Description

Nina Ricci presents the new fragrance called Bella in May 2018, as the new heroine of Les Belles de Nina, which includes editions of Nina (2006) and Luna (2016). Les Belles de Nina Bella is the third chapter in the saga of modern princesses.

The fragrance is a fresh and vibrant acidic floral-fruity, dominated by “indulgent” rhubarb and the “romantic femininity” of Rose Jelly notes. The sweet and green accord of rhubarb consists of green citrus notes, rhubarb itself and vanilla. The Rose Jelly accord includes aromas of rose, freesia and white musk.

The bottle keeps the signature apple shape of the line, this time decorated in pop green, which is intending to be daring and magnetic. Golden leaves and a ladybug adorn the top of the bottle. Nina Ricci Bella is available as 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Toilette.

Bella was created by Louise Turner and Sonia Constant.

Right, I tried this one today and I must say that when sniffing the bottle, it did smell quite a lot like Liberty Fizz (which is incidentally one of favourite scents ever).
However, just a warning to potential blind buyers, this is extremely sweet as several people already said in their reviews. Sure, it does smell a bit green and sour like LF, but in my opinion, the comparison stops there.
    Disappointed.

I tested this after reading reviews to see if it was reminiscent of Les Belles De Ricci Liberty fizz. Sadly I don’t think it smells like it at all….. It has the same fresh and fruity feel in a way, but the actual scent is very different. Almost like the difference between a fresh apple and a candy apple if that makes sense?! This smells like so many other fruity perfumes that I’ve forgotten the name of after testing. Nice, but not special or particularly original to my nose.
I have the same problem with all of the new Nina Ricci scents; they are sickly sweet. This perfume does have a slight tartness at first because Rhubarb is obviously quite sharp, but the addition of the vanilla makes it a very syrupy sweetness. Think Rhubarb and custard specifically.
Liberty fizz has the pure and acidic sweetness that you get from Raspberries, blackcurrants and tomato as well as green grassyness. It’s sweetness comes from the subtle florals in it (think sweet freesias!), rather than from sugar and vanilla, so it is a very different scent indeed.
I’m sad because I thought maybe Nina Ricci were finally trying to re-release Liberty fizz but in a different bottle. Sadly not 🙁

I went through 3 bottles of Nina Ricci Les Belles Liberty Fizz alone and it’s sibilings (the blue bottle and yellow bottle) when I was a teenager. Those were my signature scents! Liberty Fizz has a more vegetal, greener, sparklier opening than this one, the rest seems to be the same. I also think the bottle design and packaging of the old Les Belles series were way better than this one. Although the bottle might be cute, it doesn’t have the same luxurious feeling when I held it in my palms, not as well made like it used to be. From the iconic L’Air du Temps bottle to this one, I am sadden to say it’s really going downhill. Just like Guerlain and Dior, and everything else 🙁
I’m going to get a miniature of this.

Have not yet bought, but tested in boots the other day and YES – Its identical to Liberty Fizz from the 90s …. so happy they have ‘re-released this scent as I missed it so much and there was nothing similar out there (except for an obscure niche scent out of budget).
Best release of the year , unique and different to all those samey frags.

This smells like salted apple cake, despite the rhubarb note. A fresh and sweet perfume at the same time. Lasts a long time. I believe it stands out among other fragrances, but not too original. Just a nice everyday scent 🙂

Green citrous peel. Feminine freesia, rhubarb and vanilla. Somewhat plastic-y weak rose in background. Cute, feminine, slightly romantic and in a way cozy perfume. We have rhubarbs growing in garden, this is not exactly realistic rhubarb scent. On my skin it’s mainly citrous, vanilla and floral, while rhubarb is rather blended in. Overall little bit synthetic, but not much. Sweet gourmand what is balanced by refreshing citrous and sour notes. Soft silage, close to skin.
It’s like in summer citrous and rhubarb drink. Next to it is some vanilla cake. From window soft, warm breeze is carrying floral scent.
Some compared it with Mugler Aura. This is not like Aura, besides that they both have idea of green and rhubarb. This is less synthetic, a lot more subtle wearable, feminine, with citrous note. At best they both could be some far cousins who never seen each other.
Will fit most ages. Not entirely office neutral, but possible. This perfume will be perfect for late spring and summer. I can imagine that this perfume can be uplifting in rainy summer day.
Silage and longevity could be improved.

Love the bottle. Unfortunately, the scent must be the most un-rhubarby rhubarb scent I’ve ever encountered. No way is it similar to the Hermes one. In fact I had forgotten this was supposed to be a rhubarb scent when I tried it. And the scent did not remind me. Nor did it strike me as fresh, or sour, or green.
Overpoweringly sweet, not in a flat way but not overly complex either, syrupy-clingy in 30 centigrade heat. Had to wash it off not because it was offensive in itself, just couldn’t stand the sweetness because of the heat. Perhaps it will develop differently in cooler situations?
And I’m a rhubarb fan (the best one this far, I think, has been Burberry Brit Red, still regret not buying it back then) and also I do find the Nina that started this long chain of flankers, quite pleasant (although it is so very much not like me, that I feel embarrassed when wearing it).

Over the moon that this is like liberty fizz….missed that perfume so much.
    Blind buying it!!

OMG, this bottle is just fabulously amazingly incredibly beautiful! I wish I could have it just for the bottle 🙂
The juice inside is not so original, it starts crispy and sour with rhabarber and gets sweeter in a few minutes, but not in a sugary, but rather in a nectar or honey way.
I used to have a Fruttini strawberry-starfruit body splash that smelled almost like this a loooong time ago.
Lasting power is decent, about 4-5 hours.
Will not buy it for myself, as my husband does not like it and I think it fits a pretty teenage girl better.

It starts off very sour and green, like a green apple, but soon becomes a lot sweeter. It’s an interesting fruity fresh scent.

This is an interesting scent, as rhubarb scents usually are.
Sour and sweet, reminds me of jam or rhubarb cake.
It’s quite nice, somehow reminds me of Christmas too.
    Juicy and fruity.
I also really like the green version of the bottle.
This is much better than the one’s with the faces on the bottles.

This is the cutest bottle I’ve seen in a while…
but not only cute; it feels precious and contains one of the loveliest scents I ever tried…
It’s been a while since I stopped looking for a perfume that is unique, complicated, artistic… I just want something that smells good and fills me with pleasure.
Bella by Nina Ricci delivers, it is a fresh, fruity, not too sweet scent full of joy.
On my skin it is similar to Hermes Eau De Rhubarbe but better, longer lasting and a bit louder.
I tried it again and again and I smiled each time…
I am getting a bottle of Bella soon- I actually can’t wait!!!

The bottle up close is very cute, beautiful girly decoration on your dressing table. Scentwise, Bella is not very complex. Rather linear, rhubarb centered, sweet and sour at the same time, too fruity, with shampoo vibes, and of course vanilla is everpresent. Smells like a fruity drink, summery and tropical. In the end it’s your typical girly girl perfume. Stays close to the skin and lasts literally until next day.
    I don’t need it

I’ll agree that Bella is nothing like Aura (I tried them both at the same time). It’s more a sweeter, bolder, juicier cousin of Hermes Rhubarbe Ecarlate.

Like craftymaya said: it is very similar to the nineties Nina Ricci perfume Liberté acidulé. It’s a very nice tart smell with a little bit of sweetness behind it. And what a beautifull bottle!

OMG it is so similar to one of Nina Ricci’s previous perfume (which I loved!): Liberty Fizz (liberte Acidulee!!). It is a fresh, juicy, sweet and clean scent. The rhubarb here is not sour, rather slightly sweet. Please, NO COMPARISON with the medicinal Aura (Thierry Mugler)!! no.
Youthful and fun. If you loved once Liberty Fizz… that is really incredibly close! Bottle is stunning! But, $70 at the airport… Traveling again in July, will get another bottle!

Fresh, green, raw, crispy & juicy rhubarb /but without that typical strong, tart accent/ with a pleasant floral & vanilla undertone. It´s just lightly sweet, utterly versatile fragrance for any occasion. Youthful but elegant.
I can´t find any significant resemblance between Mugler Aura and Bella – it´s like trying to compare absinth with a herbal lemonade.

I REALLY like this bottle and the bug is SUPER cute. I think it is amazing and I really want to try it!!!:)

Any similarities to Ricci Ricci anyone? Any association between the scent and the insect? If this is like weak Hermes rhubarb then its a no no for me. Especially like that green Mugler Alien..like wt..beautiful bottles with scents of detergents. No offence to anybody who like them.

Review is for Bella on a paper strip. This is a green, herbal smell to me. I am only familiar to rhubarb from perfumery, so I only have an intuition of what it smells like exactly, but this for example is different than the rhubarb in Aura Mugler, it’s closer to Hermes. I detect mainly fresh (rhubarb) note, very juicy in that I almost get water in my mouth, and I also get a lot of citrus. Not particularly orange, because this is more green-yellow, juicy but cold. I get very little freesia and no vanilla or rose, and also the musk is very faint to my nose, or at least blended in a very light and airy way. All in all, I think rhubarb fans will like this. I can imagine a woman on the younger side (35 max?) wearing this, as a casual, everyday, outdoors, gym, holiday perfume. I wouldn’t wear it at special occasions nor at work, but I could splash it on after a morning shower in a free day or when having to run errands.

Very nice, realistic rhubarb with a hint of vanilla. Not an extra fan of rhubarb, but I can imagine wearing this one. Drydown remains me of classic Nina. Goog performance in today´s hot weather. And the bottle is stunning!

Please active the voting, it has already been released in Europe, i felt today and it is as very fresh summery fragrance…nothing special but nice, all i could smell was the mix of rhubarb and green mandarine from begin to end and a hint of vanilla.

This is the first time in my sixty-four years I’ve REALLY wanted a fragrance before I could find it anywhere for sale. Roses and rhubarb, with a base of vanilla and white musk… and that glorious bottle! Then, to top it off, there’s a ladybug on the leaf! I must have this.

    Ooooh la! La!
I wonder if it will have similarity to the Hermes fragrance with rhubarb, Rose jelly is delicious. Eastern Europeans have rose jelly and rose jam sold in their food stores it’s delicious! And that green bug on the design is so cute!
    A treasure, completely!
