Description

Bentley is launching the new fragrance which offers a more intense composition than the original version Bentley for Men from 2013. The first fragrance Bentley for Men was launched together with the edition Bentley for Men Intense, which was followed by promotion of the refreshing (lighter) edition with sea aromas Bentley for Men Azure. As announced, the new perfume Bentley for Men Absolute will contain a stronger composition which highlights flavors of wood and spices.

As an extremely masculine, woody-oriental fragrance Bentley for Men Absolute offers the mysterious and intense character of oud, leaving a trail of sophisticated essences. Top notes encompass a vigorous blend of ginger, pink pepper and olibanum, followed by scents of papyrus, sandalwood and Atlas cedar in the heart of the composition. The base warms us additionally with amber, intense oud and moss.

The fragrance arrives in a bottle shaped like the previous editions for men, in the amount of 100 ml Eau de Toilette. Unlike the previous flacons, the new edition arrives in matte black glass combined with golden color details.

Bentley For Men Absolute was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Michel Almairac.

Wow, I own all three, and this is great, hard to tell the difference between this and my 500 dollar bottle of GPH 1, and better performance than CDG man2.
10/10 when you consider it’s 50 bucks, highly recommend this.

I have some GPH left over with me and to me, this is the perfect replacement for the discontinued gem. Smells similar from the first spray and on me it lasts longer then GPH. A must have for everyone missing GPH. Since this is Perfume concentration so sits closer to skin unless one over sprays.
Overall a great perfume and a must have for GPH lovers.
Will surely get another bottle of this.

@ oldspice- 100% agree with you!! encre noir extreme is way nicer at less $$ too. This has too much cedar for me and leaves me cold and rather blah. Its a very soft skin scent so dont expect people to compliment you or notice.
Even nuit de issey rocks over this.

As others have said, Bentley Absolute smells exactly like Gucci Pour Homme. Heavy, dry cedar and oud and some incense spices. Performance seems better than I remember with Gucci PH, lasts 8-12 hours and good projection.
This is not my favorite of the woody incense type, I prefer Lalique Encre Noire Extreme and others. I also prefer Bentley Intense over Absolute but Absolute is still a quality fragrance. A must try for anyone who misses Gucci PH.

i bought it in wrong season (around may/june) and tested the longevity and the smell and didn´t like it (it smelled like the old damped church chairs)
now it´s the fall: and the season is perfect for spraying it on a coat … good moody vibe for lower temperature and cold foggy days … it adds that moody atmosphere 🙂

A Must Get if your travels took you here. So suprising … Deep woods, rain, resin, masculine for sure, and a ton of wood pull, takes you deeper into the woods..one spray adds a mystery, a couple, darker, deeper… Evening/night parfum, or very cold winter day or night…good for dark crowds, and quiet evenings…
I was shocked from Bentley!, now 2 superb (add Intense to this set!). Top Notch!

I remarked a couple of features before blind buying this perfume:
    – Reviewers I trust claimed it to be similar to Gucci 1. The notes are comparable and both have been created by Michel Almairac.
    – It seemed that the oud note was not dominant.
Since I run out of Gucci1 six years ago, I have been trying to find a substitute. I refuse to pay 300 Euros or so for one of the rare offers that we may still encounter in EBay. Well, Bentley Absolute is not a xerox copy of Gucci1 but it’s a nice substitute giving me the same olfactory feel. For this purpose I also use DSquared2 Potion.
I like oud but more than 90% of the oud fragrances I own are oud dominant. Lately I am trying to experiment fragrances where the oud note plays an important part but is not the dominant note like in Noir de Noir or Black Vanilla Absolute. And yes, Bentley Absolute totally meets this criteria.
Red pepper, incense (olibanum), ginger, woods, amber and oud are the main notes I pick from this fragrance.
The pepperish opening with strong frankincense and ginger notes is quite pleasant. A dry woods accord does developp a little later with the papyrus and cedar notes.
The initial notes are quite persistant, specially frankincense, and everithing is framed together with amber and oud in the last development. In this phase I do notice some similarity with Halston Amber.
The fragrance is a balsamic, resinous and smoky almost permanently I really love it this way. The blending is perfect.
The drydown is a bit on the soft side. Actually the perfume is not prominent in any stage, The performance is average. With the listed notes I expected Bentley Absolute to be a little bolder.
    Now the mathematical final examination:
    – Scent opening 10.0
    – Scent Dry Down 9.5
    – Longevity 8.0 (up to 8 hours on my skin, with 3 sprays)
    – Sillage 8.0 (sillage peaks up to 5~6 feet; projects for 2.0 hours)
    – Versatility 7.5 (avoid any type of hot temperatures)
    – Usability 8.0 (quite versatile and easy to please, for this type scent. Beach, Gym and any type of hot or swety events are excluded; under spray for dates and intimacy)
    – Compliments 8.5 (it will please a lot of people and not only oriental oud scent lovers. Compliments will happen)
    – Uniqueness 8.0 (The Gucci Pour Homme 1 association is the major drawback for uniqueness; this fragrance also makes me remember Comme des Garçons2 Homme and DSquared2 Potion Man)
    – Quality 10.0 (High qualit ingredients; gorgeous heavy glass bottle, great spray and cap)
    – Presentation 10.0 (really beautiful diamond shaped bottle, extreamly well designed details, stunning deep black flask)
    – Price 9.0 (for my second and most recent bottle – a 100 ml non tester flask – I paid a total €33,90)
    – Average: 8.77/10.00
    between 7 and 8 => above average;
    between 8 and 9 => recommended;
    equal or bigger than 9 => don’t miss it;
    Opinion on “Bentley Absolute”:
A masterpice offering me 3 very well blended accords that I really love: It’s dark, ambery and smoky.
    Blind buy worthy? Yes!
For past and future owners of Bentley Absolute: “I don’t care if it smells like Gucci PH1 or not. This masterpice is awesome on its own! It’s woody, resinous, smoky, ambery and manly… I love it!”

smells like a lighter versions of comme de garcons 2man and le labo vetiver. I have never gotten to smell gucci pour homme but if this smell is a must for niche hay quality, smokey lovers.

Shazam! This one smells like George Dickel No. 12 tastes.
It’s great for when you want to stand or sit around a bonfire with your friends on a cold night and get your drink on.
Although I really and sincerely do appreciate this fragrance as it is…I wish it had a leather note to round it out.
It’s not sweet. The bottle is black for a reason.
Something a pirate would spray on before going out on a date.

Definitely a must have for the lovers of the original Gucci Pour Homme. Blind bought it without a second thought

  15. :

    5 out of 5

Bought it. Like it but different from what I thought. Kind of light vanilla marshmallow smell with less pepperiness than thought. As this is an absolute, the buttery smell lingers – frankinsense? and I mean until the next day or so, and occasionally surprises you with it’s sweet zingy molecule presence well after the drydown stage – perhaps the oud doing it’s work?, i.e. hanging around on your clothes, sprayed area or pillow. An amazing fragrance because of this, but not as manly as I had anticipated. Interestingly, if you know Burberry Brit, it is very similar – Brit may be a slightly more robust and predictable version in my opinion, with a very similar smell.

A rustic wood of modern bias. Balance between the “mossy” tone and the balsamic nuance (sweet-spiced, smoky), which makes it inviting, although mysterious. Sensational.
About the resemblance to Gucci 1, it’s really impressive. Even those who know both can incur in a miss err and palpitate that it is Gucci 1, specially in a blind test. The big difference that will reveal that it is another perfume is the aerated / icy aspect, accused perhaps by the duet ginger / pepper of the Bentley. But this is more noticeable in the opening. In drying, it melts into the heat of the body and the similarity increases. No doubt we have here a financially advantageous way to rescue the longing of those who felt orphaned by the discontinuity of Gucci 1.
    Longevity and sillage are powerful.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

Initial spray is strong synthetic medicinal, not impressed. Reaction from the Mrs was FFS have a shower it’s revolting lol.
This is a strong fragrance, so bang for buck in strength and longevity is spot on.
It’s a good fragrance, but there’s much better out there in the oud world. It’s nothing special.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

    Amazing fragrance and unbelievably under-priced.
    Sophisticated, classy and mysterious.
Very woody with dominant authentic frankincense accord and soft touch of light oud.
More wearable than Bentley intense version.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

I was waiting to put my hands on this perfume and now I have a full bottle. My first impression it was a big blast of Oud; synthetics or whatever but definitely Oud. Just right at the opening I couldn’t tell the conection to GPH but this is not a linear cologne and as the Oud fades away, the fragrance started to show it’s real face: It’s been about 12 years since my last GPH bottle but I remember it so well and this is the most similar clone I’ve tried. I also have a full bottle of CDG 2 Man and it is in the same ball park too but it has a note of Iris, which makes it smell like a candle instead of the Papyrus from the Bentley, which makes it smell like an old book. I see my self alternating these fragrances for a while, but for now I like CDG 2 a little bit more; it performs better.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Most people are probably reading about Bentley Men Absolute for its similarities to GPH and, after a 24 hour test strip A/B test, I’ll say they’re indeed very similar with two points of difference –
    (1) this is rougher overall than GPH mainly due to a very prominent ginger note which, despite being a top note, is out front throughout the life of the scent. The roughness isn’t a bad thing at all though – I think it gives this scent a bold, daring character.
    (2) There is surely a streak of oud in this one. Not nearly as prominent as the ginger, but it’s certainly there.
I also took opinions from a few other people during the A/B test which lead me to believe that GPH would be a better compliment getter.
Even performance wise, I find it similar to GPH – projects at an arms length for about 3 hours and I get whiffs up until about the 8-9 hour mark. The boldness makes me like at least as much (if not it a bit more than) GPH.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

This is absolute for Men and this is absolute excellence!
Such a rich concoction and real quality juice that needs no talking up. Seriously, blind buy if you haven’t tried this, I did, you cant not like it.
It reeks of class and sophistication, and at the same time can appeal to the masses. Defo a wintery/night scent but WOW this is gorgeous!
    9.5/10

  25. :

    3 out of 5

A very rich and interesting scent. This fragrance is almost on niche level with it’s type of ingredients. The spices, woods, and incense blend beautifully together. With GPH I being discontinued, thank God for Michel Almairac for coming up with this fragrance. If I’m not mistaken, he was also involved in creating GPH I back in 2003. They may not smell one-hundred percent identical, but they’re close enough.
    Scent: 8.5 / 10
    Projection: 7 / 10
    Longevity: 8 / 10

Great observation mate! Some people absolutely try to misled the public with forced scarcity tactics.
Of curse because they have a financial objective or they just try to justify paying an absurd price for their bottle of GPH.
I only dream Bentley will bring back Envy too. Imagine that.

Current Owners of Gucci PH: “This smells nothing like it.”
Former Owners of Gucci PH: “Wow, the magic is back! This is a clone (or near clone) of Gucci PH.
Sellers of Gucci PH: “Best fragrance ever made for just $500! The Bentley Absolute does not compare. Hurry the Gucci won’t last!”
New Owners of Bentley Absolute: “I don’t care if this smells like Gucci or not, this juice is awesome! It’s woody, smoky and manly… love it!”
    Enough said.

If you are a librarian or working in a bookstore this scent will help you sell more 😉
It smells pleasantly of dry (old) paper and pencil shavings. As I see the chart, most users voted it as a night scent, I’m sorry but I can’t see myself wearing BA at night activities like clubbing, meeting friends and so. Yes, it lasts long but the sillage is low and close to skin the bitterness of Oud feels very sharply, IMHO it is not suitable for cuddling and other ‘close encounters’ with somebody.
I’d recommend it as a safe for work scent, applying just 2 max. 3 sprays.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

This fragrance is dominated by the smell of oud and balsamic. I agree that some people say that the smell of oud likes the smell of pencil shave and carpenter’s shop. So that this fragrance was made exclusively for Middle East. This fragrance is also very different from Gucci Pour Homme. GPH is far fresher than Bentley Absolute.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Review for full black bottle. I also saw a full silver bottle Bentley for Men Absolute on fragrencenet, and curious if there are differences.
From first sniff this shouts quality and masculinity! This smells like a carpenter’s shop, sliced and cut woods – Agarwood is the most dominant one and you still get a good hint of Cedar and Ginger.
It’s very dry but also fresh, immediately rang bells on the category of CdG Man 2, CdG Wonderwood and maybe Lalique Encre Noire / Encre Noire a L’extreme.
This can be layered perfectly with somewhat sweeter woody scents, I guess results would be very interesting.
A very nice scent from a luxurious car company, and all my prejudgements on “car company scents” are broken down by Bentley Absolute.
Performance-wise it feels good, will update after couple of days use.
Update: I wore it to the office and it projects well, without being cloying. Now I must say I do overspray a bit, in this case 4-5 sprays in total including a one-two spray to the shirt. I got an easy 6 hours that I could still get whiffs of it. It’s dry, so don’t expect something that sticks monsterously to whatever you spray onto. Very satisfied!
Update 2: This stuff is almost identical to Gucci PH. I am doing a test, Gucci PH on one arm and Bentley Absolute on the other. People, we have a winner. Honestly, I prefer Bentley over Gucci PH, somehow Gucci is weaker compared to Bentley and I get a more complex stuff from Bentley. Maybe the Gucci PH tester I have did not age well. I can’t know, but I do know Bentley Absolute smells very similar, and regardless of Gucci PH, I would still love Bentley Absolute. Amazing stuff.

    @Knightofwands
The parallels are being drawn with Gucci Pour Homme 1 only. The blue bottle is different indeed. And though its been a while since i have smelled GPH1, the fragrance of Bentley for Men Absolute is reminiscent of it to a great extent.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

The love of my life, GPH 1, reincarnated. GPH1 was perfection and I thank Bentley from the bottom of my heart for this reunion.
    A work of Art!

  34. :

@DarkNotes: I think the one with the golden top is exclusive to Harrods, the black one is the middle-eastern release.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

@Goskan The bottle is a shiny black glass, it just looks blue or metallic in some photos. There was an exclusive release initially in the Middle East with a gold cap but I believe they are all solid black now.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Quick question, is there a difference between black and blue bottle?

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Old Bentley cars had engines that poured out a majestic rumbling noise of urgency as if they were Royal Elephants late for work.
Sadly Bentley for men Absolute doesn’t smell like that. In fact it is even less a thundering chariot of pomposity than Bentley for men intense Edp which also underwhelms in power.
After months of owning and testing – here is my final verdict below:
Smells a bit like thinned down ink, dark and a bit wet. Perhaps mixed with ground up tree bark. I don’t know and I don’t care.
Totally inferior in every respect except “mild weirdness” to Bentley pour homme intense which is suitable for the classic gentleman on a budget.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Amazing scent, slightly different then GPH 1. My choice for this winter.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

This is a comment and not a review for Bentley Absolute – all black bottle:
Bought this one blindly because of comments advise a big similarity with Gucci pour homme 1 which I never put my hands on.
Strangely, Fragrantica and users didn’t mention incense note here, but I found it clearly dominant. If we check GPH notes, we find the incense at the first place.
Anyways, It’s a very nice masculin scent, but unfortunately, projection and longivity are so moderate -3 hours and became so close to skin (maybe I got the worst batch or maybe bottles with golden top are more performant).
Nice packeging and bottle design, heavy metal cap, but the size of the sprayer is not proportional to the bottle, which bothers me a lot.
I read somewhere here, to get the smell of GPH you have to relay with Bentley intense, and this is what I’m planning to do.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

the comparisons to GPH 1 made me pick up this gem… and the other reviewers are correct…
Out of bottle… holy mother of god… this is GPH-1
1.5 hrs into the journey, this morphs into a drydown similar to the now discontinued ROCHAS LUI. There is a smokiness, woodsy, piney aroma; masculine and rustic, very clean
6 hrs and now all I get is Juniper, pepper, and hint of powdery cedar..It is is a very well behaved scent and does not radiate far.
I love it… and highly recommend it

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Wow, this is a powerful, dark scent. Dry, sharp, pungent, oudy, inky, rubbery, plasticky. GPH I wasn’t like this if my memory serves me correctly. It was brighter, had more amber and a richer, smoother cedar.
This is a weird scent, but I love it, I think it’s a masterpiece, in league with Encre Noir.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

@Wolf13 This is too sweet? Says a man who own Eros and Ultra Zest. LOL!
I honestly don’t get any sweetness here. Maybe just a pinch but is so well blended.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

    Tested side by side.
Yes, similar but for me personally they’re too different. The prices for Gucci PH I are astronomical and I hoped this would’ve been a worthy replacement but the magic simply isn’t there.
Bentley Absolute is essentially an oud scent and that is what breaks the deal for me. Was the oud removed from the pyramid vóila you’d have nearly the perfect clone of PH I. Like others have mentioned the opening is very different but drydown is relatable to that of Gucci. BA is dry, herbal, very sharp (papyrus) whereas GPH I is sweeter, softer and has a freshness of freshly cut wood. Review below by Anand_R is spot on this.
Don’t get me wrong. If I were to receive a bottle for free I’d definitely wear the hell out of this but it won’t replace GPH I for me. HOWEVER if you are an oud-junkie unlike me, you definitely will love this. I’ve sounded maybe a bit harsh so let’s end this review with a very positive thought:
Bentley Absolute = Gucci PH I + YSL M7. Every perfume collector’s wet dream?
    *edit*
Now that the scents have matured a few hours on my skin I can admit that they’ve become nearly identical. The dreaded oud is gone and Bentley Absolute seems to be even stronger and more defined than Gucci PH I. I take half of my words back!

  44. :

I’ve haven’t gotten my nose on Gucci Pour Homme, but this stuff is outstanding. It has a baby shampoo freshness to it. The oud is noticeable. The incense is pleasant and not overwhelming. Perfect scent for work. Gentlemanly, but not boring. Excellent daily driver.

Somebody at Bentley Fragrances really liked Gucci Pour Homme! When I’ve smelled Bentley Intense first time I was instantly reminded to GPH, even if that wasn’t that similar to call it a clone. But certainly had something from the Gucci.
And now they decided to bring it back in its full glory! They even hired GPH perfumer, sir Michel Almairac!
Of course is not 100% GPH, but it’s just as good and definitely have the same DNA, plus is an EDP now! I never knew I gonna like an incense based fragrance that much. It’s more an acquiring taste, that’s for sure.
Very woody, dry and manly. Too bad that the performances on my skin are a bit too shy, but I guess is better like that, this is not a fragrance that I wanted to scream anyway.
    Smell 10/10
    Performances 6/10

  49. :

    5 out of 5

We all know this as the Gucci clone, but I’ve always felt it didn’t quite match up, like it was missing something. The warm ambery base of GPH isn’t there, most noticeable when both scents dry down.
In wearing Bentley Intense, I noticed that as it dried down, it resembled Gucci PH as well. Its opening is nowhere similar however.
Today I decided to experiment, wearing Bentley Intense and then applying Bentley Absolute several hours later.
The result is 100% Gucci Pour Homme.
Bentley Absolute is a wonderful scent in its own right, but if you were hoping for the most accurate Gucci clone, try the combo trick.

  50. :

    3 out of 5

Unlike my mediocre feelings towards Bentley for Men Intense, I really love this one.
As many before me have already noted this is a very similar fragrance to Gucci Pour Homme 1; but there are some subtle differences. For one, while this has very respectable longevity on my skin (especially in today’s market) it doesn’t match the sheer magnitude of the 24 hour plus longevity I still get from the Gucci. That said, this is by no means lacking in longevity. I still get a good 7 or 8 hours out of the Bentley.
The scent itself has already been described in great detail, so I will just say that I agree that it is predominantly a woody incense scent with a touch of sweetness (but not as much as the Gucci).

  51. :

This is a powerhouse. I tried it at the store, stepped out in 36 degrees, cooked a meal, hit the gym, took a shower and yet the fragrance was still on my forearm. It has a very mysterious fragrance of spices and oud. Try it before you buy it. Worth every penny
    scent 9.5/10
    longevity 9.5/10
    projection 8.5/10
    overall 9/10

Bought my bottle shipped from middle east this summer and added it to my winter rotation. Tested it a few times and like it a lot. Very manly scent, reminds me of sitting by a campfire on a cooler autumn day. It’s not beast mode by any means, on me it sits close to the skin within 1 hour after application. It’s Spicey, woody and a little dirty… there’s nothing fresh, sweet or clean about this fragrance. Great idea from the reviewer below suggesting to sweeten it up with a touch of The One. Another fragrance to layer Bentley Absolute with is LIDGE. It gives it a unique, classy and very masculine take of this wonderful juice. 8.5/10

I recently received my bottle and I have been wearing this exclusivly for a week now and all I can say is WOW! I have owned and used gucci pour homme(original) and I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was different to any other designer houses pour homme derivatives, it was dry, extremely woody with an amber nuance in the background..a true masterpiece. Bentley absolute to my nose at least shares many of the same characteristics as the gucci with its dry woodiness and an amber background but bentley had a small amount of sweetness fading in and out as the scent dries down, it also is superior in the performance department bother out lasting and protecting better and with better sillage. Bentley I find is easier to wear than the gucci because of the small amount of sweetness which probably comes from the amber and ginger and is a perfect replacment for the discontinued gucci…for me bentley is a perfect woody scent that’s blended to perfection…well done bentley

I’ve heard the pencil shavings comparison and I see where it comes from. But I also get like a tea vibe from it. Not sure what is causing that but its amazing. I like this better than Bentley Intense and I love that frag. I even get the dna of the Intense in this just toned down.

UNREAL, one word – UNREAL. How Michel Almairac managed to smuggle the Gucci pour Homme formula 15 years later into a car company fragrance bottle is remarkable. This is easily the best oriental released in a decade and it proves miracles and integrity exist still.
Gucci will be sorely pissed and, mind you, this will be highly addictive stuff.

Takes a couple wears to fully appreciate but Bentley for Men Absolute is a truly gorgeous fragrance. (I have the all black bottle)
Lower projection and longevity (compared to the others in this brand) as it is more discreet, Chicago Tony T is spot on, it is more like an oil and performs as such, very much for a gentleman who doesn’t need to broadcast his presence.
Tone wise this starts off sharp then settles to soft and calming woods with spices.
This is good with a spray on your clothes, because it sits close you can sometimes forget it’s there, when I put on a t-shirt in the morning from the night before I thought wow, what a stunning smell.
This is going to be one of those scents that has your girlfriend stealing your t-shirt to have near her when you’re not about (we know you do that sometimes ladies! lol)

I have just received my (all-black) bottle of the Bentley For Men Absolute, and I can confirm the extreme similarity with the GPH. It really seems to have a better performance, and for me it is a safe replacement for the discontinued GPH. Very good, I am happy now. I can even detect a slight vibe of a ‘Montale-sque’ oud in the background, which was probably not present in GPH.

    I’m back…
Just recieved a 2ml decant of GpH1 from a friend. Now I can confirm that Bentley for Men Absolute and Gucci pour Homme I are almost identical as mentioned by many people in here or in BN.
If you allow me to be a fusspot, I would say the biggest difference between two of those should be the liquid colors that they used in. The Bentley is about a transparent color with tiny a bit yellow, while the Gucci has a light amber color. POOHHH…
Okay, let’s go back to work. There are several de facto differences as follows:
    (1) Bentley’s opening is a little more herbal, and a little dryer due to the extra olibanum.
    (2) Bentley’s middle notes approximately equals to Gucci’s drydown, by that I mean Gucci does not have a distinctive middle/base changes but Bentley does, and Bentley is much more lasting and sophisticated.
    (3) After 6-8 hrs, Bentley has a slight oudy nuance like that of in the new YSL M7 Oud Absolu. But it is not easy to notice unless you sniff very hard. By that time, Gucci becomes a skin scent already.
    (4) Bentley lasts for 12-18 hrs with 4-6 hrs decent projection, and Gucci lasts 8-10 hrs with 2-3 hrs poor projection.
All in all, the similarity between these two, I would say, is about 80%-85%. And the rest 15%-20% accounts for that the Bentley is a little richer and with more depth.Ratings:9.0/10 for Bentley for Men Absolute #Yes, I raised its rating! 8.5/10 for Gucci pour Homme I10/10 for the nose Michel Almairac behind these two fabulous frags.
————-I’ve heard about there are two versions of Bentley Absolute. The version I tested in here is a black cap bottle, i.e. the Middle-East / Gulf States edition.

Definately a hidden gem from a designer house with niche quality!
I don’t know what does Gucci pour Homme I smell like, but I do really love this one. And it cannot make me satisfied more!
The opening is oriental / herbal / dry / spicy, and does share something in common with Etro Messe de Minuit . One can roughly get this by replacing the cinnamon in MdM with the papyrus, introducing a dozen of frankincense, and besides smoothening the overwhelming incense note in MdM.
The drydown develops into a richer and sophisticated and long-lasting modification of LAP Passage d’Enfer with balsamic and herbal accords enhanced, which is the best part and also what the sillage smells like.
IMO, this is a fantasic combination of Etro MdM and LAP PdE, and conveniently improved all the aspects that I dislike in those two frags. Nice done, Bentley!
Although it has a few resemblence with some other frags, but still stands on its own and very special for sure.
Longevity: 12+ hours on my skin, and 2-3 days on clothes.
Projection: 5+ feet for the first 3-4 hours.
    Sillage: Decent. Rating: 8.5-9.0/10
—–Nose: Michel Almairac. He also composed some other famous incense frags, such as Gucci Pour Homme I, Armani Prive Bois d’Encens.

    I’ll update this review when I get GpH1 decant.…………………………………………………………To be continued…

Special thanks to sharmap14 for the heads up on fragrancebuy.ca, great website. Makes fragrancex and the other us sites useless unless our dollar gains par. But enough of that.
Simply put, to me this is the replacement for Gucci Homme. No doubt.
I have a coveted bottle of gph1 but it’s now just another bottle to be used.
I honestly (I know many will hate this) would rather use up my ghp1 before the Bentley absolute
Gph1 for casual wear, Bentley for a special night out. *dodges bullets*
First off its strong. I have the black cap and two sprays is honestly like 5-6 of the Gucci.
It’s starts of different. If you own Encre Noir you’ll be r
