I’ve been surprised how much I’ve been enjoying this inconspicuous little scent. I was actually annoyed by it at first, the very first time I tried it on, and let it sit for a few weeks before trying again this week. Now I realize that once the black currant settles down a bit after around half an hour, it is a very pretty and pleasing fruity-rosy scent that I could still smell on myself after a few hours. I find it works especially well on muggy summer days as it’s light enough, yet pretty and lively enough to not knock you over, but pick you up instead. I am so glad I was gifted this scent and will continue to enjoy it.

I love this perfume so much! It reminds me of one of my favorite perfumes called sapphire rain from charming charlies

Avon Be Romantic EDT (a sample) is a tenacious sticky, thick, sweet dark berry scent on me. It’s quite similar to Avon’s Rare Amethyst. I find both scents overwhelming with their sticky sweet and cloying dark berry notes. It could be an age issue for me because now in my early 60s, my nose seems more sensitive to what I perceive as strong scents.

Romantic? I think this is more one of those Escada summer edition-type of fruit punches. It is very cheerful, perfect for summer or a holiday, very youthful.
The bottle design shows that it is clearly targeted for younger generation’s taste.
I do think that romantic means powdery, including for example roses, iris, lilac, some soft elegant notes.
BeRomantic is more like a happy jump in the air, holiday has begun! In it’s own category, a floral fruity for young girls, it is a very pleasant scent.
My review is based on the catalog tester.
