity of this masterpiece is extremely long on me. I smell it after bathing after a full day of romping around. The sillage is huge for the first hour and then it is moderate. My love loves this on me and I do too! I give Black Perfecto a 10/10+++

A very interesting version of La Petite Robe Noire. The top notes are very very oriental smelling. Leather is very dominant in the top notes, but later it changes and smells like the EDP version of La Petite Robe Noire. It is very nice, I can sense sour cherry, a little bit licorice, almond and musk it the middle and base notes. I think I like the opening notes the least in this perfume, so it needs some developing time.

  52. :

It’s not out in the UK yet, but they had it at Luton airport and I’m now wishing I’d bought it, it’s a stunner.
I’m not familiar with the original release of LPRN, and I’m not keen on the current one, but this iteration is superb. I absolutely LOVE that cherry note, it strikes a beautiful sour and tart contrast with the sweetness of the other notes, and it lasts a long way through its progression. There’s nothing jarring or out of place in this fragrance, it is so smooth and harmonious. It smells of pure class and is worthy of Guerlain’s heritage.
    Amazing bottle too.
Can’t wait for its full UK launch!

I tested this today at David Jones (like below, surprised to see it so soon in Australia!).
Paper spray followed by a skin test.
It opened with a strong synthetic cherry note, with a warm and sadly fleeting rose in the first 10 minutes. Within half an hour or so it had settled from a full on cherry bomb into a fizzy cherry-scented bath product.
Stunning bottle that didn’t deliver its promise, IMHO.
If you’re not keen on cherry, I don’t think I’d recommend this, and certainly not as a blind buy.

I’ve just tested this at Dufry @ Belgrade airport. To be honest, it is nice, but not all that different from the first wide release (2012). I had had that first LPRN, but I found the cherry note very tiring, so I gave it to my sister. I was expecting to get more leather/almond/rose here, but no such luck – sour cherry is still the strongest note. It’s a very potent juice, a true ch-ch-ch-ch-cherrybomb!

This will be a hit because it really can attract a new audience that isnt unto the super sweet fruitchoulis. In Perfecto the cherry is sweet but not heavy cough syrup like. Its like the leather is dipped in a dry cherry almond cordial solution. The rose peeks thru the opening to mix as well as licorice nuances. Tonka keeps this sweet and patchouli and musk anchor the base.
Its delightful if you are new to the lprn line. This is my first lprn that seems to match a sophistocated aesthetic. I dont get a huge noir vibe.. But sillage is low to moderate and longjevity is very good. Lprn enthusiasts will love to have this in their collection and those that thought lprn might not be for them..give this flanker a try. A well done fruity leather patchouli scent. Do note that if you spray this on clothing its cherry scent will linger until you wash it.

I tested this one in David Jones … also was surprised to see it in Australian stores so soon. I was super impressed. Very warm and intoxicating and different. I’ll wait until Lui comes out before I make a decision to buy.

Okay… this is gorgeous. While I love LPRN, I have tried the intense and now this… the intense was meh… too much patchouli for me and blueberry too faint. And I like the cherry… so I was really excited about this. The leather and cherry smells… rich… kind of reminds me of how shalimar dries down on me, minus the vanilla, plus cherry. It wears much closer to the skin on me than LPRN… and on my skin, less sexy and more decadent cozy… and it’s amazing in that sense. But I think I still love LPRN for the sexy spicy anise… and multifloral aspect… love iris and violet. Highly recommend… but it won’t take the signature spot for me. The bottle is absolutely perfecto though.

I was very surprised to see it already on a shelf in David Jones (Australia) and couldn’t resist a purchase. It was a blind buy as there were no testers around so I grabbed a 30ml bottle. No regrets here – the fragrance is stunning! Very cherry with some leather undertones, sexy, warm and yummy. Not sweet at all yet smells super cosy. Win win☺️
Edit: I’ve worned this a few times and I wish it had a better longevity (only 3-4 hours) and performance on my skin. Much of a skin scent on me, sighs.

Bravo, Guerlain! This is indeed perfection, and the La Petite Robe Noire version I’ve been wanting to find (and from what I have been told by others, it is the very first LPRN, which was the one I missed out on, when it was available in stores). From the beautiful black bottle to the potion inside (which I think could easily be worn by men, I would love to smell it on a man’s skin), to the way everything is blended and balanced, I think it has been a long time since a fragrance impressed me so much on the first try. This one is not sweet/sugary or marshmallow-y. There is a realistic tart cherry balanced with a bouquet of ripe, dark red roses (and the roses are fantastic! they don’t crawl up your nose and get stuck in a scratchy clump, and they don’t turn soapy, like a lot of rose scents seem to do). I smell a balanced tart cherry/rose ballet on my skin, with support from leather, a patchouli backbone (and it’s not heavy, but present enough to make Perfecto friendly for men to wear), and a touch of almond. I can’t believe how beautifully balanced this is! I could bite into this. Here is an additional bonus: the drydown reminds very strongly of French Kiss, but a bit less powdery. Perfecto is dark, sultry and confident. Perfecto isn’t a loud fragrance, but she projects comfortably for about 5-6 hours and then you get a French Kiss skinscent drydown. I hope this one will be available worldwide, everyone needs to have access to it, it’s THAT good. This is exactly the LPRN I have always wanted to find. If this is indeed a reissue of the very first o
