Description
Benetton Verde, Benetton Rosso, Benetton Giallo and Benetton Blu are five new fragrances by the house of Benetton presented in collection Colori 2010. Two fragrances are editions for women and other two aim at men.
The house of Benetton bases their creation, collection and games on colours. Designers of the house create in honour of variety offered by our world. Colour is a universal means of communication and each colour has separate meaning in different cultures.
Uniting colours and fragrance is not an unusual step by Benetton. Cheerful combination of creativity, universality and youth offers new compositions and new contents. Red, yellow, green and blue are closely connected with certain feelings, locations, plants, flowers, as a combination of picture and emotion. Red suggests red berries, strength, passion, rose flower; yellow reminds of us summer, stars, energy and gold; green is the colour of hope, football, nature, mint leaves; green associates of jeans, ocean, freedom and peace.
Each flacon is marked with a special colour created as an unfinished graffiti. Painting with colour suggests a spontaneous gesture which unifies all cultures and generations. Design Studio Fabrica created flacon for the Benetton Colori collection.
Benetton Giallo Woman – lively colour of the Sun which fills the world with light and life. This colour is presented with drops of water, red berries, anise, mint blossom, lotus and violet in velvety embrace of peach. A base encompasses tonka, vanilla and musk wrapped with sensual aromas of blond wood. Yellow is the optimistic colour of happiness and energy.
All four fragrances are available as 30ml EDT. An accompanying collection encompasses deodorants carrying the same aromas. Available from the beginning of 2010!

This is quite a pleasant cologne type spray, a fresh and uplifting balance of mint and anise with subtle rose but too watered down and not very long lasting. Had it more staying power I would have bought back ups given it is discontinued.

This scent smells of yellow flowers to my nose. I tried the fragrance at first, it smelt floral soft etc. I went by that and got myself the deo. Man did it send me for a tailspin. Turned very strong and heady, aromatic, almost masculine. But I enjoyed it that way as well.

For the price, this one is great. Light, airy, sweet, flowery. Not quite a signature scent, but good for everyday use. Very nice for teenagers and young adults looking for a perfume they can spritz before going to office or school. Worth buying.
Silage is soft and it only lasts for 3 hours top, but you won’t mind reapplying (and buying it again).

Very mediocre. I bought it because of the reviews I read, but it’s really not a remarkable smell.

Vie Cafe: sunflowers DO have a smell, a very bad one, especially when you keep them inside

I have decided to invest in a small bottle since many compare it to Givenchy Very Irresistable which I loved but is a bit heavy on my pocket right now. I have owned a few Benetton fragrances and so wish they made this in EDP. I generally find their fragrances have poor longevity and will expect the same here. I owned Rosso and didn’t like that. I bought Benetton HOT because it resembles Chanel Allure. It does not smell as expensive as Allure or last as long, but it’s a good enough fit and for a song provided you regularly reapply.
EDIT: I don’t recall who compared this to Givenchy Very Irresistable. I don’t agree. This is CD J’Adore in a cheapskate bottle. I’d love to find a good Very Irresistable dupe! What a gorgeous fragrance that is.

Had a tester a few years ago, too floral/fresh for my taste. i’m a little bit sketchy with florals

As soft, powdery and gentle as this one becomes, it definitely smells unisex. The watery notes are somewhat sharp and especially so mixed with the Mint (which also really stands out from initial spritz through the drydown.) Although I cannot detect much in the way of Anise (it’s very subtle to my nose)I think it may be lending to the “sharpness” too….creating an initially strong then underlying “men’s cologne” sort of feel.
Don’t get me wrong….it’s still very feminine with a soft, fuzzy/fizzy glow. As Giallo dries down, the red berries and peach are evident but are tempered and softened by Violet,Tonka bean and Vanilla…the Mint still lingers. Fortunately, the musk has not been a prominent note for me and neither do I smell any rose.
Over all, this is a nice soft, fairly unique scent that stays close to the skin and seems to last for a few hours on me. The price was amazing ( $9.99 at TJMAXX for a 3.4oz bottle.) The bottle is sleek and hefty and of course the Benetton packaging is fun however this is supposed to evoke the smell of the color YELLOW. For me it is more of a muted CHARTREUSE….maybe even soft PEAR (the color PEAR that is..not the scent.) Naturally, when I think of YELLOW, I think of LOUDNESS and possibly the sourness of lemons or the hot, dryness of the sun. Giallo is soft and sparkling with a masculine edge and it does not scream at the wearer or it’s audience in any way.I will wear this happily but can’t see myself repurchasing if this bottle ever empties.
It vaguely reminds me of AV by Adrienne Vittadini but less powdery.

I smelled nothing but rubbing alcohol and hairspray on me, maybe with a little sweetness at the beginning. I got a sachet sample and slashed a generous amount on my chest and my inner elbow. Unfortunately, as with a lot of aquatic/marine fragrances, it did not work with my chemistry and the alcohol smell disappeared after about 3 hours.

Very pleasant fragrance. Smells a lot like Very Irresistible from Givenchy.
It’s a very good purchase. It smells nice and costs little.
EDIT: It doesn’t last too long though.

Hmm, very interesting. Without containing a drop of either note, Benetton Giallo smells amazingly like cotton blossom and mimose (tied together with a licorice whip.)
I would not discribe GIALLO as either soapy or powdery, nor is it overly fresh. Yet it IS incredibly clean smelling.
Light, airy, mildly sweet.”Angelic” or “babylike” are the words that come to mind.
Yes, I’m pretty sure that if sheer, pastel yellow had a smell, this would be
it
FYI,
For those of you who don’t like perfumy smells, you may want to try this one.

mild…pretty and amazing smell…i love it..
i get a lot of water notes and some berries…
Vikusik2010 – :
Me too, I smell mimosa!
A soft, sunny floral fragrance with peach and light woody nuances.
Huge bottle and staying power of over 4 hours is great for this price.

I decided to pick up a couple of Benetton perfumes just for the fun of it, having for many years now been of the opinion that they could not possibly create anything worth wearing. I think that this prejudice may have begun with the bottle of COLORS given to me by one of my sisters who at the time was working as a Benetton store manager. I never wore it, and honestly have no idea what it smells like, despite the fact that it sat in my armoire for years, ready at hand and ready to spritz. Was it the green glass bottle? Or the gimmicky quality in general of the Benetton brand? They were, after all, the original global advertisers. Don’t know. At some point I apparently threw the bottle away, though I noticed at one of my favorite online emporia that a large tester of COLORS is now going for single-digit dollars.
Not wanting to risk erroneously upbraiding Benetton for old, stale perfume that has sat in a warehouse for years, I decided that my fresh sniff of this house should involve some of their newer perfumes. Enter BENETTON GIALLO, launched in 2010. GIALLO is a light mimosa-like fragrance which is surprisingly nice—given the price. It’s really not a chemical soup at all, much less so, in fact, than many recently launched and massively advertised perfumes for which, to my amazement, many people appear prepared to hand over quite a chunk of change. This composition really does not smell synthetic to me at all except on the very edges. Overall, it’s a perfectly fine experience to wear GIALLO.
The sillage is fairly low, and the longevity is mediocre, but in part for those reasons this makes a good summertime scent. Not too serious or heavy, but with quite likeable notes. I actually think that this is as good as Guerlain Acqua Allegoria Tiare Mimosa. Of course, I am of the opinion that Guerlain has been invaded by corporate accountants and industrial chemists who have lost all sight of the art of perfume, so perhaps that’s not such high praise. In any case, GIALLO is wearable, and I shall wear it until it is gone, though I don’t see a second bottle in my future. Speaking of bottles: this one is nice, made of thick, substantial, seamless glass. I also like the boxes with their random assortment of color-inspired words. I can definitely recommend this creation to people who just want to smell good. Very inoffensive and even rather likeable.

Similar to Very Irresistible. It’s mild like cotton. Good for spring time. I’d have thought it had mimosa. Nice.
