Sweet and Juicy citrus fragrance. Makes my mouth water. How a Citrus fragrance should be done. Very well worth every penny. Long lasting all day. Projection is beast with a few extra sprays. I love this.

Bergamot Extrait is a gorgeous smooth soapy-citrus scent. It’s such a shame it has been discontinued, because it’s absolutely stunning.

If you plan on going on a morning date with your lover this is the scent you should wear. For that situation I firmly believe its the best in the entire world. No one else is invited. That is what I’ll be using it for. Do whatever you want. This is Bergamot and Sunshine. Nothing except happiness and smiles. That’s all I want in life and all I want in a partner. They need to make me happy and uncontrollably smile. Plus some jasmine…

Roja Dove Bergamot Extrait’s scent is fairly on-point with the name; it’s a refreshing, bright bergamot scent. I get a little sweetness and certainly some refinement but mostly the bright citrus of the bergamot itself.
It’s not special in terms of either projection or longevity, especially given the extrait concentration. I can’t fathom actually paying the retail Roja price for it, and luckily I don’t have to, as it’s discontinued now, anyway.
An interesting try and a worth summer scent, but not one I’ll be tracking down.

Great scent. Has a bit of a L’eau D’issey Pour Homme vibe. Not in the sense that they smell alike, but it gives off the same feeling as L’eau D’issey. This is a decent fragrance, not worth the price tag in my opinion. It’s extremely unisex bordering on feminine, but a man can easily pull this off. Great summer night fragrance, but is it worth the price tag? I’d say no. Try to find this at a discount. If you can find it for under $200, pick it up. Otherwise, pass.

Best Time to Wear: Warm summer nights

Scent – dry jasmine, lemon & bergamot.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, day or night.
    Projection – I did get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
    Longevity – I get 2hrs consistently.

Im a big citrus fan and i own bottles or samples of many popular and high end citrus fragrances like Nio, 1861 and B22 etc.
Bergamot Extrait is not really a juicy, summer, bottle full of sunshine, bergamot scent. I really can’t compare it to only ONE fragrance, but it has traits from many other fragrances that i like – for instance Therre d’Hermes, Erolfa, Original Vetiver, Bigarade Concentree and Eau de Gloire.
To sum it up – as far as citrus fragrances go, this is more of a grown up, cool, classy, dry and green citrus scent. It has its own niche among the top bergamot scents on the market.

Today I sampled Rova Dove – Bergamot Extrait
It was not as I had expected. My preconceived image of this was that it would be a bitter and sparkling fragrance that with a private jet would take me back to the Amalfi coast with its sun, sand and extravagance.
Bergamot Extrait is much darker than I thought , and instead of the sunny Amalfi Coast, I was brought to a green meadow where I’m standing in the pouring rain with the forest that rises on the horizon . The color I see is dark green instead of shimmering turquoise .
It is more adult and sophisticated than I imagined and although the lemons and bergamot are there, they are darkened down considerably by moss and vetiver . In the drydown , I feel clearly the clean and soapy scent of white musks that elegantly blends with the green.
Superb craftsmanship and quality ingredients as it should be when it comes to the Roja and the price you must pay to indulge yourself with this.

If you want to smell good for 10 minutes Roja Bergamot is a perfect fragrance. Roja Neroli is also a fragrance that i can’t notice anymore after a few minutes. The scents from Roja are good but the longevity is terrible. Normally i don’t mind that much about longevity because 4 a 5 hours is sufficient for me but this probably the brand with the weakest fragrances in the world. The price is ridiculous for such a weak fragrance.

This one is great. I got most compliments on
this. I fully agree with the reviewer below that
this is worth the money you are paying.
I read somewhere that Bergamot is the favourite
of Roja Dove because of it’s versatility
and Bergamot makes its way into most
of his fragrances. I knew this would turn out
to be something extraordinary because of Bergamot.
This one starts with a Massive dose of Berga-
mot, Little bit of Orange and lemon with nose
tingleing goodness. It turns little sweet atonce
as Jasmine makes its presense felt. I did get
a musky vibe too and could not identify other
ingredients. And there was no need for me to
identify them either . As the smell developed it
retained its strenght on a citrus fruits, jasmine
    musk etc.,
If citrussy scents are your cup of tea then
try this. I am sure this will please even
the most severe Roja critics. This comes with
a hefty price tag but then I don’t think (with my
limited exposure) I have smelled anything
like this. When I compare this with few other
citrus scents this one feels very lively. The
difference between this and other similar
citrus frags is like watching a horse from a
distance and the joy of actually riding a horse.

Thanks to a great lady who manages the Tom Ford Counter at Bergdorf Goodman, I was able to sample this in Canada prior to shelling out a pretty penny for it- Worth EVERY SINGLE penny!!! Everything from the presentation to the opening to the drydown screams CLASS!!! Bergamot Extrait is superb chypre (Citrus top-notes, a middle centered on cistus labdanum, and a mossy-animalic base-note derived from oak moss and musks) – it is brilliant. It is fresh and sparkling like the morning sun on the Amalfi coast. The initial BLAST gives you that sumptuous Amalfi lemon coupled with bergamot, leaving you with a sharp somewhat soapy fresh citrus feeling….. In about half an hour, it settles into nothing but sweet Jasmine, musky undertones and I pick up just enough patchouli to give it that depth…… Roja said it best: “No one can touch us us in the quality of the raw materials”! Having tried this and being a proud owner…… I fully concur……

@Mando: Sorry friend! I’m the proud owner of a 50ml bottle that I just purchased in the last month; and other than Le Labo”s Bergamote 22, I can honestly say, there’s NOTHING better on the market…….. I don’t wish to sound like a know-it-all, but I’ve tried at least 25 frags driven by that Bergamot note….. “Lemony Pledge” is often an over used cliche that’s just thrown around out there -often without any solid basis…… Roja Dove uses QUALITY RAW MATERIALS: taste & see the difference….. Cheers!

Roja Dove Bergamot does a good job for an essence which is commonly used without being a common fragrance. It smells rich, the citrus part last a good 1-2 hours. It starts with a floral touch that becomes more intense as the time goes by. The opening is more bitter, fizzy, with a lemon aura, and then the refreshing and more sweet side of citrus accord gets in evidence. Later, the scent shows its chypre side, but more in a modern way, very intense in the jasmine and with a musky and patchouli edge. It’s unissex, but maybe more in the feminine side than masculine one. If you want a rich and expensive citrus chypre fragrance, this one is a great option.

The notes sound very nice but watch it smell like very expensive Lemon Pledge, LOL
