Description

Yves Saint Laurent launched Black Opium in September 2014, the new fragrance announced as the rock’n’roll interpretation of the classic celebrating the dark, mysterious side of the YSL brand. In late August 2015, Black Opium Eau de Toilette was also presented. In early 2016, its third edition called Black Opium Nuit Blanche appears.

Nuit Blanche is an annual arts festival in Paris, which lasts all night. Black Opium Nuit Blanche is inspired by the night life of the city that never sleeps, promising the mysterious and unpredictable experience of an electric night in which everything is possible. Between tension and sensuality, audacity and femininity, the perfume combines the energy of coffee with sparkling orange blossom, illuminated by white musk. There are notes of silky smooth rice, Bourbon pepper, orange blossom absolute, Black Opium coffee, vanilla absolute, sandalwood and white musk.

The bottle design is very similar to the original. The difference is in the details like the color of the cap, which is in rose-gold, and white sequins. It is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Since I own and love the original Black Opium, I thought I would fall hard for this one, as I was told it’s a smoother, creamier version. Unfortunately, not the case. I do like it, but it’s not a love. The Black Opium vein is there, of course, but Nuit Blanche just isn’t what I had hoped it would be. It is smoother, just as I was told, but not nearly as beautifully intoxicating as the original, imo. I don’t find it to be a bad fragrance and would definitely recommend it to someone who’s seeking a more toned down Black Opium. Curiously, I keep getting whiffs of coffee-like Hypnotic Poison out of this.

I could not stomach the patchouli note in original, so this comforting gourmand scent feels like the perfect one for me. Boots had clearance on this flanker, so I gave it a little sniff, then curiosity got the best of me, so I tested it on skin. After I left the shop to stroll around, I had to return and get myself a bottle.
I love the silky rice powder smoothness it has paired with caramel coffee, with floral notes adding freshness, it sits on my skin so well. Deeply comforting scent on cold days paired with fluffy sweaters and messy hair, perfect for sleepy mornings, when you have a luxury to sip a coffee while wrapped upon your sofa. I seem to reach for it more often than I care to admit.

This is one of those ‘almost, but not quite’ fragrances for me. There is a harshly ‘perfumey’ undertone to this scent that I know is the orange blossom since that note (along with the sister note neroli) always smells like that to my nose (can’t really explain other than to say it comes across harsh, synthetic and obviously perfume rather than a natural smell that you could call ‘your skin, but better’). I really don’t know why so many perfumers put orange blossom/neroli in gourmand centered fragrances (or citruses) since I feel like those notes detract from the warmth and sweetness rather than enhance anything. I have the same problem with Carolina Herrara Good Girl where the lemon note sticks out like a sore thumb among the more gourmand notes and smells unnecessary. In this scent, the neroli smells unnecessary and pushes this into dislike territory for me.

Smells great the first 5 minutes, but it doesn.t last at all. I tested it in both Douglas and Marionnaud and I was dissapointed by the sillage and longevity. Nothing more than a basic sweet perfume. The original is much better and longer lasting. Usually gourmands go well with my skin chemistry…

I blind bought this flanker after reading reviews as to how smooth and creamy it is.
Yet on my skin this is a very potent, harsh, peppery (pink pepper) perfume, very strong and long lasting.
It is very sweet yet not smooth at all. The coffee is pretty much non-existent. I get caramel and pepper with a tart milky note.
Huge silage that gave me a headache. I could still smell it after showering.
This smells nothing like the original BO to me and I sadly say this is not working for me at all.

This perfume is amazing. I love how it settles on me and how milky it gets, but too bad, its logevity is almost non-existent. I have to shower myself with it to have it on for a few hours. Weak sillage as well. I just wish they’d do something about it, the notes are amazing.

Zero longevity: untraceable 30 mins after I generously put its sample on my wrist.
    Such a waste of money!

This is extremely sweet. I cannot discern any of its notes and I don’t get any spiciness out of it. I wish there were something to break up its sweetness for me. It goes on and remains sweet.
I’m happy to have tried it but I will be passing it on.

Ah, I like it! I can smell caramel and coffee and some kind of dessert with nuts. It smells like a lazy morning. Very comforting. However, I really only want to smell like this for an hour in the morning and then pick up something that I want to smell like for a whole day. Another thing is that I already smell like this for an hour in the morning with my cup of coffee, and it „projects” through the whole house, unlike this perfume. So, for as much as I like the fragrance, I see no point in having one.

A glass of hot milk, add a cube of caramel…. it melts & evolves a caramel aroma then add a shot of espresso made with high quality Arabica coffee beans to it 🙂
Thats how I would describe this perfume
    definitely a black opium related
But unlike some reviews here I think the milk notes & caramel do intensify coffee notes, this even happen with real coffee 🙂
Amazingly sweet 🙂 for cold winter days
My suggestion is that in the next edition they should add chocolate notes ,give it a mocha touch to it 🙂

I love this on me and so do the women ;P along with Shalimar and dark angel is some so-called women’s perfumes that men can wear.

This is a toasty, smooth, milky, vanilla caramel latte on me, with a side of a delicious yummy rice pudding as my dessert. I love the addition of the rice note. Definitely an added plus, makes it more intriguing. I think it just adds that certain uniqueness about it. I am so happy that my nose picks up on the caramel note, which on here it seems most people don’t even detect it. Very smooth, sexy, feminine and sophisticated. Strength and sillage are very good on me. I get about 7 to 8 hours out of it. 10/10… DELISH!!!

I love this fragrance a lot, I am very happy that I have mine. It gives confidence, I feel really good when I feel it, but I still don’t feel that it’s too strong. Many people asked me already, which perfume I have because it fits well and it’s very nice on me. It’s sweet but not too much, oriental but still not too heavy. You can wear it daytime and for the night too. Perfect:)

Smelled this fragrance today. Had to do a double take thought it was the other opium in the black bottle but I noticed it had a purple tint so I of course I sprayed. Fell in love. Buying it! Lol I feel like for woman fragrances are like ties for men you can never have enough. To some people (depending on your palate) some fragrance may come off too strong and stifling- this may be one but the dry down is where the compliments come in.This was sweet I love the original black opium but I think this is lighter on the nose. Very daring, sensual, and sexy. Nothing like a scent to get the good ole hormones pumping.

Mostly I don’t like vanilla-sweet perfumes on my skin. But this one is really different. three key notes have most important role in this issue. First Coffee as a non-common note in women perfumes, then vanilla & some caramel-like odor that always can charm any man and finally rice & milk! Last item make this flanker very different rather than original black opium. Here rice & milk add a very light, happy, pleasure, creamy and pudding sense to it. Its longevity & sillage is good & actually suitable as night fragrance in cold weather. You will be special woman by this scent. Your party can happen in your love embrace by this attractive smell.

Black Opium Nuit Blanche is a straight up smooth vanilla perfume. It’s a sweet sweet sweet gourmand vanilla from the first spray. There is the occasional spice, very mediocre, predictable almost. Some sweet fruit also appears during the development, just like the original; it quickly dissapears. The most impressive in here is the drydown consisting of vanilla and jasmine, the two most prominent notes.
Just imagine Olympea by Paco Rabanne without the salt, and there you have it, Nuit Blanche. Fans who came here for coffee will leave dissapointed as there aren’t any detectable coffee notes as in the original. Nuit Blanche is not sickly sweet, it’s well blended and just a touch powdery before it dissapears from the skin; which will happen fast, the scent lives on you for about three -four hours. At that time you’ll only smell some powdery-musky traces.
It’s not a terribly bad perfume, but it ain’t anything interesting either. It’s a good quality simplistic and basic vanilla-jasmine combination, that suffers from what most flankers do: blandness. Just like Floral Shock, Nuit Blanche is “not enough”.
As for the notes, a lot is listed both here and in the official website, but in reality a little of that is present. If you want to smell nice and safe and inoffensive go for Nuit Blanche, this is your scent. Notes as listed on the website:
    ▪pink pepper, basmati rice
    ▪orange blossom, peony accord
▪vanilla, coffee, white musks, santalwood, almond milk
Comparing to Black Opium, its flanker is more generic, while the former is more complex. The ad campaign for the Black Opium line (and so for Opium and Belle D’Opium, but for different reasons) is misleading. Black Opium and the flankers are not the sexy bitch presented in the ads “hypnotising” with her scent and attitude everyone, but it’s the super-cute and sweet all made up instagram chick that decides to have some fun on Saturday night. Next morning she’ll wake up hugging her teddy-bear.
Do I need it? Hell no

I have to agree with the reviews that say this is very similar to the original Black Opium. I can’t tell much difference between the two at all. If you’ve got one you need not get the other. I love the scent, but I could have saved my money and stuck with the original. I wonder if Floral Shock is just as similar….

Up-date my original review on This “Black Opium Nuit Blanche” I wore this last night after my shower getting into bed & I have to take back what I said yesterday about it!! Firstly on my skin there’s deffo not a strong Coffee Smell like the original Black Opium!! There’s deffo some warm Orange Aroma with warm hints on Pink Pepper!! Yes this is slightly more sweeter, but actually not as sweet as I thought it would be!! The dry down is more Milky rather than full on Creamy like the original Black Opium, but equally just as nice if somewhat weaker!! This One is deffo what I would class as a somewhat skin scent which wears around your own personal persona!! It’s a cosy snuggle into you kindA Perfume,& caused my Husband Sam to ask me “what’s that lovely smell your wearing tonight”?? & when I asked him his thoughts on it,I was very surprised when he said it was mild warm but extremely cosy that made him want to snuggle into me all night long!! lol’lol’lol’lol So I will actually give this a go wearing it daytime hour’s & see how we both get along!! There’s deffo nothing hash about this Perfume it’s deffo more like warm sweet frothy milk with a very slight hint of Vanilla/Orange Flower & deffo Pink Pepper!! It’s a skin scent, that has a lovely Powdery aroma,& deffo leaves a lovely aura around it’s wearer!! Will now test this out in the next few day’s & see how we get on with it!!

  19. :

    3 out of 5

This deffo lacks the Coffee Note in the original Black Opium,& is very much full of orange & pepper type notes & certainly is a lot sweeter than Black Opium!! To be honest I really do prefere the original Black Opium to this version,as the dry down of the original is much much nicer & somewhat creamer than this!! This Nuit Blance also seem’s to wear sweeter the longer it’s on your skin,& as other’s have said deffo can be very much over powering & sickening!! Honestly wouldn’t care that much if YSL discontinued this one & actually brought back Bell d’Opium in it’s place keeping the Original & the Floral Shock alive & well!! There’s deffo no need to keep this sugar bomb going when the other two Black Opiums + Belle d’Opium deffo out class it & are much nicer!!

I left a review earlier where I really praised this one. Halfway through my bottle I’m not so sure anymore. I decided to wear it today as a pause from my beloved Hypnotic Poison and was nauseous. What I earlier found sweet but fresh now just seemed sickeningly sweet. Will most likely give away, not for me.

  21. :

Caramel/vanillic scent with a hint of rice and sandalwood.
Super sweet, nothing to do with original opium.
For my its too sweet. I feel almost nauseous.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

I love the original Black Opium EDP, but sometimes I find the opening coffee note slightly sharp. So I tested this hoping for a sweeter version… yes, it is a sweeter version of BO – lacking the coffee note on me – and quite pleasant for the first ten minutes, albeit less interesting. It dried down to just a powdery skin scent that almost completely disappeared from my skin after an hour.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

I’m not a fan of the original Black Opium as it’s far too harsh for me. However, this is creamy and delicious! Vanilla and coffee. Sensual!

  24. :

    3 out of 5

I own and adore the regular Black Opium so when I saw this Nuit Blanche on the shelf I was very much eager to try it.
After spraying it, and smelling it quite a few times…I hate this. It smells powdery and flat and I really disliked the mix of this one. It also smells old lady to me. The regular Black Opium is better blended than this one.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

On my skin BONB is a mess the first hour or so. All the notes are way too intense and do not blend well with each other. But then it calms down and the notes blend together into a beautiful sweet scent. On my skin the coffee is very dominant, and it’s also a little spicy, but in a well-blended way. It’s very creamy and milky, but also slightly powdery. To me there’s nothing sexy about the scent. To me it’s very cozy, and I love the feeling I get when I wear it. My skin really amps it up, and sillage is strong.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This opens up a lot like the original Black Opium, except the coffee note is much weaker. However, once it sits it magically morphs into this creamy, milky soft deliciousness. If the original is like a Starbucks mocha frappuccino with shots of berry syrup, Nuit Blance is like a milky vanilla latte with whipped cream.
This is so, so delicious. I’ve been searching for a billowy smooth milky scent like this for a long time. I’ve tried a lot (as long as it isn’t discontinued or very HTF). In comparison to some of the most popular that get recommended a lot for milk scents: Ava Luxe Milk smells like overboiled caramel butter. DSH Au Lait smells like musky vanilla butter. Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme smells like plasticky vanilla milk sugar. Nuit Blanche is perfect.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

So delicious. It makes people want to sniff you and moan at how yummy you smell. Yes, it’s sweet, but not in an in your face kind of sweetness way – more a creamy white fluffy flower in the background with a some kind of coffee shop bakery cooking thing going on that makes your nose deeply inhale every molecule of it. Very relaxing. Hmmm …. mmmm

  28. :

    4 out of 5

Rich, milky vanilla with a hint of roasty coffee, but enough orange blossom and musk to ground it and stop it being too ‘gourmand’. I’d say it is indeed a crowd pleaser, as it’s strong vanilla note is very familiar and comfortable to wear. Definitely more toned down compared to the original, but still more of an evening fragrance than day time – however, works fine in the cold during the day.

I got this beautiful fragrance today and from now on i’m in love with it.At first spray you didn’t realise anything only creamy soft smell but after 15 minutes it turns into a beauty!I also have the original Black Opium in comparison this is way much creamier, softer and delicious.I also love the original one but it sometimes smell overpowering and noisy to my nose. But this one is a crowd pleaser i can say.I’ll be using this and original one this winter but Nuit Blance is my latest favourite in the Opium line 😉

  30. :

    5 out of 5

Very similar to the original, the cap looks very cheap to me. And where is the caramel? I don’t smell any.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Top is similar to the original but no super sweet berry note, the dry down is like burnt caramel. Not for me, but a good gourmand option.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

This version is softer, creamier and more floral compared to the original. The opening is pretty with a strong anise note. The soft rice compliments the sharpness in the anise. The pepper isn’t tingly at all; it’s warm. After the oriental opening you’ll get a more gourmand scent. I can smell the coffee clearly on my skin. It’ well complimented by the vanilla and caramel notes. A sexy base is created by the musk and sandalwood. I can sense a light, innocent floral skipping between the notes. It’s the peony. I really don’t like this note in most perfumes and I don’t like it in this one too. My personal pick would definitely be the original but I can imagine many people prefering this one.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I tested this today after all positive reviews here I like the original black opium edp but I like this even more it has the dna of original but it is different it is creemy and very sweet compared to original which is less sweet and more sharp
rate 9 of 10 best for winter

When I was first trying this on my wrist it affected me like I was wearing a man perfume which smells like very much an orange.
It was very manly on my wrist for the first trying but later I started to using it on my chest/neck and also on my belly button which makes the scents more lasting and also sensible as I read this information somewhere on the internet. The strange thing is, this method is very accurate according to my experinces. Like 8 or 9 hours later I can still smell the perfume from my finger when I touched my belly button.
Well after my second trying I loved it because it did fit me very well. It is like a warm milk with a light sugary orange scent and creamy vanilla on me. It is a soft scent but still sugary and very feminine.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

This is very similar to the original but with an extra creaminess & sweetness. It’s just softer & lighter. I love both but at the moment I love Nuit Blanche a little more
If the original is too overpowering try this.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

To me Nuit Blanche is the best of the whole BO line. The original is a bit too sharp for me and EDT overwhelming sweet. Nuit Blanche seems fresher and creamier in comparison.
Overall it does smell like many other perfumes on the market these days, but so what? Obviously syrupy gourmands are a thing and it’s good to have choices. Sometimes you smell a perfume and go “I would totally like it if not for…” and then you find another similar fragrance, or a flanker, that’s just right for you.
BO Nuit Blanche is my preferred scent from the super sweet gourmand family.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

This is a creamy, buttery vanilla latte on me. I do like it and lasting power is quite good but I’m not entirely certain I want to smell like this. I might wear it to bed or around the house but I don’t think I would ever wear it out.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

I really wish I could like this, it just doesn’t seem to work with my body chemistry. It smells nice if I sniff the bottle but on my skin it’s so creamy it’s sickly. I can’t smell the coffee at all on me which would have probably balanced the sweet and creaminess out. I don’t know if it’s the rice and the milk or the caramel – I had the same thing with Jimmy Choo and that was the toffee but I actually really like that fragrance as long as I don’t spray too much. I’ll keep using my sample of this as it has some aspects I really enjoy, I think it’s the floral, but I have a feeling this sadly just doesn’t work on me.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Well, I love Black Opium EDP. I have several back up bottles that I found for good prices.
And since I’m a perfume addict, I wanted this too. (If you ever see a 37 year old goth/punk from Michigan on Hoarders– it’s me)
I love this, but yeah…. it’s just too similar to BO. I can sort of tell it’s creamier and the rice/milk adds the cream to the coffee. It’s less SHARP and less potent than BO, but it really is unnecessary as a flanker. I’d still keep buying BO because it’s more bang for the buck.

  40. :

I don’t often give reviews in this tone but I’m feeling let down.
Lead astray by the faulty notes description I was hoping for black opium with caramel but caramel DOES NOT EXSIST!
I bought blind so shame on me for getting fooled but not only does this lack the caramel but I’m struggling to find the ‘pepper’. Bourbon or otherwise.
is this really any different to Black opium?
and for that matter is Black Opium any different to Diesel’s Loverdose?
    the answer is yes.
    Loverdose is better.
Is this really the latest Opium offering from YSL?
oh dear me! at least the bottle is glittery.
if your tossing up between this & Poison girl then go Poison Girl, money better spent.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

A lot like Black Opium, but less sweet. Its sweet but not overly sweet in my opinion. I like the coffee-note, it gives a warm aura. 2 spray for daytime – 4-5 sprays for partytime. Timeless, both for the teenager and the mature woman.
Ganska lik Black Opium men mindre söt. Den är söt men inte överdrivet söt, tycker jag. Jag gillar kaffe-noten för den ger en skön varm aura. 2 sprej för dagtid, 4-5 sprej för partytime. Tidlös – passar både tonåringen och den mogna kvinnan.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

I don’t get any peppery or bourbon notes; on me Nuit Blanche is all about the creamy milk, the vanilla, the warmth of the caramel. There is a powdery undertone to the sweetness, which I’m guessing comes from a quiet mix of white florals.
There seems to be a undertone of something nutty here too, and the woody base and light hint of coffee tones down the sweetness which adds more of a mature feel to the fragrance as it dries down. Longevity is good: I get a very respectable eight hours – it goes close to the skin after around 4 hours though, so it does seem quite ‘quiet’. A fantastic fragrance for colder weather, as it is so warm and snuggly.
I don’t think that this is a “bad” fragrance, heck I find it much easier to wear in comparison to the other Black Opium perfumes.
I just won’t buy it (I have a 7.5ml mini bottle) because it is very similar to Britney Spears Private Show – a huge price difference. Why spend more money on something when there is a perfectly good alternative available for a fraction of the price?

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I much prefer this one over the original. While the latter reminds me of Black XS l’Excès, I find Nuit Blanche very similar to CD Hypnotic Poison, even better without that off-putting root beer underlying note.
It’s pretty spicy, sweet and sexy… A perfect gourmand!

  44. :

    5 out of 5

The original is heavy for my taste, tried it and got blown out of my shoes.
    So left it.
By accident i got attacked by a sales lady with this one weeks later, never knew it was an other one, so i left with a Boss scent.
Got home and kept smelling my hand, with a big ????? on my forhead.
when i wanderd in to the city i always end up in a parfum store, and rememberd the smell, so i look fore it, then i saw that there were others…..
got one….surprise…..love it, love it, love it.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

A very nice milky vanilla caramel coffee scent that gets a soft boost from the orange blossom and peony that keeps it from being too sweet. A light powdery smell comes through from the orange blossom but balances well with the coriander and sandalwood. I prefer this one over any others.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

According to the sample I got:
A luminous trail journeys to the end of the night. The energy of black coffee embraces a vibrant orange blossom, enlightend by white musk.An electrifying thrill of feminity.
Coffee acord, orange blossom, sandalwood, white musk.
I have to say that this one is not much differente from Black opium EDP, but there are subtles differences that make this one lighter to me and therefore more appealing in terms of not being so overwhelming.
    Lovely fragance.

I have a tester of Black Opium eau de parfum and now the Nuit Blanche. They both smell the same, except for a very slight difference in sweetness, the Nuit Blanche is sweeter that’s all no complexity at all! There is nothing much else different about the two. Not worth buying, if I was to choose I would pick the eau de parfum, at least its more complex and I like that I can smell it on myself, the la nuit is just a waste of time, dont bother with this one!

I own and like black opium very much but black opium Nuit blanche was a love at first sniff,I’ve just tried it once on my wrist so I can’t write a real review,I can just say they are more than 80% similar so if you’re looking for a totally different fragrance,it will dissapoint you.it’s original BO with some changes and those changes make it Devine IMO
Unlike other reviewers I find nuit blanche sweeter than original, but it’s less heavy.lets say it’s sweeter but in a very creamy way.I also find coffee well pronounced here.I couldn’t detect caramel and milk in my first and only test, but they’re there for sure.making it’s sweetness buttery and edgeless.I can get more orange blossom here that makes it more powdery in it’s middle notes…original black opium had a hint of fruitchouli thing and I believe that’s what put me off at the first place, but in nuit blanche instead of fruitchouli sharpness, there’s milk and creamy and powdery notes
I think I loved nuit blanche so much because of the rice note.I simply adore rice in fragrances and it adds a unique milky rice pudding thing and also kind of calmness and soothing quality that it’s to die for.BONB is like a love child of original BO and Kenzo Amour so no wonder I loved it at first sniff (ofcourse mostly like BO and slightly like Kenzo Amour)
I find it as longlasting as the original.sillage is the same too, however it feels less because of it’s smoothness but it’s noticable even after hours and even by myself. smelling a soft cloud of my perfume arounds me makes me happy and this thing doesn’t happen most often so I appreciate it alot
BONB is among my ten ASAP wantlist and is among my choices for my birthday present
    ❤❤❤❤❤

Really enjoyable winter fragrance. Coffee is really dominant and strong, but shaped to feel like visit to finest cafeteria. it’s not like you’re working in a coffee factory.
It is creamy and cozy, perfect for winter.

I have Black Opium and i like but…somethings missing for me to love it. I received a sample of this one and i expected that i won’t like it but i have to say i do, a lot, or maybe even love the scent. We shall see in time how our relationship will continue but for now i can say that i will wear this one much more it is definitely a softer and creamier, tone down version of the original Black Opium EDP. I will stick to Nuit Blanche for now!
    10/10

I think I found a decent dupe for this Black Opium Nuit Blanche: “Black Musk” from The Body Shop. I own both perfumes, and I find that the initial smell of each from the first spritz on my skin is very similar to one another. Try to test both in each arm simultaneously. 🙂 (However, BONB’s scent changes every after a few minutes or hours even, while TBS Black Musk’s scent dissipates quickly (around an hour) on my skin. Hmm you get what you pay for haha
BONB is the best among the Opium line for me. Its sweet smell is even smoother and somewhat “gentler” than the Black Opium edt/edp (perhaps because of the rice and milk notes). Opium is not sweet at all, that’s why it is my least favorite. (Just personal preference, though)
I want to commend the review video on the Youtube channel “GeraldAndrewYou” for a great description of the main notes present in this perfume. Check out his video if you have the time. 🙂

While I have no problem with sweet, gourmand scents (even though I prefer the aquatic, fresh ones), this scent is a tiny bit boring to me. It is a flat fragrance, only sweet, no twist, nothing characteristic, I find it too general for a gourmand perfume. I mean, even gourman perfumes should have something unique or appealing. Unfortunately Opium Nuit Blanche does not have that special something for me.

I don’t see much of a difference between this one and the EDP version. Smells exactly the same to me.
Extremely sweet. Most dominant notes are vanilla, caramel, coffee and milky notes.
Smells like a dessert with synthetic flavorings.
I think it’s nice for such a sweet scent, quite well balanced, but I am not impressed.
I guess, I am not such a fan of gourmand scents after all.

This is almost exactly the same as regular Black Opium, only even sweeter and less complex – the opposite of what’s expected from a night version of a fragrance. BONB is very simple – mostly sugary caramel.
I much prefer regular Black Opium, which has the (unlisted) dark berry juice to moderate the sweetness, and more vanilla than caramel.
I’m actually shocked by how pharmacy-style this version is. e.g. Katy Perry’s ‘Meow’ and Sophia Vergara’s ‘Love’ (same thing) smell almost the same, but better IMO and for $20/100ml.
Also, just like regular Black Opium, BONB contains zero coffee. Not a trace. Perhaps the formulators chose a note to which a high percentage of the population is anosmic. An odd choice.
(It’s interesting that the data above show that females below the age of 25 universally Love or Like this. Then over the age of 25 there’s a dramatic shift, with fewer Loves and many Dislikes.)

At first it seems to be very nice, lighter than the first Black Opium. However, after some time it’s strange. Half oriental and half gourmand. I like it and I think that the bottle is magnificent, but it’s not enough to buy it.

This is my favourite of the Black Opium range. It’s an improved version of the EDP with better longevity and complexity. It’s comforting, romantic and addictive.

Wow so delicious and luxurious at the same time. Reminds me of coffee time and complimentary desserts. 🙂

I tried this fragrance yesterday and I liked the scent. It was a faminine perfume with floral and powdery accords. The dominant notes are Vanilla and coffee. This perfume is perfect for cold seasons and both longevity and projection are excellent.

I feel obligated to write a second review because since I purchased my full size bottle, I’ve felt like my first review doesn’t do it justice.
When I was using my sample I thought the longetivity kind of sucked… However, this fragrance actually IS long-lasting in the contrary to what I used to believe, especially on clothes. Furthermore it seems as it lasts longer than what I can feel on myself because I have received several compliments and questions about what I’m wearing long after I thought it already had disappeared.
I tried the original Black Opium once again I really can’t STAND it, I completely detest it to be completely honest. Nuit Blanche however, smells nothing like the original in my opinion and I never would’ve guessed that there’s any connection between the two. This is a delicate, flirtatious and sexy fragrance that I’ve been wearing for every evening event or party night since I bought it, and it really seems to be a crowd pleaser. In fact, this is one of the few perfumes that I can see myself re-purchasing again and again; I’m already planning on buying a second bottle JUST IN CASE of it being discontinued lol.

Didn’t expect to even like this let alone entirely fall in love with it! I don’t like Black Opium at all, it seems crass and so very like many other current scents, and I am not the target age group for this type of fragrance. Well basically I’ve been pouting ever since the original Opium disappeared… But Nuit Blanche, I love the way you sparkle and then settle into a gorgeously comforting gourmand that I can’t stop sniffing. It’s not too sweet, and I would say it’s pretty unisex. Big win for this genre, and a full bottle purchase for me.

    Love, love, love!
Nuit Blanche was a surprise find for me. I tested this by accident thinking I was testing the original Black Opium. This is a gorgeous mix of vanilla, coffee and orange blossom, fading with a hint of sandalwood to add a pinch of powder to the scent.
What I love about this one is the coffee and vanilla balance each other so well with the blossom adding a very sweet, floral twist on the scent.
    10/10, IN LOVE!
