Description
Inspired by the show Strictly Come Dancing, Avon is launching two fragrances: Ballroom Beauty and Latin Sensation in 2012. The exclusive fragrant pair was created in collaboration with BBC Worldwide which broadcasted the popular dance show. The perfumes arrive in flacons shaped like Christmas balls for decorating Christmas tree and are colored in dark pink, accompanied with body care products. Glamour and shine are supported by passions and excitement of dancers on the stage enjoying their dance.
Holidays simply invite us to dance and bring a bunch of cheerful rhythms, and two new fragrances accompany holiday fever with their theme and design. Ballroom Beauty arrives in pale pink bottle and is constructed as floral-fruity. Top notes cheer us up with a combination of raspberry, candied lemon and wild strawberry, announcing a floral heart full of rose petals cuddling jasmine and violet leaves. The base provides sensuality and warmth with a blend of musk, sandalwood and amber.
Avon Ballroom Beauty is available as 50ml EDT accompanied with 15ml purse spray and 100ml body mist.

Another lovely woody raspberry totally ruined by too much amber!:( The ozonic notes comes up to rescue the situation but even this fresh ozon will not save the day – amber takes over!:( Ozon disappears within a minute or so.
I guess it was the general tendency of the previous decade – to sweeten up naturally sweet fruit…
Ok, it’s not a “sugar-amber” disaster but in the headnotes the disaster seems imminent. In the heart and base notes the scent luckily settles down, bitter florals come to the surface and what we’re left with is an elegant, deep and sweet but not sickening floral-fruity. The drydown after an hour is gorgeous – it reminds me of Oriflame SAGA – only this one is softer, warmer and cozier. An intriguing combination, really worth trying:)

DimAn – :
Definitely an Avon fragrance, but lush all the same. Makes me feel a little more grown up and elegant and is very pleasant to wear, which is all I ask for from an Avon frag.

Sweet and tangy, fruit. I feel like I’ve been enveloped by a pink elephant. It isn’t a terrible pink elephant, but definitely not something I’d like to carry around or have others remember about me. Will save it for those moments of pretending to be a teenager.

It’s very sweet, fruity, girly, powdery. Doesn’t suit me but it’s a good representation of its type of fragrance. Has that definite Avon note, slight but noticeable.
High marks for the bottle and the idea of a Christmas bauble and a glittery ballroom sphere. At least it shows some attempt at creativity.
