Still wondering if this ever existed…
rustam333 – :
Just looked up the fragrance ScentedRomeo mentioned and that in fact came up (‘Oud Orchid’ by SUROORI inspired by TFBO sold in the Middle East launched in 2012) & the bottle does look just like Black Orchid bottle with the exception of the cap being gold and a bow placed around the base of the cap (Google ‘Oud Orchid’ to see)..maybe this is the alleged unknown TF release I think there was a bit of a mix up..either way this needs to be edited or taken out if it doesn’t in fact exist..Just strange it was released in 12..but no one ever heard of it or owns it..
elio – :
There’s an EDP that’s marketed in the Middle East coming from the UAE and it’s called Oud Orchid By Suroori and it’s an alternative to Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. The bottle even looks like Black Orchid.
Maybe there’s a mix-up?? Who knows..?
Drakula1 – :
I still think this is a new release, but we shall see 🙂 It’s impossible to hide something like that. And why would Tom Ford do such a thing? It’s all about the profit at the end.
beennyVox – :
Hey, y’all. Jeca says she was given this by Calice Becker herself.
So the co-founder of Fragrantica received it from the creator of the fragrance — if that doesn’t say GENUINE!! then I cannot fathom what evidence would be sufficient for the doubters.
kutuanna31 – :
Blessed are the counterfeiters, for they will be able to produce some fake ‘Black Orchid Oud’ bottles with Fragrantica’s approval.
Such an entry that highlights a non-existing product is frankly nonsense.

Secret edition? Well, what’s the point of publishing such an info if we can’t get it? Just to long for it 🙁
outrathinvart – :
🙂 I got this info from Calice herself 🙂 no mistake, it is just one secret edition, i will ask for details 🙂
jozhig – :
Maybe it’s a mistake with the year of release. For example, Velvet Orchid Lumiere first showed up here and then on other sites, even Tom Ford’s official site. So, maybe it has just been released. I’m hoping, to be honest 🙂
OragreetedO – :
I bet this is just a TF “Tease” to observe our reactions on if there really were a Black Orchid Oud… strategic marketing if you ask me
demonldg – :
Strange, out since 2012 and no-one has seen it or heard of it.
Maybe only Middle-East release?
mr andr – :
I’m curious to know who’s voting the notes, if no one seems to have smelled, or even seen, it.
gen1332 – :
Another strange Fragrantica conundrum????
SABINA – :
Huh? The bottle doesn’t say Oud. Was this sold only in Antarctica?
