A clean pure white jasmine scent on a bed of white musk. Amber in the base grounds the scent. Theres a green herbal and powdery makeup type scent with a lilt of camphor to keep things fresh. If you are looking for a clean, bright jasmine based scent for warm weather.. this is for you..In the drydown a sour note appeared (magenta?)Personally its too light and airy for me.
At $507 for 55ml, I can happily skip it.
(they must have undergone a dramatic price increase since the last review posted)
official notes:
Delicate jungle herbs, stephanotis blossoms, absolutes of Tahitian tiaré and honeysuckle, jasmine sambac enfleurage, green Ceylon powder, sheer magenta, lactonic amber, ivory musk

Bel Epoq opens a beautiful bouquet of clean fresh jasmine a la “a la nuit” without the grenadine note; then, it evolves to an even fresher and cleaner jasmine, beating all tubureuse/jasmine scents in its price category, including carnal flower which is ruined by the unnecessary coconut — pardon my digression here:
if it takes 1 ton=1000kilograms=2,200 lbs, or pounds to do some 1 pound of absolue, why bother adding a $2 cheap coconut to carnal flower that does not justify its presence; nature has provided two separate habitats for jasmine and coconut!
Back to bel epoq: in its middle phase, Ezra Woods and Alia Reza prove their mastery of not needing any isoindole, c8h7n, which was disguised by the camphora note in the case of Lutens’tub criminelle, the peach in Caron’s tubureuse, or the mazaher in Montale’s jasmin full!
In addition, it is worthy to note that bel epoq has no
clove or red pepper, for a change: it is the clean natural flower as mother nature exige, hence its name lamenting la belle époque of perfumery when fresh flowers, and their oils, mandated!
Although I happen to be a Fan of Nasomatto’s nuda (unnaturally ‘trafiquee’) and venus (spicy/narquotiue), and Lutens’ criminelle, in this version, Regime des Fleurs has finally fulfilled our request for a fresh/natural mélange! It is interesting to see who/perfume house will dare to challenge them?
Even as bel epoq dries down, it magically mixes with a faint but unsweetened amber base to hold the whole thing together, while the jasmine is still emanating!
Superb, Splendid, and Breathtaking from beginning to end! In its price range category ($150 for an oz), it is unbeatable!
Enjoy…
