Description

Beige Eau de Parfum, “a perfume that honors the unique color,” is a simplistic, yet sensual, interpretation of a hawthorn bouquet mixed with powdery freesia flowers, frangipani, and honey. Perfumer Jacques Polge wanted to reinterpret what Mademoiselle Chanel once said: ”I take refuge in beige because it’s natural.”

The fragrances are available as a 75 ml and a 200 ml Eau de Parfum.

Beige Eau de Parfum was launched in 2016.

I love this fragrance! It has a extravagant Chanel overall scent but the base of it is the best type of honey! It smells so beautiful and nostalgic. I have been getting a whiff of it all day here and there and I am in love. Too bad its expensive. Does anyone want to trade? I will swap a couple if interested. I would love to get my hands on this.

This is a wonderful scent. It’s marketed towards women, but guys can pull it off. There are definitely some unisex fragrances that I don’t feel I can pull off – this is not one of them.

kapted, they are definitely different. I had a sample of the EDP (and didn’t realize there was an EDP and EDT version) I ended up buying the EDT version and was freaking out because it was different enough that I thought I had either received a fake or that it had been reformulated to hell. I now own both versions.
The EDT is lighter and softer, the hawthorne note feels more prominent to me, the EDP is sweeter and brighter and the honey+frangipani note is more profound. I love both but if I had to choose, I’d pick the EDP.
They are about 85-90% the same but different enough that it freaked me out.

The scent of old money riches.
Elegant, brilliantly feminine, honeyed-bright and light, but not exactly subtle. She definitely has a presence but a hint of elusiveness; that makes her quite intriguingly untouchable.

Beige, like the neutral color – at first I found it boring. Smelling it from a decant, it perhaps did not have its full power.
But now I have a few carded samples of the Eau de Toilette and that it a whole different matter. Sprayed with only a little spritz on the back on my neck, it really has surrounding qualities, like leaving a trail or filling the air of the elevator. It is lovely. Feminine, rich, thick, creamy, and lighthearted at the same time. It unfolds right away and seems to last for hours, with a few harmonious changes along the way drying down to a warm base that does not smell stale even the next day. The fantasy of it would be “sitting under an beach umbrella on a tropical island, enjoying a slight sea breeze, sipping a refreshing drink and all the while smelling the hanging plumeria blossoms of the island”. Take me away!

This is something out of my normal preference. In saying that, I thoroughly enjoy wearing it. I wear it daytime and I also use it to layer with other fragrances. It has a lovely warm base to it. Nothing stings my nose as harsh. It is smooth and easy going. It would suit a laid back woman who is still feminine in her jeans and tshirt. I love it for it’s easy going nature.

I first sampled this in the summer time and while I didn’t dislike it, I found it to be pretty boring and promptly threw it back in my sample box to live until tonight, when I wanted a little something to sniff before bed but nothing that was going to keep me up. Pulling out my sample again in winter, I don’t find it quite so boring, but still close enough to Bath and Body Works Plumeria (which I loved in high school) to make me feel a bit too old to wear it. There’s nothing wrong with this scent! It’s a soft, sweet, fresh freesia (which I also loved ages ago). It smells good! It’s just my association that keeps me from being able to really enjoy this perfume, and I can’t help the feeling that’s like walking into, well, Bath and Body Works- it’s nice for someone, but not for me anymore.

In my first review for Beige, in relation to the Eau de Toilette, I referred to the EdP as ‘boring and gross’. Rather than come back in order to expand upon such a simplistic criticism, I’ve come to rescind my complaints and praise it.
I was never a fan of the EdT or the parfum, but the EdP I’ve grown to rather enjoy upon wearing it properly at home. I have a half full sample from a kind donation and in just one hour… I like it, quite a lot.
It’s slightly powdery and, luckily, freesia takes the spotlight in this. Fragipani has always been a tough beast for my skin to slay and more often than not, my chemistry loses the battle. With this, it doesn’t seem to be. It’s not quite so linear as I once branded it. It’s a honeyed floral through and through, but it does take on very subtle changes as time progresses.
This is definitely elegant and enjoyable. I might not splurge on a bottle, but it’s at least nice to know that I don’t hate it. Hating a fragrance can take up so much effort, especially when many others like it.
If being Beige means being this, don’t colour me Beige… but consider me an ally who enjoys being around those who are this.

I really like this, I smell clearly the frangipani and honey in it, but after a while it may be a little cloying for me. A bit too sweet in my skin and I wonder if I could get tired of it if I tried to wear it frequently. Anyway I can’t do that for now since I only have a 2 ml sample.
But I love how I wear it, though. Really feminine and classy, it gets powdery after a couple of hours.
The longevity and projection are ok, but could be better, like all Les Exclusifs it lacks power (but it’s not the worst of the line in this aspect).
A must try for anyone wanting to underline her feminine side.

simply the best, perfection. Wish it lasted longer. I layer over Chanel No.5 vintage parfum, wow….show stopper or with Premiere.
although I would never layer with anything else. Simply the best

I avoided this perfume for years because of the name. Beige? How BORING I thought. I’m kicking myself.
This is an interesting one. When I tested on my wrist I couldn’t stop sniffing. Creamy, sweet, floral. It smells like class, well blended, gentle, not a hard edge in teh whole thing.
Today, with a proper wear I find it incredibly SOFT. I cannot put my nose up against my neck or chest where it is applied and so instead of those intense creamy whiffs I’m instead finding myself walking around thinking I’m not smelling anything, but also thinking the world just smells divine today.
It’s hard to describe but it doesn’t smell like I’m wearing perfume. It just smells like life is a little sweet, a hint of floral like a spring breeze, and this creaminess in the back of my throat that’s almost subliminal. I’m wearing just three sprays and it is very chilly today so that may cause some of the softness? Still, utterly lovely but a very discreet fragrance.

This is so unique. Look, I have applied Dark Purple by Montale and Beige. Montale is created to be strong, deep, thick. And it is. Beige is created to be subtle, cozy, a bit descrete. And it is, but in a way that it fades away Montale at the end. There are people that seem fragile and soft at the beginning but within time you discover the full power of their personality. Because a great personality always shows itself. Same here.
I hear a very fresh note and warm happiness of tiare here. Great sillage, great quality, great character.
