Description

This is a new Britney Spears fragrance, the second fragrance launched by Britney in 2007. The new fragrance, Believe, is promoted with the slogan, “The greatest freedom is to believe in yourself”. Unlike her previous fragrances, which came in cute, girlish toy-like bottles, Believe comes in a triangular bottle of straight and sharp lines. The green color of the fragrance alludes to its fresh character. Believe is aimed at young and romantic girls.

Update: a friend of mine owns the original bottle of Believe and she let me test it. I am now a believer 🙂 In fact, I take it back what I posted in my previous review about not looking for the original bottle, as I want it for my collection now :))
If you are a fan of green guava and patchouli, and wanna blind buy Believe, make sure to look for the original bottle with the engraved metal plate. The difference is like “day and night” between the original and the reformulated one (the one without the metal plate).
The scent from the original formula is much much better and interesting. It is 50% less sweet, less “powdery” than the reformulation. All the ingredients from both are the same but totally different in ratios. The old one has way MORE fresh patchouli and the guava in it actually is a green guava scent (not ripe guava as in the reformulation). The dry down of the original Believe somehow vaguely reminded me of Jessica Simpson Fancy Night due to the prominent amber note at this stage.
Now since I know how the original scent of Believe smells, I think it suits mature peolpe more than just “young girls”.

Guava, patchouli and praline, that is all I got. I could hardly make out other notes. My bottle is a new reformulated one (without the engraved triangle metal plate). It is sweet, warm, and sorta “powdery”, just enough to win a like from me. BELIEVE is absolutely different than the rest of Britney’s perfumes, especially the Fantasy line which I am not a fan of. Sniffing from my actual bottle, I’m not sure if it is “masculine” enough for men, as I know that my husband would never wear scent like this 🙂 It is not his style, as it lacks of citrus and woods…It is simply too sweet for his taste.
I like my BELIEVE bottle, but am not crazy about the scent enough in order to hunt down and buy the one with the original formula (the bottle that has the metal plate). One thing I know is that I believe they are slightly different in ratios between notes in both compositions, but probably they still share the same DNA/ingredients. BELIEVE is more suitable for evening wear on a cool night. Sillage and longevity are quite good. Another successful blind buy.

This smells of Lime/patchouli and I get a hint of chocolate also. This is a sexy, spicy scent. The boyfriend likes it also. It lasts about 3-4 hours. I would classify this as a night time or going out perfume.

Guys. I have a question. Is it out of production? Here in Russia it isn’t represented in stores. I can buy it only by internet, and the price is growing. So, is it still in production? Thanks

I love Jimmy Choo EDP, Kim Kardashian Gold EDP, Sara Jessica Parker Lovely EDP…, and good number of perfumes that have masculine, citrus/herb/green vibes such as Bebe Nouveau EDP…I do like guava, and patchouli…I am not a fan of Britney Fantasy or Curious lines, or her other perfumes at all (I only own and enjoy Prerogative so far).
After reading all the reviews, I decided to blind buy Believe, for my curiosity of the scent, the bottle design and also the price online was so low (around $20 for the biggest size bottle. It won’t hurt me terribly if I don’t like how it smells. Besides, a nice paperweight already costs more than that. If I don’t like the scent, I can still use the bottle for my desk display :)). I blind bought perfumes from time to time and disliked just a few so far.
Will post my review for Believe soon.

I really like this perfume. It’s so unique and different from all of Britney’s other fragrances. I really think this should have been marketed as a unisex fragrance because guys could totally pull this off. It has a total cologne-y vibe to it 🙂

    The bottle:
Love it!! I love how it looks like a crystal pyramid. Matches with what the scent is inside.
    Inside the bottle:
When sprayed you get a blast of guava then a few seconds later a strong patchouli smell with it. When it dries you can smell the other element that tame the patchouli.
Longevity is VERY long like possibly can stay till the next day.
    Overall:
It’s a great perfume for someone who likes earthy, sweet and strong scents.
If someone who is not a fan a patchouli this scent might be a hit or miss for you. Even though there is a strong smell of patchouli the other notes are able to make it not harsh. It is a very strong scent so if you are a little more sensitive to perfume I would skip this.

This is my least favourite out of Britney Spears perfumes,I use to wear this but i ended up disliking the note in this which smelt like grapefruit to me,Britney usually does nice fragrances but this is one I will not repurchase again.

I could smell the patchouli before I even took this out of the box! But it’s not a heavy, nauseating patch, it’s very fruity-green, and juicy. The dry down is definitely patch dominant, but you can still smell sweet guava and the praline. Honestly I smell zero citrus here. This is definitely a solid like for me. Good for late summer, early fall I think.
If you like fruit-chouli frags, this one’s a keeper! Honestly nothing else really smells like it.
    Scent: 7/10
    Sillage 6/10
    Longevity: 7/10

I’m a mega Britney fan, but have never owned any of her scents. I will admit to having blind bought this mostly as a gag (I’m planning a Britney theme party and thought it would go well with my costume), but I’m actually super happy I grabbed a full size bottle of this. The opening is very true to the listed notes – it definitely smells like a Push Pop or some kind of fruity candy on my skin for about 15-20 minutes. But once the patchouli and lime blossom start to kick in, I get a really interesting spicy floral with a more subtle fruit undertone. All in all, it’s a scent unlike anything else I own, and I definitely will be wearing it again. It’s a nice daytime scent during the spring or summer where I want something light, but still interesting.

On my clothing this scent retains the integrity of the pyramid. On my actual skin is another story. Talk about a serious woody/bitter scent that is quite linear. It just goes straight to that earthy patchouli. No guava, no honeysuckle, no praline.
This is definitely a scent for who it is for. Britney meant it for young girls and that is who should wear it. This radiates so beautifully on my 18-year-old sister who just bought “Believe” on Thursday, having purchased “Curious” last month.
My sister is definitely curious; about life, love and human behaviour in general. Just maybe, this one speaks from the heart. I have no need for this because I don’t spray perfume on my clothes. I believe perfumes should agree with one’s chemistry and “Believe” is not for me. However, my sister raves about it – doesn’t want me to spray from her bottle myself and celebrates owning it. That’s how it should be. Beautiful bottle and presentation too!

Without looking at the cheat sheet first, this smelled like a fruity chocolate to me. It’s a surprising combination of scents and I adore it.
The second spray reminded me of rainbow sherbet.
After the top notes dissipate, the patchouli comes across nice and silky.
The bottle was a must-have for me. I added some of my own charms to it with green rhinestones. Now looking at the pictures online, the bottle looks so naked without added charms.

  13. :

Not the usual sweet and girly offering you get from a Britney fragrance. The initial guava fruit blast, which smells like apples and custard in this to me, gives way to a very pleasant patchouli. It definitely smells “green” as it’s a little sharp after the patchouli takes over. I get patchouli, fruit and amber on dry down. Apple pie and custard followed by a tequila slammer is how this would taste.

This is the ONLY Britney fragrance that I have kept, and believe me (haha) I have bought a few, and have tried many. Every other one has smelled too tart and lasted at most 15 minutes on me (I’m talking all the many, many Fantasies). It must be the DNA of these compositions that just do not work with my chemistry.
But THIS one happily does work for me. I love it. It’s sweet but not overly so. The patch, which I don’t have a problem with in any case, is moderate and goes nicely with the citrus, blends well with the sweet praline and the guava opening. I also love the lime blossom.
It has moderate longevity on my fragrance gobbling skin which I am happy with. I also like that I can smell it on myself for about two hours after application. I’m a believer.

I own quiet a few of britneys fragrances,
The ones I love are, in control, naughty remix, curious, midnight fantasy & hidden fantasy.
You can find em as bargains, this however has no staying power on me.. Unfortunately it smells like a body mist that consist of guava & patchouli, it lingers for about 20 minutes. Then poof all gone.
I actually love the smell at the beginning but it doesn’t last, it’s a no from me britney.

I love Britney’s perfumes and thought this should be another safe blindbuy.
I kind of regret buying a big bottle since it smells like dandelions on my skin. The drydown is dry and a little strange.
I can’t decide if it is a like or dislike.

I’m a fan of Britney Spears perfumes and It was a long time that I wanted to add believe to my collection, but it’s signature perfume of my best friend and I thought if I buy believe she may not like that.so I decided to forget about owning believe.until the day I received it as a birthday gift from her!so now I have an emotional attachment to this perfume.
About the packaging,I like it a lot.wish all perfume boxes opened like this one.it’s bottle is also beautiful and I love the green color of the liquid inside.I usually stay away from green scents so I don’t have too many green bottles.by the way mine doesn’t have metal top
About the scent,it’s not my type at all and it’s very different with other britney perfumes.it opens with fresh fruity notes of guava and tangerine.juicy, refreshing and non sweet but even then I can smell hints of patchouli.patchouli is a tricky note for me.I like it in super sweet scents when there’s just a light touch of it but it’s strong here and as time passes it becomes more and more prominent.the only perfumes I have with such a strong patchouli note are angel, tom ford white patchouli, beyonce midnight heat and rihanna reb’l fleur.I have a like-hate relationship with all four.I find patchouli easier to digest in believe.it’s not a dirty patchouli and not a dusty one.it’s fleshy and green here.
Believe develops differently on my skin in different days.sometimes I can pick up a hint of warm sweetness of amber which rounds the edges a bit and sometimes there’s no sweetness and it stays cold and green.I can’t detect smallest hint of praline in it but I bet I’d like it more if I could.
all in all I won’t call it a sweet perfume.it has some sort of freshness and a green vibe but I can’t call it a real green, fresh scent.it’s fruity but different with mainstream fruity fragrances.it’s original and interesting at the same time easy to wear.I never saw it as a unisex perfume because I associate it with my friend who is a gentle, delicate and graceful young girl.but once I met a man wearing it and I’m home,I didn’t find it vaguely feminine or out of place.
I believe, believe can be used year round but I prefer it for spring.it’s work appropriate and good for casual wear.as mentioned before it’s not my type and I don’t love it but I crave it sometimes and I believe it’s superior to most celebrity offerings.longevity is really good on my skin(also on my friend’s skin).I was able to smell it on her even hours after applying so I assume it’s sillage satisfying
If you’re looking for a fruity scent without much florals or sweetness give it a try

I’d heard there’d been a reformulation but I didn’t confirm it until today.
Original Believe is heavy with linden with guava taking a backseat to both the linden and a lovely breeze of amber hovering over a steady stream of chewy patchouli. Original Believe has a silver metal plate on top of the bottle with a stylized engraved “B”.
REformulated Believe has no metal plate – the top of the bottle is just clear glass. GONE is the beautiful linden that put me in mind of Annick Goutal’s Eau du Ciel. (See my review from 2011 waaaay down the page.) What reformulated Believe has become is a bottle of guava juice with a weak patch tossed in.
If you want to smell something glorious get yourself one of the original bottles with the metal plate before they disappear. The reformulated version is a different fragrance entirely.

  20. :

This is definitely very sweet. The first time I tried it, it was like sniffing undiluted guava cordial. Guava guava guava. Later I found an older tester with the metal plate on the bottle. That was less sweet, and the patchouli came through more, but still super sweet. It’s still 90% guava, 10% patchouli, can’t detect anything else in the notes list. But if you like sweet scents and aren’t too fussed about complexity, it is nice enough. I wouldn’t be paying big dollars for it though. Personally, I scrubbed it both times I tried it.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

It’s a no from me on this one. It’s as if the fragrance can’t decide whether it’s a boozy patchouli perfume like Mauboussin or fruity berry scent like Midnight Fantasy.
It also smells a little bit like cough sweets.
Sillage is soft, longevity is poor.
2 out of 5 stars from me

I was gifted a little bottle of believe from a swap. I don’t like britney spears but I have to admit I really like this perfume. I did not get any weird or strange notes and it’s not green or fresh. On my skin at first blast I get guava…lots of it. Within minutes it becomes musky with fruits and patchouli. After 10 minutes of wearing it I smell like a fluffy pistachio pudding. It smells exactly like pistachio pudding!! It goes back and forth from smelling likes pistachio pudding into a fruity musky Patchouli scent. I love it enough I think I’m going to have to buy a full bottle. sillage is awesome, longevity… I get at least 10 hours. I’m very surprised to find this treasure.

  24. :

An interesting scent from Britney…I love nearly all her perfumes but they are all dessert gourmand, sweet and musky–except for this one! This is a crisp guava/patchouli bomb, nothing like the cupcake comfort of her other scents. The packaging perfectly represents this one, all green sharp angles.
I enjoy this fragrance very much as it reminds me of Angel, an old favorite of mine. The similarities are fleeting though and only from the initial whiff of patchouli.
Longevity and projection are good, I could detect it on myself all day and the next morning.

After the initial burst of guava,I like the way it develops …on my skin stays soft and does not project much.on clothes stays for 4hours or so…suited for office wear…smells nice,no complexity at all.Displays a pleasing personality!

  26. :

This is probably the most unique Britney perfume in my collection
This smells just like the packaging, lots of guava and green notes, slightly sweet, and the patchouli makes this fragrance seem very grown. I wear this whenever I want to feel professional classy or dressy as it’s not overly feminine sweet or synthetic smelling.
    Love it

This is too green for me. Don’t know how else to describe it. Not sure what it smells like on others. It smells like what you’d expect it to smell like, looking at the bottle.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

I work with a young woman who wears this, and Believe compliments her firebrand personality beautifully. To my nose, the patchouli is the biggest distinctive accord here, but the other elements blend to stave off a dirty impression the patch might bring. I have never smelled anything quite like this, and looking at the accords, I would expect something more fruity than this seems. The fragrance is bold and take-no-prisoners, but on the right person, it is bewitching. I would advise wearing this lightly as you test the waters, because the sillage is mighty.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

It’s a fruity green scent. It’s not as hideous as Fantasy etc but I wouldn’t buy it for myself… i might use it if someone gave me for a gift.

Not my favorite of hers but it’s nice. It’s definitely got s masculine unisex side.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

This was a blind buy for me, and I must say I was surprised at the scent. I can totally see how this may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I for one like it (I tend to like masculine scents). It is not at all stinky like TM Angel in my opinion…but it can smell sweaty/dirty if you are wearing it in really hot weather though. Yeah, I’d be careful with that.. Sillage and longevity are moderate. I like it for night time and cooler weather.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

Believe kicks off with a tart fruit note which I love, its like cutting up a citrus fruit, fresh and mouth watering, then it sweetens up, yum.
I have the latest formulation, Made in USA, and its still unbelievably good.
So are Midnight Fantasy and Fantasy (my 3 got to workhorse gourmands).
Believe stays close to the skin on me.
Bad Girls Perfumes, a fun, great book by Sarah Colton, described Fantasy as a Provocative Love Potion and Believe as bright and inspiration, good for gold-diggers to lure in wealth men (tongue in cheek)…
    Absolutely good value perfumes.
I am so cheerful that when on sale, like today, I could grab 3 of my favs for a mere AUD20 each (total $60 for 300 ml of good juice).
I like Naughty Fantasy (powdery) as well as Rocker Femme (creamy) and Hidden smells like Christmas and Private Show is a yummy coffee latte (but these doesn’t hold long on me).

This perfume is unique compared to the rest of Britney’s line. I admit it’s not a love for me but it’s a like. I do not smell any bakery or praline type elements in it at all. If you want something like that go for Viva la Juicy. This opens up with a very strong fruity tropical scent. I get a lot of the guava. After an hour or so the florals and patchouli come out strong. The best way to describe this scent is it is fresh and clean like the juice. I think it makes a nice day scent for spring and summer time. It is very strong so go light on it. I prefer Fantasy but that is just a personal taste. This is very well done.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

I’m not sure what it’s is about this perfume but sometime it ‘s almost nauseating to me. I think it might be the guava or maybe it’s the sour quality to it but it doesn’t sit well in the heat and definitely not good if applied liberally. This is surprising cause I would like to classify this one as Summer but I can’t. When I can stand it I find it a very unique smell and the lime blossom is very appealing along side the praline and tangerine.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Bought the small bottle yesterday as I really liked how the Believe tester smelt however wasn’t sure if I would love it. Believe has a very strong opening, very fruity, kinda citrusy. I’m not sure if thats the Guava or Tangerine doing that as I don’t know what Guava smells like. As Believe dries down thats when the patchouli really starts to kick in. If you aren’t keen on patchouli scents, I wouldn’t recommend this perfume at all as it is very musky in this perfume. However if you liked perfumes such as ‘Rebelle’ by Rihanna and ‘True Reflections’ by Kim Kardashian, then you might get away with this. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this, as many people think it is quite safe to blind buy Britney Spears fragrances, but not for this one.
I rate this perfume a 6/10. Believe has a very unique packaging compared to the classic Curious and Fantasy perfumes, and since Radiance and Private Show were nonexistent during this perfume’s release, it was probably Britney’s most unique bottle and scent of that time. I am comfortable with the scent, i’m not too sure if i’d repurchase again but if I don’t get sick of it by the time I use it up then I may consider buying the full-size bottle. Again, if you’re a lover of patchouli and citrus fragrances, Believe will most likely be for you.

I finally found a Britney Spears fragrance that works for me!! For years I was continuously hearing from other fragrance enthusiasts that her fragrances were impressive. So I tried, and tried, and tried every one that crossed my path. I found the fantasy’s too sweet. I found curious quite “meh.” But Believe made me a Believer! I would love to see her make a gazillion flankers of this like she did Fantasy!
I find Believe to be extremely versatile and underrated. This could easily be worn by any age, gender, and in any season. For the sake of describing the fragrance to readers who are new to it, I will say this is a fruitchouli in the same vein as Jimmy Choo EDP or even more so, Kim Kardashian GOLD. It has a similar fruity citrus opening and ambery patchouli dry down that KK Gold has. It shares the same vibe. Although, I think I find Believe slightly more wearable and again, versatile than Gold. But if you like that one, you’re probably going to love this! Freshness and sexiness rival for the spot as keyword used to describe Believe. This one is just a keeper. Believe is one of those easy to reach for fragrances on days when you can’t decide what to wear because it’s just never the “wrong answer.” I really dislike most of her perfumes. This one and Naughty Fantasy are the only two I like, but this is definitely my favorite!
I really can’t say enough good about Believe… Britney, Make another one like this PLEASE!

  39. :

Believe is mouth watering citrus and sweetness casually draped on a body of patchouli. There is an underlying creaminess that reminds me of the scent of women’s make-up.
I can’t stress enough that every time I spray this, my mouth waters – that’s how photorealistic the guava and tangerine combo are! The juicy tart citrus stays for the life of the scent but scales back as the fragrance dries down.
There are moments where this reminds me of a green citrus-fruit version of Black XS for men. There are also moments where I catch slight wisps of Thierry Mugler’s Angel. But overall, Believe has its own identity.
The bottle is beautiful but extremely odd to hold and spray. I have the reformulated version as my bottle does not have the metal plate with the “B ♥ ” on it. The longevity and sillage are very average. The original formulation is much heavier on the patchouli and vividly calls to mind Thierry Mugler’s Angel. I’ve tested it time and time again at the discount stores that carry the Britney Spears’s line.
I would confidently say a man can pull this off, because I find this to be unisex. It’s sweet, it’s tart, it’s creamy, it’s warm spicy (the patchouli is very tamed). This is a “definitely recommend” for me!

I remember the first time I smelled this, I was waiting for Britney’s Blackout album to be released (October 2007, the worst time of her life). I rushed to the store the day it was released and when I opened it there was a sample of Believe! I instantly loved it and went out and bought it for myself. Since then, I’ve finished at least 7 or 8 bottles of this.
I’m not going to review this based on nostalgia, but what I think of it today, and trust me, my taste changes so much so nostalgia doesn’t affect my opinion.
This is a fresh, fruity Patchouli scent. Usually, Patchouli can be dirty and sweaty but not in here, it’s quite fresh and less polarizing than fragrances like Angel. Guava is very prominent and adds fruitiness to the scent without making it childish. I detect a bit of tangerine which adds freshness and juiciness, and a bit of Praline which adds a subtle sweetness. I enjoy wearing this in every weather, it’s very versatile. Can be professional and casual. And it’s quite unisex smelling, not too feminine.
Longevity is excellent on me, the sillage is moderate and the fragrance leaves a nice soft trail, it always get compliments for me. I think I’ll always love this scent 🙂
Britney, please ditch the Fantasy line for a while and release something like this again!

I had this about 10 year ago (mustve been when It came out) and I wasn’t fussed,BUT forward 10years and I just got a 30ml yesterday and I LOVE IT!!It has this opening of yummy sweet citrus, none of that bitter citrus that some have and then the dry down is just like a sweet flowery gardenia type scent,a bit like Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia on the dry down and it lasts for hours and hours and perfumes never last on me.The flowery side to it isn’t an old flower smell either, its more like a sugary flower, just lovely!!! The bottle is gorgeous and much classier than in pictures,i love this even more than the original Fantasy.I would totally recommend re-smelling it if you tried it in the past and want to try again as I don’t know if they have changed the scent or if it is just my body chemistry that have changed but its wonderful 🙂

Believe is delicious! This is by far the best fresh patchouli scent I have smelled in awhile. You get this yummy tropical juicy burst from tangerine and guava and then AMAZING fresh patchouli. Not at all dirty or over musty to me. But then I love patch and my nose is very sensitive to fresh vs dirty vs earthy. People that hate patchouli are just straight going to hate this lol This is probably sharing a spot with fantasy the naughty remix for best Britney in my wardrobe. I hope I get the strength of silage/longevity some people have gotten with this one cause it is sky rocketing up the list of my favorite scents for summer.

If you cut a guava and spray TM Angel over it, Believe is what you get. But it does smell really good. A bit strong and very potent scent this is. I get a lot of guava out of it. Never thought guava scent would smell so good, but Believe does. I like it, others may or may not.

I am so grateful to Fragrantica for getting my ‘designer frag snob’ head out my arse long enough to try out celebrity and drugstore scents. I am clearly very late to this party!
I really, really enjoy this fragrance. In fact the more I wear it the more I love it. On me it’s such a fresh patchouli, it lasts long and the sillage is fantastic. The dry down is my favourite part and it leaves such a unique trail unlike anything I’ve smelled before. So far I am really impressed with my new found treasures. Thanks again Fragrantica and all Fragranticans for your honest and helpful reviews.

As of yesterday, I changed this perfume from a “Like” to a “Love”. There’s a burst of juiciness that makes it a sweet perfume, but not candy sweet, which balances out the patchouli, which I find to be a really good patchouli scent as someone who used to just wear straight-up patchouli oil everyday. I think green is an extremely appropriate color for this bottle. It makes me happy to smell it and I’ve received many compliments wearing this fragrance from many different different people of all ages and from both men and women. It’s popular, but not popular enough that people automatically can tell what you’re wearing.

Comienza como un aroma frutal pero el patchouli es demasiado fuerte y mata esa fragancia…generando un olor fuerte como para alguien mayor. Tiene una buena fijación dura muchisimo en la piel. Pero para mi es demasiado fuerte.

It’s taken me 2 days to figure out what this smells like. I have smelled it before & am on the fence about BOTH **Narciso Rodriguez**. Almost twins. I may give it away, I may find something I can workin with it, so far Vanilla or coconut wasn’t enough…or it may be a bathroom spray. Not for me.

I bought a bottle of this, its a gorgious, chunky, immature fun looking huge big green liquid cut-glass-gem object. The shape makes it a bit hard to fit amongst my bottles.
I’ve been pushing this one aside feeling like it would be too uncomfortable to wear, because even though I love the scent which is a powerful lime blossom with amber on me, its so different to all my other scents, that I get the feeling I’m going to stand out for the new newness about me, and one has to feel brave for that.
Well I decided it was time to be brave and am wearing this. The lime blossom and amber stand out the most on me.
I’ve had compliments galore and my husband loves it on me. It’s kind of statementy, and lasts really well like a perfume tattoo. Casual like me, and vibrant like I’d like to be.
This might be made a decade or so ago, but for me it’s new because I’ve never had the opportunity to smell this before.

I got this in a gift set with matching lotion. I collect mostly all of the Britney perfumes and also some of the lotions. I bought it even though it has patchouli, which tends to make me feel ill if it’s strong. Unfortunately this is a somewhat strong one. It isn’t the worst for me, but I can’t really wear it. The patch takes over the other notes, but not as bad as some other fragrances. I love the bottle.
The lotion is terrific! It smells so nice and sweet and fruity, the guava is noticeable. I don’t get any patchouli in it. Why can’t the perfume smell like this? It would be one of my favorites. I would love to find a guava scent that is sweet like this.
I couldn’t believe the lotion was so nice. Probably my favorite celebrity perfume scented lotion besides Fantasy.

This is my only BS perfume, and I bought it after reading many reviews. When it arrived I liked it, particularly the lovely patchouli, but it was only a like. But I found I was reaching for this perfume more often than some of my main-stay loves, and one day I was actually craving the beautiful Patchouli, guava and praline notes!….. I can honestly say that it was definately not love at first sniff, but like grew into love, and now I reach for it a lot, and enjoy it all day long as the longevity is fantastic ( 12+ hours). Yes it took its’ time, but I adore this fragrance now.

Was it ten years ago? I had a small bottle of Believe. At the time I preferred it to Curious and Fantasy. It was more mature. Just ten short years ago wearing a womens fragrance was out of the question. I’d use it in my room just to smell in private. How times change. Now nothing is off limits. Women perfume, sweet perfume, celebrity and anything else I like is fair game. Patchouli can be dank. Even here I see the sweet trend is not into patch .. anywhere .. not even in a JLO. Believe is a light and airy Patchouli however. You aren’t going to not smell it but it’s playful here and more easy than most. This is also as close to chocolate with BSpears as you’ll get with the praline. The bottle is a gorgeous geometric shape with a green color suggesting what is inside. Cap a bit clumsy. I’m sure this wasn’t sweet enough to expand as a flanker but I’m glad they made this one. It’s hard when people say they want something different from you when in all honesty they don’t. Nice little fume for those who like a little diversity.

Way back when I was a pre-teen or at the start of my teen years I knew this very trendy girl, I always imagined her to be a super model. She was always perfectly groomed while the rest of us were still learning that scrunchies are not “cool” and sh
