soapy water. it doesn’t smell like expensive soap really but more of a hand soap. very comforting and inoffensive. unisex for sure.

first time that I tried bijan nude for men,I thought it’s female version(it was a tester bottle without cap)which I wanted for a while.I liked it and decided to buy it but when they told me it’s the male version I changed my mind.SA was kind enough to give a tiny sample decant of it
Being a girly girl I never go for male fragrances.I tried to find female version but I couldn’t and musky gardenia is exactly what I’ve been craving for a while so decided to give my sample of bijan nude for men a fair chance
On my skin it’s a Musky white floral and slightest hint of woody notes.as soon as I dabbed it on my skin it reminded me another perfume I recently tested and loved it:Tom Ford white suede but with more cool and clean vibe and without it’s leathery drydown
Bijan nude is a clean scent, what we call laundry clean, fresh out of shower and soapy but in a light,in offensive, not too cold or harsh way.it’s light and pure and beautiful.I can’t find anything masculine in it,it’s definitely unisex and easily wearable for ladies too
Bijan nude is a very simple scent and I didn’t expect to like it this much but it’s exactly the type of perfume I like to wear after shower, before going to bed and whenever I’m at home with my family.if you don’t like to seem perfumed and just want to smell nice and clean and refreshed it’s the one
All in all musky florals last a lot on my skin but I didn’t expect much in this case as it’s very cheap(80mil bottle is 20$ or less here)but it lasts for about 5 hours which is very good for such a delicate clean scent.I need to buy myself a bottle ASAP
    Edit:
Now I have a bottle of this little gem which I share with my husband.the term”right out of shower” is used in many cases but I find this one closest to real life.smells exactly as if one has stepped out of bathroom just five minutes ago and has washed with my favorite white musk soap.such a nice smell for warm spring and summer days.it stays close to skin but maintains noticable for people close to you for couple of hours, which is great
Yesterday I used it when I went for jugging with my sister and cousins.they all commented on how lovely and refreshing I smell.one of my cousins said:what soap or body wash you use which smells this great and it’s aroma lasts and wafts like a perfume, even more than our perfumes?!!! they were all surprised to hear it is actually a perfume and asked me to order a bottle for each of them
It’s also very useful for layering
Highly recommended if you’re into clean and crisp soapy scents

Strange looking bottle. Strange scent. I really don’t mind. It can come across as very feminine to some, if not most men, so I would take this one with caution before making a public appearance of any kind wearing this one. Definitely not for the summer, too strong for the heat. For the winter, you may get a few compliments here and there. I would recommend to try it first before buying it.

Wonderful inofenssive and longlasting flowery-musky clean scent…and almost all ladies seem to like it (two of my female friends even got it for themselves after smelling it on me). Definitely unisex.

This was my 3rd signature scent. Damn good. Damn fresh. If you like Mont Blanc Individuel, you will like this. I DID NOT SAY IT SMELLED LIKE IT. However, it gives that clean smelling fragrance that stays away from citrus and fruity smells. Sometimes they can get “played out”. So, this is a freshy for any occasion any season.
YOU SMELL THE GARDENIA AND AMBER more that anything else! This is a white type of musk–not heavy. It was only a touch added to make it masculine. The perfumers understood a dab will do you. You don’t need it, but you can go 4 or 5 sprays without worrying about being offensive. The same concept of this review is the same for BIJAN BLACK. Both have about 3-5 hrs of longevity before needing to reapply. Cheers!
    8.5/10

I sprayed this on not realizing it was for men, but that being said, for a men’s cheapie ($10) it smells pretty darn good on me. It began with intense citrus, and it dried down into a fascinating mossy musk. Definitely musk. I’m surprised there is no mention of oakmoss, so I guess I will say that the woody note smells musty, like if your grandpa built a tree house for you, and you enter it after not having been in it for several years. It smells like damp, rotting wood. So ya, on me this is an oakmossy musk. I get no trace of florals whatsoever, but maybe that’s just my woman’s chemistry. Longevity is great and sillage is nice and average, which is what I like. I rather like this! I will keep it instead of give it to my brother or a male friend.

Very like soap powder mixed with hot water. Excellent clean scent. Lasts on clothes – lovely!

It is a great fragrance to wear when you don’t really want to wear a fragrance…if that makes sense. Very light and clean, but I don’t get the laundry thing. I will break this out when I travel or sometimes even before bed.

I just got this a few days ago (after a recommendation from a fellow Fragrantica forum member….thanks Steve!) as I was looking for a soapy/clean fragrance for work use. I must say I am loving Bijan Nude for Men. My 1st impression was OMG! Boss Bottled Night meets Wings for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills. I am delighted because I love those 2 fragrances. The notes on Bijan Nude for Men are exactly as specified above. I am convinced that if a fragrance has musk and amber together, I’m sold. Nude is definitely going to compete with cK Be as my no.1 work fragrance. I have worn it to work 2 days now but haven’t yet got a compliment, but did notice my boss leaning over my shoulder a couple of times yesterday during a meeting! The dry down is beautifully soapy (more creamy than citrus) with a “white” musk note and very “unisex”. This reminds me so much of Wings for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills but is definitely weaker (not in a bad way though). I can still get the frangrance (on my clothes) 10 hours after the first spray…and keep sniffing (reminds me of a high quality laundry detergent)!! Shame about the tacky bottle though…..what were they thinking??!!

  11. :

I’m on the fence. It’s very very light. I wouldn’t consider this masculine at all, but at the same time it’s not typically feminine either. Definitely getting a powdery, flowery hair spray vibe from this. Either way, it’s perfect for a casual day of doing nothing. Doesn’t last very long and it’s not very offensive.

  12. :

    4 out of 5

A nice simple light clean fragrance. Nothing inoffensive about it and perfect for warmer temps. It won’t wow too many folks but it is not intended for that. I like it for what it’s worth and I can’t complain as it’s around 10 bucks.

After reading many reviews billing this as soft, creamy, soapy gardenia-musk, I decided to take the plunge.
    I regret it.
Not only do I not get gardenia, I don’t really get much of anything at all. Not even the soapiness every one else seems to get.
The top and mid notes are a laundry powder detergent affair. It quickly descends in a dry down vaguely reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier’s “house base” for its flagship men’s fragrances, Le Male and Fleur du Male. Even then, its extremely watered down with the liquified smell of clothing just washed (and still wet) with cheap laundry powder detergent.
    Vapid, cheap, and ineffective. Shame.
$20 AUD can easily get you something much better–in the price range (though totally different) I’d highly recommend Bogard Pour Homme.

You get what you pay for.
Two Bijan execs having a conversation:
#1 Hey! I know this sounds crazy, but you know that big tanker of laundry sheet scent we have out back?
#2 Yeah…. you mean that horrid ‘fresh-clean’ garbage?
#1 Let’s make a cologne out of that and sell it for a huge profit, since the stuff only costs pennies per gallon
#2 Nobody would be stupid enough to buy that would they?
#1 Ha ha. Of course. We’ll put it in a really ugly bottle just to seal the deal.

I’m a white musk fan, and I love the original woman’s Bijan; I also enjoy the female Bijan Nude, so I have wanted to try this for a while. It’s very inexpensive at the discount stores, so I snapped up a bottle.
This is a very clean laundry musk. The opening is quite sharp, quite chemical-ly; but it quickly transitions to a brisk, clean, musk. It reminds me not of clothes fresh from the dryer, but of clothes fresh from the line–sunshine, fresh air, a light herbal outdoor quality. It is simultaneously warm and cool–like warm sun on a cool spring day. This would work for either men or women, anyone who wants a fresh clean musk.
    Sillage is modest, longevity unproven.
Of note, this is vaguely similar to Bijan Nude for women; while the female version has the rooty earthiness of the iris (more orris) along with some sweetness, they share a similar clean musk base. The male version is simpler, but they are similar.

This is outstanding. The original Bijan released in 1987 is vile. I’m pleasantly surprised with this one. At first i was kind of scared because it reminded me of Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier and then i realized it reminded me of CK One and then I realized i didn’t know anything about fragrances. I was shocked to find that it had gardenia in it. But i am getting that fresh boy, laundry detergent vibe. Love it!

My first impression was that it was a “cheap” fragrance and I was not pleased with it but as it grew on me , I admit that I like it. Yes, I agree – it has a smell of detergent soap but in a nice way. It reminds me of laundry clean and dried under a cloudless blue sky.

  18. :

A good clean, soapy, citrus musk with soft floral notes.
very soft projection and longevity is about 4 hrs on me. smells like you’ve just stepped out of the shower. if you just want to smell clean without overpowering anybody’s nose, this is a good buy. dirt cheap as well.
7/10. Please note this review is for the current version. I have not smelled the vintage version.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

    Blind buy, just arrived today.
starts off on a citrus note and kinda turns into soapy/clean after 15-20 mins.
My only problem is that during the dry off I get a musky note that is a bit too musky almost as damp clothes smell.
I think it’s not that compatible with my skin, so won’t be buying it again.
Other than that, It’s cheap, the bottle is unique and I’d say it’s for casual/office wear.
    Longevity is moderate.

Laundry detergent blast !! .. Very clean and fresh !

  21. :

It projects nicely and I get more of a fabric softener, maybe laundry detergent feeling. Not really soapy to me, more like something clothes would smell like fresh out the dryer. Just fresh and clean, hint of citrus. Not offensive, and dirt cheap.

I received this by mistake after ordering a female version online. After reading reviews here I gave it a try, and what a surprise! I actualy like it. The opening is a bit too masculine for my liking, but after it settles, makes for a cosy scent. Like giving a hug to a boyfriend and going away with his scent still lingering in your memory. Nice..
I don’t think I’d wear it outside the house on it’s own, but I tried to mix this with Bvlgari Jasmine Noir with outstanding results. Bijan Nude gives Jasmine Noir more depth, and that much needed kick, perfect!

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Almost an anti-perfume, a fragrance that whispers “hey I just smell clean and fresh, trust me it’s the way I am”. The bottle is as weird as a typical Bijan bottle I suppose. Quite like the donut shape and the discoball doorknob imitation for a cap is quite funny. Oh well, it’s about the scent, right? A muffled burst of citrus quickly gives way to a well rounded soft musk cloud. Perfectly unisex. I have been careful not to overspray, but I think it’s probably safe to indulge a little with this EDT without risking to offend anyone. The problem with clean fragrances is often they come across soapy and stay that way, or some note or the other sticks out a little too much to make the scent believable. I prefer this over Body Shop White Musk and other clean musk scents I have tried, because it blends superbly into my skin. Bijan Nude for men manages to give you the “freshly showered wrapped up in luxurious Egyptian cotton towels” experience without any major soapiness. So what’s the point, why wear this fragrance? It has a strange addictive grip on me. Perhaps I have been overloading my nose the last few days with a line up of extreme fragrances and needed some sort of olfactory reset. Whatever it is, I thoroughly enjoy being wrapped up in this cosy virtual bathrobe. Imagine you spend a night in an impeccably clean hotel , take a bath, wrap up in a luxurious Egyptian towel and then sink into crisp white bedlinens . And if it smells too innocent to be true, it probably is 😉 It was meant to be a business trip, but shhhh off the records you didn’t spend the night alone in there and nobody is supposed to know. Must make sure there are no lipstick and perfume traces left LOL…. Here comes the secret weapon, Bijan Nude Men, the perfume to erase all perfumes. (It probably doesn’t work on lipstick stains but hey you can’t be too demanding – this juice is ridiculously affordable!)
    – Projection: minimal, Longevity: up to 6 hours on me –
Update: it gets better every time. I wore it to bed the other day and the drydown was to fall asleep for, so cosy… it’s like your skin just ten times better!

I am a female and I LOVE it!!!
It is a very long lasting citrus, musky scent…It lasts on my skin for more than 7 hours. Just lovely!

A curious one, it looks like a hideous object but smells ok. The opening struck me as similar to V/S, citrus and cleanly musky. After this I got a strong fresh cardamom note and light florals. I could never own it but it didn’t smell as cheap as it looks.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This is the best non offensive fragrance ever created, and for a cheap price too, it can’t be beat. Soapy clean smell as everyone else has suggested. I am eagerly awaiting my bottle of gendarme gendarme to see if it compares with this. As for bijan nude for men, it’s my number 1 go to fragrance at this time, and in my top 5 all time.

  27. :

After having a spritzer issue, I am now able to enjoy this frag. To me it is soft, soapy, clean, inoffesnive. Anyone could wear this at any time. I don’t get the projection and longevity like other people have commented, but overall a nice frag.
    8/10
If it lasted longer on my skin it would get a 10 🙂

I have three 75ml tester bottles of this if anyone’s interested in swapping (EU only).
I really like this scent in many ways and I only want to get rid of my testers of it because I associate it now with someone I know who is not too nice and who drenched themselves in this so now I have negative associations with it …. dammit! I’d liked it a lot before that and even wore it myself (and I’m a female!).
Oh well, hopefully someone else may be able to use my bottles of it and enjoy them!

  29. :

    4 out of 5

I love this. It’s like other reviewers have said, this just smells like clean. Clean, freshly showered skin. So lovely! It starts out quite citrussy, but not in a harsh way. After about ten minutes the citrus fades away and the white, skin musk comes out. The florals and woods aren’t really noticeable to me, my nose just translates it into the soft scent of a crisp white button up shirt that’s been freshly laundered with the loveliest detergent. There is a sort of earthy undercurrent to this scent, like wet, dark earth. That earth note is actually what stays around the longest on my skin. At first I didn’t like it, but I feel as if that earth note ‘grounds’ the perfume, and it just works.
Sillage and projection are pretty low; I would definitely classify this as a skin scent. Longevity is pretty good!
I don’t think of this as a ‘male’ or ‘female’ perfume, I love wearing it myself and I would love smelling this on a man.
If you like smelling clean (not soapy!), give this a try 🙂

I picked this up on spec for pennies…It was so cheap I figured that it was OK if I didn’t like it.
In fact I like it a lot. As others have said its clean and sweet without being cloying.

    I respect Bijan scents.
Bijan Nude is simple and fresh, musk and Bijan’s favorite gardenia by minimum.Very soft soapy scent

I love the Bijan brand and I’m a fan of Bijan Style for men. On a whim I thought I’d try this fragrance and while I do enjoy clean scents, all I could smell after wearing this fragrance was a soapy smell. The scent of soap was strong and powdery and it grew more intense throughout the day giving me a slight headache. I chalk this up as a fragrance that didn’t work with my chemistry, but perhaps it will work for others.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

very soapy, musky, light & cozy scent…i like it…a little bit poor on sillage/longevity…so I spray with abundance and get a good effect…it’s never ‘too much’…

  34. :

Dominant with white musk and soapy, it’s nice if you want to smell very clean.
    Easily a unisex fragrance.
It’s an odd looking container for men. Still, a nice bonus is that the scent isn’t very expensive at all.

  35. :

Shamus1 – “Horrendous … disgusting …” ???? Really? C’mon, you’re WAY over exaggerating. Clearly, you’re not a fan of Bijan Nude but it’s far from horrendous or disgusting. What it is is an inoffensive, creamy, soapy, clean smelling scent that works well for both men and women (maybe particularly for women!) and it’s very nice. I can only imagine that anyone who hates (or perhaps is unused to!) the smell of soapy cleanliness could hate the smell of this! To smell something that’s REALLY horrendous and disgusting, wend your way to your nearest department store, head for the women’s fragrances and take a sniff of Opium. If you’re not knocked into a coma by the overpowering stench then come back on here and write a review for that so-called perfume!! ;o)

Spanish Gardenias release their magic at midnight in a garden in Madrid, fragrant with the promise of illicit love. The pale ginger moon of Spain hangs just above the horizon in a sky of velvet indigo. Doña Sol des Muire strums her guitar and watches Juan Gallardo asleep in a chair near the fountain. The flowers of garden beyond the patio arches permeate the air with an invisible note of seduction just as Doña Sol begins her song to the sleeping matador.
Her voice fills the night with a song of a green moon and bad luck. Her song she tells the sleeping Juan that even though she wants him she can not love him. She warns him that to love her is to tumble into damnation and death. His passion for her in the evening will surely lead to his death in the afternoon. The unconscious Juan hears none of it, and if he were awake he would not believe a word of her song, for he is already ensnared as she winds him within her silken web of longing in the garden of the Spanish gardenias.
With one last flourish of her read lacquered nails over the guitar strings her song is finished. A cool and distant smile comes to her lips as she looks down at Juan and contemplates his fate. From a dark corner of the garden a voice speaks very low and soft.
“That’s it Rita, hold that look. Good…..good…… CUT. That’s a wrap.”
Tyrone Power opens one eye and smiles up at Rita Hayworth. She leans down to him her Titan hair tumbles forward, she tweaks his nose. In an hour the set is deserted and only the work light in the center of the stage glows. Just as midnight comes over the soundstage the paper flowers in the fake garden come alive, the silk gardenias pump the stale atmosphere full of magic and from somewhere in the darkness a phantom guitar strums Verde Luna.
Bijan Nude for men has within its juice, an old Hollywood feel of glamour. The woody floral musk is something that Tyrone Power or Errol Flynn might have worn on a night out at Ciro’s or the Coconut Grove. Here the blending of Musk, with citrus, woods, amber and gardenia works very well to create an ambiance of male sexuality and quiet power. The white flower scent of the gardenia is muted by the woods in the opening giving it a smooth masculinity you don’t often find from gardenia perfumes. As it progresses the citrus notes warm it up a bit bringing in a warm summer evening feeling. You could be in Spain, or in Southern California, it is a Mediterranean feeling that comes with the citrus. The dry down is even warmer and rather cozy thanks to the solid musk and amber blending into the perfume. Nude is noteworthy and memorable.
Released in 2007 Bijan Nude an insinuatingly subtle masculine perfume that works well for me, I would even say it has a romantic feeling about it. It has a good projection and lasts on my skin a good six to seven hours. Nude is very inexpensive and proves that a good perfume can come at a reasonable price.
Nude is a head turner in the best way. On several occasions I have been asked. “What is that wonderful scent you are wearing?”
“Nude” I say with a cool and distant smile. “I am wearing nothing but Nude.”
    FIVE GOLD STARS *****

I took a chance and ordered a tester bottle of this from one of the UK perfume websites and I LOOOVVVE it! As many reviewers here have said, it’s creamy, soapy and clean smelling and is a very snuggly, warm scent that is quite comforting and cosy, and it smells better and better the longer it’s on my skin. It’s such a clean, relaxing scent that it’s perfect to wear at bedtime but it’s also a great anytime scent and wouldn’t smell out of place anywhere. Despite it apparently having woods in, it doesn’t smell at all woody to me but light, creamy and clean smelling. Because of its clean, soapy smell it kind of reminds me of Lanvin’s Oxygene (the women’s one) which is probably my favourite ‘go to’ fragrance and that’s also very creamy, clean and makes me feel as if I just stepped out of the shower. The difference though is that Oxygene is a bit peppery in the beginning and more floral, whereas Bijan Nude is a bit sweeter so it smells a bit more gourmand to me. I
So, this is a major winner for me, and I much prefer it to the female Nude (although that’s OK but I wasn’t as thrilled about it as I am with this one!) In fact, I’m so thrilled to have discovered this male version that I ordered more tester bottles of it – 4, in fact. So, now I have plenty of this to keep me going for ages and it’s become one of my favourite go to scents, along with my beloved Oxygene! So, I can definitely recommend this for women as well as for guys. :-))))

Like a clean laundrette. If you love soapy, clean, fresh scents then this is for you. Bijan Nude is lovely, smells like you just had a bath. Sillage is a particularly good feature of Nude – this really projects well and is the definition of CLEAN. Staying power is also good – one of THE greatest clean smelling scents, it’s unique and I love this to bits.

I got this awhile ago wanting to try out some mens colognes and I actually really like it. It’s fresh out of the shower, soapy, slightly creamy with a hint of lemon. The drydown is earthy with a woodsy undertone. This fragrance stays very light all the way through and lasts along time on the skin it’s perfect as a work fragrance or lounging around on a lazy day. I could see a man or woman wearing this scent because it has a unisex feel to it nude smells masculine and slightly feminine at the same time. I’m glad I picked this one up and I cant wait to try some other bijan colognes!

I don’t get all negative comments outta here.. I love this one! Ok, it’s not like “soft baby skin or the smell of heaven”. It’s normal light, fresh and soft scent. Very good for everyday use. It reminds me some champagne.

Oh my god! It was simply a big fault!
This smells just like a cheap Musk fragrance. There is absolutly no Gardenia detectable. Its starts with a pungent Laundromat typicall note.
But the main impression is just a central musky fabric conditioner note. With some undefinable flowery notes in the middel, and some slightly creamy and calm woody notes in the base. Its really just a Musky mixup.
The longlivety is terrible, after 1 Hour you barrley smell somthing, even when you hold your nose directly where you sprizt it.
Cant belive somone really likes to smell like some synthetic Musks. Awful!

This fragrance smells just like Bozzano Gel. Very cheap and annoying smell, not to mention the very weird bottle. A regret.

  44. :

This one could be perfectly shared by both male and female. And I believe that it would react completely different from one type of skin to another.
I didn’t like it from its top notes. And the worst part of it, is that it takes too much time to fade away from this to the heart and base notes. But after about 35 minutes , the revelation: lots of woods and a delicious gardenia blended over the musk.
Sometimes it seems earthy. Other times it seems like a fresh bath.
    What I liked the most?
The fact of being different from all the others I have in my collection and the fact of being very elegant.
If had came inside a bottle with another name, like “Bvlgari Nude”, I would believe, because it has this Bvlgari’s elegant characteristic. And lasts A LOT!

  45. :

WOW was I disappointed. At first spray watery, innocent, barely detectable. Then it turned into a vicious shrew. The gardenia is loud and obnoxious with the musk just as strong and annoying. You get very slight citrus. Longer you wear the more potent it gets. There’s nothing soft baby skin or the smell of heaven about this cologne. THE END!

I loved it…So subtle and innocent, almost smells like baby`s skin. Both fresh and sweet, it mixes with the skin scent and produces an effect of a second skin.Delicious! I want it for myself, cause I don`t think it is masculine at all…
